I've decided to drop further development of the Go-Rock Squad and transform its intentions into a Battle Frontier for the Bulbagarden Wifi community.

Right now the idea's in its infacy, so please, post here if you're interested in the idea and be a part of it.

Butler...looks like everyone is going in their own directions! Good luck with the Bulba-Frontier, Butler!

I think you should keep the name as Go Rock. The Bulba prefix is a bit misleading, as that title is used for things with the LIAM STAMP OF APPROVAL, and such.

Good thought, Paperfairy.....I've got it. I'll just combine both ideas, have each member of the Squad be like a Brain. Easy as pie.

How should we create the challenges though? Should each member make up their own challenge, should I create all seven, what do you think?

Well, you did create the system, but it would be nice for the members to create them too. Maybe you should have a poll on the Sub-Board when it is made IF it is made.

Another kink to work out: what kind of challenges? Do we do mono-type battle challenges, no-status-effects battles, or what?

Hmm... Maybe a 3-on-3 battle where you can only use attacks that don't do direct damage? ((Of course, such attacks as Future Sight wouldn't be allowed, either.)) Just status effects and stat lowerers. By doing that, you really have to think about a Pokemon's type, as well: As an example, a steel-type would be good, as it's immune to poison. Healing moves would have to be illegal for this, as well, or you could just get a Blissey in there and beat everybody.

But basically, something where you have to whittle down the opponent's health and stats would be a cool, albeit most likely very long and perhaps difficult, challenge.

Just an idea. ^_^

does Pokémon level come into play?
Cuz I got another idea: Pokémon at a fixed level, like 50 or 100.

I think each brain should make up their challenge, but you can give hints or suggestions here and there.

A challenge where you can only use baby/unevolved pokemon? This would mean no pokemon that doesn't evolve, as their stats would be higher.

I'd like to see a Brain that forces both him/herself and the challenger to use a character themed team, from either the anime, games or manga. That'd be interesting. ^_^

That is an Awesome! Idea, I've got a May/Haruka theme team ready to go!

If I join, I'd like to call dibs on Green's team. (PokéSpecial) ^_^

That's actually a great idea, I really like it! So we've got one out of seven definite...

1. Anime Character teams

Once we work out all six challenge themes (obviously, the seventh is mine) I'll start the process of choosing the members of the band (the Brains) by taking submissions of teams for the challenges and from those choosing the ones I think represent the individual challenges the best.

Since I'm the head of this new Battle Frontier (the Go-Rock Frontier?) do I get to drive the hot rod and talk like a pimp like Scott? ~_^

1. Anime themed? Aww man. = ( I meant any party from any character....

2. lol Pie

3. Yes, you can drive a hot rod and be a total pimp. But you can't be the seventh brain, since you're Scott.

Ah, a misunderstanding. Character themed.

Scott is awesome but he's got one thing short: he only likes to WATCH battles. I have to be a part of the action.

I always wished that Scott would battle. He doesn't do so in the games or anime; maybe we'll see him battle in Pokémon Adventures.
