The Broken Credo

The Broken is a group of teens in Castelia City, Unova. They are a group of runaways who have had suffered horrible lives before being saved by Pokemon, and ran away at the attempt at a better life. They have a home located in an abandoned apartment building, which also functions as there base. With the aid of Pokemon, they are hired to solve mysteries and fight for the wronged in exchange for some money, but they'll do it free of charge depending on the client's situation. The Broken consider Pokemon friends and beloved partners, and their looked up to by the younger kids of Castelia, but their not exactly liked by the Police (They consider The Broken to be juvenile delinquents...)

This is an RP where you'll play a member of The Broken, someone who has had a rough life and was saved by Pokemon, before running away from home. You'll help with missions such as gathering food, solving mysteries for clients, or fighting off city thugs. But most of important of all, you're character overcoming their scars.

Appearance: Becca stands at 5,4 and weighs 110 lbs. She is fairly slim, with an hourglass figure. Her skin is pale and her eyes are a pale blue, Becca's face is heart shaped and she has slightly bushy jet black hair that comes down to her waist. She wears a black tank top that reveals a small portion of her stomach and a pair of black skinny jeans with a pair of black leather boots. Her outfit is then completed with a silver chocker with a star pendant.

Personality: Becca is a passionate girl, with a fiery spirit and a charisma that others either admire or despise. She's very fond of Pokemon, thinking of them as close as family, and she likes both cute, and edgy Pokemon. Becca feels responsible for everyone in The Broken, since she's the leader, and thinks as the entire group as a family. Becca likes music, preferring modern rock. And she doesn't like computers, thinking there not user friendly.

History: Becca is from Nimbasa City, and from a wealthy family. Her parents were overbearing, controlling, and never aloud to have any freedom. Her mother told her "Be like a doll... Don't speak unless spoken to, don't move without being told to, don't ruin things for you're father." Becca's rebellious nature couldn't be subdued. She embraced her free will, and actually snuck out of her home, to explore the streets of Nimbasa. She met and befriended a Eevee and Minccino. Glad to see two Pokemon that embraced her for who she truly was, she ran away from home with them and settled in Castelia City. She started The Broken to reach out to other tormented teens, and became the leader.

Appearance: Edmund is short and skinny, standing at 5'3". He has thin wild hair like brown straw and a light face. His nickname 'Angel' comes from his baby-face, round and pudgy, which people used to tease him about until they found out his skill with his fists and a knife. He has scarred, skinny arms. He doesn't get cold often, so usually sticks to a T-shirt and some Jeans. When in the open street he wears a cap at almost all times to cover his hair. The only clothes in good condition are his trainers, white with a blue insignia on them. He still hasn't found out what the insignia represents.

Personality: Edmund is a loner most of the time, prefering to work by himself and with his Pokémon. He gets short-man syndrome in groups, especially ones with older youths, and often gets violent, especially if people insult him. He is ruthless when needs be, although he isn't a mass murderer. He feels no responsibility, no connection except from to those that feed him and shelter him. Despite his violent ways he has a strong sense of honour, give to those that give, take from those that take. He isn't afraid to get into a fight, and not afraid to get hurt, that's the way of the street.

History: Edmund had rich parents, they loved him, in the way that rich parents do to an only child. He resented them, hated their laws and imposing nature. He started to get rowdy in their suburban house, invite other kids in from the less well-off areas into his house for parties when his parents were out. Eventually his parents caught him, and he ran away, joining the gangs that he had helped in Castelia.

There he was devious, eliminating or intimidating rivals. He got himself involved in the odd brawl, always came out victorious. He didn't spill too much blood, didn't get too hated. He became treasurer of the Red Fist gang, one of the most notorious in Castelia, part of the larger Red Fist network. However, he pulled all the strings, and the leader, a man named Clubber Bol, was putty in his hands. The gang were approached by Team Plasma, to supply the group with members taken off the streets, and as a 'trade partner'. It didn't take long to realise that Angel Catesby was becoming a threat, and he was betrayed, sold to Team Plasma by Clubber Bol.

