Hello everyone!
We're starting up a group for fan-fiction writers on BMGf. If you're serious about writing and want CONSTRUCTIVE criticism (You MUST be able to handle criticism. Absolutely no whining D
from other writers that know spelling, proper grammar and other things that make a story not suck, then we'd love to have you join us. If I can get enough members then there's a possibility that we could make this into an actual usergroup. Other possibilities include starting a LiveJournal community and partying it up in the [HASHTAG]#NandosHarp[/HASHTAG] channel from time to time.
Before I go on, I want to stress that this is a community to help people grow in their writing and to help people write that piece that's been floating around in their heads for a while. A lot of people suck at writing, but that's mostly because of lack of guidance. That being said, here's a few ground rules:
1. Absolutely NO flaming of any kind. We see enough of that around here. Let's keep it civil, ok? This rule is non-negotiable.
2. You need to spell and use correct grammar. This is a writer's club after all. This rule is non-negotiable.
3. As I said before, NO whining. There is a lot of bad fanfiction floating around and I suspect the people who write those fics might want to join. That's fine guys, but if you aren't serious and can't write properly, you're going to get a LOT of criticism. You will not be flamed, but you will hear a lot of things you do not like. Suck it up. Earn respect by polishing your stories. Read some books on creative writing. Ask for advice and pay attention to it when it is given to you. If you write below a middle school level, work on your skills and then join up with us. This rule is non-negotiable.
4. Please don't post entire chapters of stories here. This rule is negotiable. Let's see what happens and what people want to do first.
5. Have fun! :3
If we are able to get a usergroup established, you will need to PM Nando or myself if you want to join. Thanks guys!
