Well, it's the Browser Poll, with one simple question... Which browser do you use?

Firefox, I love my add-ons. I also use Chrome as a back up browser, sometimes FF has it's "off" days...

IE8. Because unlike firefox, it has tab protection, so if one tab crashes, the whole browser doesnt go as well. Oh, and IE8 has web slices and doesnt delete cookies.

Dunno... in the many years that I've been running firefox (forget which version I started with, but it was a 1.x), I can't think of a time where I've had a tab crash that led to FF completely no working. I've had java scripts that have been not responding and have had a message from firefox asking if I wanted to stop the script so as to not slow down my browser though...

And after that, my vote is probably obvious.

Safari, because it's the most powerful browser, and because so many browsers have copied it. Also, because Macs are best.
^_^

Microsoft/Windows Internet Explorer 8.

It is just simply awesome. Words cannot even begi to describe it.

Long story short: fast, easy, secure, stable, tab protection, OS integration, etc.

firefox, unless you bog it down with hundreds of add ons, its faster than any other browser, and the amount of customization you can do on it is phenomenal. Also, its compatible with every OS, and has plugins for most Antivirus software.

I've dabbled in pretty much all of them, but I run Firefox as my primary. I beat the crap out of it, but it holds up fairly well, it helps me get work done, and I like keeping tabs (ha) on its development.

Opera is pretty solid but doesn't have a native theme, which is a total deal-killer, and its UI is very much built by engineers: options arranged non-intuitively, keyboard shortcuts not standard, etc.

Safari has a lot of nice UI tricks, but it ultimately doesn't do a lot. The Debug menu is cool, but you have to hack it into appearing, and half the stuff seems to be for debugging Safari itself rather than Web development. It's a shame, too, because WebKit seems to act as a testing ground for a lot of experimental HTML extensions. Also, doesn't run on my platform.

Chrome has the same sort of problem. Slick UI but ultimately doesn't do a lot. Also, lack of native skinning, and the build for my platform is garbage at the moment.

Internet Explorer is just starting to emerge from being utterly worthless. It's almost caught up with basic rendering just as the other three engines are speeding ahead with half a dozen other things that IE will likely take years to support. Microsoft's response is to add useless gimmicks like slices. It has no redeeming value whatsoever and I wish it would die. Also, it doesn't run on my platform. And I guess you could say it's not natively skinned either.

elinks is great and I keep using it as a backup browser over Opera for some reason.

Camino is alright, but I'm not sure why it still needs to exist now that Firefox is at least fairly well supported on OS X.

I wonder how SeaMonkey is doing lately. I used it back when it was the Mozilla Suite, but that was quite some time ago. 2001 or so.

Mozilla's Firefox internet navigator is such a delight to use. I have previously used Internet Explorer only to find much displeasure with having multiple Windows open when Firefox kept everything neatly inside one Window. And even when Internet Explorer followed Mozilla Firefox's tab path, I still found the program rather laggy and awkward. For example if the user types "google.com" in the address bar on Mozilla Firefox, they will find that it takes them directly to the site, even though they left out the "www" at the beginning. However, Internet Explorer is pathetic with this simple matter. If you forget the prefix, they will claim that they cannot find the page. This is, as my mother put it, a rather primitive behavior.

When I am using the Nintendo DSi handheld, the only way of accessing the world wide web is via Opera. If I had a choice between Opera and Mozilla Firefox, I would instead use the latter. However, personally, I am just glad to be able to get onto the internet through my DSi.

Mozzilla, obviously. I mean, the multitude of addons it has! My favourite is ColourTabs, as it makes the whole thing so pretty...

I use Firefox as my primary browser, and Safari as a backup. I use IE8 very rarely so I didn't tick it.

Firefox IMO is the best out there. Its fast, user-friendly, and easy to use. I made mine cool with the Vista theme on XP and hiding the menu bar. I sort of adapted the design from IE7 into this, because at the time I used IE more. I'm pretty much use Firefox now.

Most computers I use have IE on them, but my main home desktop has Fire Fox which I use regularly.

Firefox and it's add ons are average user friendly, :) user friendly things are always a plus that's why Microsoft Windows operating systems are better than Linux.

I use Firefox for most evrything, except for long videos (Hulu, BBC iPlayer) which I use Chrome for, because it loads them faster.

Mozilla Firefox ftw. It's fast, secure, reliable, and customizable. Couldn't really ask for much more.

I alternate between Firefox and Internet Explorer, but I've started using FF a lot more, though I don't have add-ons except for flash or something.

IE as my main, safari as my back up, and firefox when i want to. and for some reasom chrome works in places where i hardly have a wi-fi connection with my laptop. idk why but i ccouldnt use ie or safari but chrome worked perfectly. it was really weird.