His time in Plasma was the worst of his life. They tried to brainwash him, make him believe in the rubbish that they preached. He wasn't in for their idealistic behaviour, and so was conscripted into the Cult of Ghetis, an elite squad of Plasma members different to the rest. They worked for Ghetis, for the real Plasma. However, Angel ran away. He returned to Castelia with his new partner, Purrloin, and 'dealt' with Clubber Bol. He started his own group, made exclusively of Pokémon. They weren't as unreliable as humans, they were better agents. From then on he carried Bol's Baseball Bat with him wherever he went, and the item inspired fear in people.

That was when the Pokémon betrayed him and the Broken found him, in one of his haunts. He was taken into their group and took with him only a small, loyal band of Pokémon, and he resentfully let them. He is still there, alone but in a group, together, but apart.

Name: Catherine White

Nickname: Silence (but in some cases, she’s referred to as “Little Sister”)

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bi-curious

Appearance: Catherine’s hair is long and wavy, reaching down to her middle back. It normally appears brown, but it shines a brilliant copper in the sunlight. Her right eye is brown, but her left eye is blue. She’d normally wear comfortable clothes, like loose T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, Jeans, and almost never wears shoes.

Personality: Catherine was born Deaf and Mute, thus giving her the nickname “silence”. She can’t express anything through words and has a horrible time trying to understand lip-reading. She relies on her Pokémon very much to hear and speak, and thus she has an extremely close bond to her Pokémon. She absolutely loves Pokémon and treats them like her siblings. Catherine is usually kind-hearted, but because of her life in her early childhood, she may act feral when feeling threatened.

History: Catherine was born to very irresponsible and neglectful parents in the outskirts of Anville Town. They didn’t want to deal with her disabilities, so they never taught her how to lip read or even understand sign-language. They treated her like an animal and put her outside whenever she had thrown a temper tantrum, no matter what the temperature or weather.
In the lonely days of being forced outside, she had found a way to escape her parents. Catherine had discovered that Pokémon lived outside the boundaries of her home, and she instantly fell in love with them. She had spent two years playing with these Pokémon, and she had begun to make herself believe that she was a Pokémon herself. She refused to eat human food and only ate berries, she went as far as to walk on four legs and bare her teeth at people who walked by.
She was only four years old when she had met her first Pokémon. A mysterious Kirlia with one blue eye had walked into the neighborhood, hiding from Pokémon trainers attempting to catch her. Catherine had run into the Kirlia, and became fast friends. The two had a sisterly bond, and one day, the Kirlia had used her telepathy to talk to her. Over the years, Kirlia had taught several skills (including the English language) to the child, in hopes of making her act like a human again. When Catherine was 7 years old, Kirlia had seen what her parents were like, and thus became over-protective of the girl. Not even a month later, Catherine had run away with Kirlia and had begun their life as travelers, living off of whatever they could find.
6 years had passed since then, Kirlia had evolved into Gardevoir (now taken up the nickname “Big Sister”) and the duo refers to each other as sisters. Upon discovering “The Broken” in Castelia, Catherine had been curious about it and wanted to join. Gardevoir was skeptical about it, but had gone with her “Little Sister”, knowing that if there was any danger, she could protect her.

Hometown: Anville Town

Pokemon: Gardevoir, F, “Big Sister”, and Telepathy (only Pokémon so far)

Skills: Catherine has amazing climbing skills, due to the fact that she had climbed so many trees since she ran away. She also can easily understand the body language of Pokémon and gets along with almost every Pokémon. Even though it still has yet to be proved, some believe that she shares the ability to hear Pokémon along with N.

