Welcome one and all, you have been cordially invited to the first annual Bulbagala here at the prestigious Lumiose Museum!

The Bulbagala is a competition hosted by the Pokemon Video Games forum. Using the trainer customization features, dress your trainer as best you can while matching a theme that we have chosen for you.

Starting on Monday, November 24th at 1PM UTC, You will have a submission period of 24 hours to post your trainer's outfit. Once the submission period closes, a new theme will be given out. This process continuing each day until Monday December 1st at 1pm UTC.

Then a voting period will begin, From December 1st through December 5th participants will vote for their favorite outfits including the overall winner as well as a winner for each theme. The results will then be announced sometime in mid-late December.

You wanna try your hand at the Bulbagala? The rules are pretty simple! Sign-up below with two games you will be using to compete. You can change which two games you are using up until the sign-up period closes. Then, you are locked into these games for the remainder of the contest.

The following games may be used for this competition:

  • Pokémon X and Pokémon Y
  • Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon
  • Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon
  • Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield (And DLC)
  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus
  • Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet (And DLC)
  • Pokémon Legends: Z-A

For each theme you will choose one game. You can upload direct screenshots of your game, or photos of the game screen. Which ever method is the easiest for you. Please remember that all images must be 1000x1000 pixels and below. Otherwise, they must be placed under a spoiler tab.

You have no later then November 24th at 12:59 PM UTC to sign up.

Prizes will be given out to the overall winner and daily winners. All participants will be given a badge to display on their profile. You are not required to post everyday but we recommend it!!

As with all events and contests, both Global and Video Game forum rules applies. Additionally, our Spoiler Policy regarding ZA's DLC remains in effect for the entirety of the competition.

And for precocious participants who want to get a jumpstart on styling their character: here are a list of our themes:

NOVEMBER 25TH: The Jetset: The Pokémon World of Fashion ( Costumes based on exploring another region different then the game you're playing.)

NOVEMBER 27TH: In Lumiose: An Anthology of Trainers (Cosplay as a Trainer Class)
NOVEMBER 28TH: Tour de Z-A Royale (Your battle ready outfit for the Z-A Royale)
NOVEMBER 29TH: The House of Hygge (Comfy, Cozy Casual outfits.)
NOVEMBER 30TH: In Lumiose: A Lexicon of Pokémon (Cosplay as a Pokémon)

This keep things fair between participants! Some folks may only be able to participate with one of these games while others might have the full gamut of games. So keeping it to two games max keeps the competition on decently equal footing between everyone. c:
 
Oh, also (sorry if I misread it or something) do we take a picture in one our games of choice, or both? Like, for each prompt should I take one Scarlet picture and one Legends Arceus picture, or just choose one and take just a Scarlet picture?