Other: The way Catherine hears and talks is through Big Sister. The Gardevoir transfers whatever she hears into telepathy and sends it to Catherine’s mind. Being able to read minds, Big Sister reads what Catherine wants to say and then she tells others through her Telepathy. Also, since both of them have one blue eye, it’s rumored that they might share genetics, but really, it was just a coincidence.

Appearance: Sam is tall at 6'3", a height which often intimidates people. He was a reasonably toned body, starting to beef out in the latter stages of his youth. He has a brown fringe that, despite everything, he manages to keep in good condition. He has a tanned body and grey eyes that stare steadily straight ahead. He has a confident gait with his long legs and shoe size 12. He wears fake converses most of the time, not believing in the trend of flip-flops or having the resources to buy some good trainers. He wears a random T-shirt with jeans, covered up by a black hoodie.

Personality: Sam is a natural leader, kind, relaxed, and tries to inspire other people around him. He imagines himself as Becca's Deputy, although no-one has that role and he is not senior enough to imagine that. He likes most other kids, and if he doesn't shows respect to them. He has a sense of honour, and gives back to those who give. He is also ambitious and tries hard to gain merit and good standing with other members of the Broken. He trusts everyone, and this often leads to people exploiting this trust. In a group he is relaxed and likes to laugh and joke.

History: Sam was one of those kids who tried hard but was never quite the top of the class. He was smart, undoubtebly, but never quite beat the geniusses or the uber-hard workers. He decided that the life of an Academic wasn't working for him, and told his parents this. They were hardly amused, but accepted this and suggested that he work for an Apprentiship, or pursue the arts. Sam still disagreed, he didn't know what to do yet, and so he arranged to go away for a year or two until he had. He travelled, slowly accumulating a group of Pokémon around him, until he bumped into the Broken in their infancy in Castelia. He would consider himself one of the original members and intends to stay there.

Appearance: Standing tall at 5,11 and weighing 170 pounds, Chris would be a intimidating figure...if he didn't slouch all the time. His long black hair covers his pale face, from a life of rarely going outside. The only thing that adds color to his face are his many pimples and green eyes. Wearing a black shirt with a skull on it, he completes his limited wardrobe with a pair of ripped jeans with black shoes.

Personality: Chris is very lazy. He would rather spend all day playing video games than any real work. He looks at pokemon as friends, but often treats them as characters in a video game. He cares for everyone in The Broken but is often harassed by them. Despite being weak, he has a great deal of potential. Probably.

History: Born and raised in Aspertia City, Chris was always content with spending his days playing games such as Alive! and Left 5 ever. Whenever the time came for him to begin his journey, he would always find a way out of it. Eventually, his father (A famous trainer himself) removed all of his systems, threw him some eggs, and locked him out of the house. Determined to prove his father he could be successful, he set off to Castelia City join Game Freak. When he got there, however, Game Freak had left. Left with no money and no way to contact home, Chris was forced to live on the streets. Once, he was about to get mugged by a small group of thugs, but was saved by some members of The Broken. Determined to repay his debt to them, he joined and began focusing on raising his pokemon. Kinda.

Sexuality: straight like 99% of the time

Apearance: About 6'3 and 210 pounds of (mostly) muscle Garret is fairly easy to spot in a crowd. Combine that with long black hair hazel eyes and deep booming voice plus the fact that he wears a myriad of zip off grey pants and blue or black shirts with puffy black shoes not to mention his hazel eyes and possibly satanic teeth smile and scar on his cheek you get possibly the most intimidating members the broken have had in a long time.

Personality: due to a string of bad relationships and indifferent parents the Brokens generally jolly white giant has a few chinks in his armor he generally trusts people but it takes him awhile to truly feel like he can depend on them he can get hurt fairly easy and is a little bit more sensitive than he likes to admit he tries to act like the unfeeling giant he appears to be but his true friends know that sometimes he'll crack under pressure.

History: His parents were both famous coordinators from Johto so when their son turned out not to have the agility or flair required he was disowned and kicked out at 12 he got his first pokemon a year later after an egg was mysteriously dropped off at his campsite fired up with newfound hope he began battling both with and without pokemon learning several types of martial arts along with his partners he eventually traveled to Castelia where almost upon arrival was knocked out by team Plasma and had two of his pokemon stolen leaving him with only two of the four he had learned to accept as his family after struggling to stay ALIVE for several weeks he eventually sought out the broken and going himself finding a new family to make up for his stolen ones.

Appearance: She wears diamonds for breakfast, loves jewelry and dresses in designer gear, her hair is blonde and always styled. She's very attractive.

Personality: Can be a bit of a Bitch but is very loyal to her team and pokemon. She stand for what is right. She is addicted to Glitz and Glamour, she'd tell someone what looks nice on them or what looks ugly on them to the persons face, she is superficial and loves singing although she can't at all. She is seductive and can try and manipulate people to get what she wants although she isn't sexual. She act's classy and posh but is mainly acting towards her superficial nature, she has an extremely strong bond with her pokemon Smoochum (Named Heidi) and will treat her like her baby.

History: Paris came from a rich background her parents had spoiled her rotten getting her whatever she wanted, although one day she saw a trainer passing by her mansion, she was watching from her palace like bedroom window, and saw that he had a shiny Larvitar as soon as she did she wanted it badly, begging her parents to get her one, they asked the trainer but he laughed at their smug rich faces and said no, this made Paris's blood boil. Her parents could only find normal larvitars but she wanted that shiny one and refused any others. Her parents eventually gave up and this made the 7 year old even more angry, she snuck out of bed that night and headed to the forest in the direction the trainer was heading for, she stumbled across his camp and saw the trainer sleeping along with larvitar and 5 other pokemon which looked rather scary looking although she couldn't see properly, she grabbed the larvitar and ran as fast as she could back home, she could hear the trainer shouting behind her but she made it. When she got there her father was furious for her stealing, she had never seen that side of him before but he absolutely hated her for it and gave her a few slaps her mother also encouraged him to, this motivated her to run away from her home as it was only making her into a rich snob which she wanted to change, since then she slightly has, Larvitar is now Tyranitar and has two other pokemons. Her Tyranitar loves her now but she know's what she done was terrible and can hardly look at it so hardly chooses him. Smoochum is her most adored pokemon she never wants to evolve it, she also has a Ralts which she loves too.
She spotted the Broken when she was travelling through Castelia City dazzled that there was other trainers that came from similar situations she shly asked to join.

Pokemon: Female Smoochum Named Heidi ability:Forewarn , Female Ralts Named Britney ability: synchronize and Male Shiny Tyranitar Named Fierce Abilty: sandstream.
She uses her first two mostly, Tyranitar NEVER comes out she only uses him when she really needs to.

Skills: Not a real skill but her model like beauty is one in her eyes. She is also an incredible drawer/painter but doesn't care for that talent of hers.

Appearance: Fairly average height if not a bit tall, her skin is devastatingly pale, and her eyes are a bright scarlet. Her jet black hair extends to shoulder length. She tends to wear black. Nothing more colorful in any way. Her typical outfit consists of black skinny jeans, a black suit-like top under an ever-open black leather jacket, along with black combat boots.

Personality: She can be easily considered a sadist. She finds blood very delicious, and considers torturing others in any way fun. Mind you, this does NOT mean she senselessly hurts people just for the heck of it. She harms when she feels need be. Otherwise, she seems pretty calm, all except for her obvious hatred of people trying to get friendly. She has a love for Dark and Ghost types. She's also fond of the cold and Ice types. She shows distaste for bright colors, and isn't afraid of even large threats. She would much rather prefer overcast and/or rainy over sunny any day.

History: Kemne was born into a loving, caring family, regardless of what she thinks. Her parents were always telling her to be a "good girl" and tried to teach her proper manners, so that she may be a well-loved person in the future. They forced her to stay in her private school, do all that was needed of it, and learn more than she felt necessary for her age, leading to boredom during school. They signed her up for Krav Maga and Mixed Martial Arts classes that lasted years. Kemne never really found this life interesting. In fact, she prayed for change on a massive scale. One night, those prayers actually came to life. Kemne came back from her trip to her friend's house, and noticed the lights off. Her father was lying on the floor covered in blood and an unknown loony bin escapee was holding a gun to Kemne's mother. Kemne acted on impulse and promptly used her training in Krav Maga and MMA to promptly attack and kill the serial killer. Somehow, this gave her the most morbid sense of fun and excitement, and let her find the interest she was looking for. The gun was shaken from alignment and shot Kemne's mother in the stomach instead of the head. She told Kemne to take the quickest path to Castelia, just before she died. Unfortunately, the path there was full of misery and dread, and Kemne quickly learned to hate humans more and more. It wasn't long before she found a wild Snorunt and Sneasel whom she began to trust. She traveled with them, and eventually learned how to catch them. She eventually found a very clingy girl that she gave up trying to force to leave. Upon Kemne's arrival at Castelia, she went to the area that seemed best for them both: the abandoned apartment building for the Broken.

Pokemon: Weavile "Fang"; Female; Pressure.
Frosslass "Mary"; Female; Cursed Body

Skills: Kemne is quite agile and able to use her body well, due to the years of training from when she was younger.
Other: 1) Kemne has a bloodstained knife of unknown origin with her always.
2) Her Pokémon act like her in many ways.
3) Fang, her Weavile, is homosexual. Attract will only work when used by another Female.

Age: 14

Appearance: She has a fair tone of skin, just short of pale. Her blonde hair extends to her waist in the ponytail adorned with a large orange bow. Her bangs just pass her forest green eyes, and her typical outfit includes a loose white long-sleeved... dress(?) that extends to the middle of her thighs, and a pair of neon pink sneakers.

Personality: She is beyond timid. Luriss is scared of everything, and will shy away from offers. She doesn't like getting involved much, and will sometimes back off if someone approaches her. She is seemingly mute, and it is unknown whether this is from her timid nature or a birth problem. She also deeply cares about nature, mostly plants, and hates for a plant to get hurt.

History: Luriss lived a life of fear, pain, and sadness; she's lucky to be ALIVE. When she was four, her parents were killed by a war veteran gone insane. She was sent to an orphanage/academy that was in secret, a prison of sorts. The place reeked of blood, and people were killed left and right. You would make a friend, and the next day, they die bloody on the floor. It was years of this before one random day, the place was demolished with everyone still in it. It took a day to get out of the wreckage, only to find that as far as the eye could see, ruins and bodies peppered the wasteland, and the sun was blocked out by an intense ever-present cloud of dust, smoke, and floating debris. It took forever, walking along in a desolate land to find life. Unfortunately, it was a battle between regions, using tanks and battle copters. Luriss was taken hostage, and was thought to be a spy working for the opposing military. She was then sent to a prison base, with little food and cruel soldiers. The soldiers would beat her, among many other despicable acts, and no one would help her, sympathize, anything. One day, the prisoners were freed, along with her, and a boat sent her to a distant region, prosperous and healthy. The first person she met there, and the first person she trusted in years, she would always follow. Kemne, she called herself, and assigned the name of Luriss to her. No matter how much Kemne hated it, Luriss wouldn't leave. Eventually, Kemne brought her to Castelia City, and they both joined the Broken together.

Skills: She somehow developed an ability to communicate speechlessly to Pokémon, similar to telepathy.

Other: Her Roserade is quite different from her, acting as a more courageous and somewhat arrogant entity, always willing to fight. She is quite protective of Luriss.

Personality: Sancticus is a very serious man, devoted to both the Law and Castelia city. He shows no mercy to his opponents, and engages in some dubious acts of violence to take down enemies. He acts slightly charasmatic in his goal of purging the city of crimes, so much so that some think he is "The Scourge of Crime." He hates the Broken, and calls all criminals, no matter how trivial their crimes, scum. He believes the world is divided in between Good and Evil; nothing more, nothing less.

History: Sancticus was born in Pallet town, but was raised near Viridian. Sancticus was a childhood friend of Xanus De Niro, the two being Rivals to each other on their journey. This ended in a match at the Pokemon League where Sancticus was defeated by Xanus. Sancticus decided to become an aide for Professor Oak, learning nearly everything about Pokemon. Sancticus stayed there for a while before he finally decided to try for the rank of an Elite Four member. When Sancticus got to the Pokemon League, he discovered that Xanus was Champion. The two had a match for the title, with Xanus once again being the winner.

After Team Rockets rise to power, Sancticus joined in order to feel stronger. After Giovanni's defeat, the four admins of Team rocket attempted to kill Xanus. Sancticus found out, and in the process of stopping the Electrodes explosion got some heavy scars on the back of his body. Sancticus, angered that Team Rocket would stoop so low, went on a rampage of the main Rocket base, weakening their relations with other regions and their pokemon trade. Xanus found Sancticus weakened, and prepared to bring him to jail for being a Rocket member.

Sancticus managed to escape before he got put in jail, and wanted revenge on Xanus for ruining his life. Knowing he was in no condition to beat Xanus, he fled to Castelia City to partake in the growing crime trade. He stayed there for a while, gaining a name for himself, before his men (Rocket Grunts in disguise) turned on him, nearly killing him and putting him in depression.

As he was about to jump off of Skyarrow bridge, he realized that the men he had worked with were scum, like Team Rocket. Knowing that he could have a chance to stop them and do more for the world than Xanus, he joined a police force back in Sinnoh. Due to the rising number of crime in Castelia, Sancticus was transferred to his old crime territory, feeling ALIVE! as he hunts the scum on the streets.

Appearance: Nhight stands tall at 6' 4''. He has bright red hair that extends straight to his shoulders. His bangs are the same length as the rest of his hair. His left eye is green, his right one blue, and his body is pure muscle, no fat. He generally wears a black t-shirt with a black leather hooded vest over it, leather fingerless gloves, black jeans, and s***kickers. His skin is pale.

Personality: Nhight's personality can be described as animalistic and human. He is a gentleman and cares greatly for others when they earn it. He is very protective of those he cares for. He is also very aggressive, even to the point of growling. He is downright murderous if his loves ones are harmed at all. He lives to joke around with friends about just about anything and takes most things toward him as jokes. He is very loyal, honest,and sees Pokemon and people as equals. He tends to purr like a Pokemon and move like one.

History: Nhightt grew up with his gay fathers, his mother a surrogate he never met. Both fathers were cops. When he was 7 his father who didn't share his blood (one had donated sperm for the purpose of his conception) died in an accident on the job leaving him with just his blooded father. Growing up he was often teased due to having two fathers and no mother. This often lead to fights with others most of which he lost at first leading to him working towards building up his body and skills.At eleven he met his first partner, a zubat that he named Vishous. He found him with his wing injured and nursed him back to health, causing the zubat to grow to like him. At fourteen he got his next partner in an egg for hos birthday, an Eevee he named Rhage. His other father was soon murdered after by a boy a little older than Nhight. The boy was angry because his father left the family in favor of trying to court Nhight's father. Nhight saw the end of the deed after it was too late to save his father. He reacted to this by putting the other in the hospital inches from death, the police pulling him off of the kid. With no fathers left he was left with his surrogate mother who had married an aristocrat an had a son and daughter. Due to his different colored eyes he was ignored and hidden. Everyone saw them as a defect an treated him horridly. After a year of the abuse he ran away and lived on his own in the streets until he met The Broken who accepted him despite his defects. He then joined them.

He spent most of his childhood playing with Pokemon rather than other kids which caused the formation of his animalistic behavior.
