I looked around the plains of the Hoenn region. Honestly, I was completely lost and Raichu was no help. She didn't know how to read the map and neither did I.

"Damnit, I have no idea where I am," I groaned, plopping down on the soft soil.
 
I looked off the pier looking out to the ocean, knowing my goal is out there but why does it have to be out there. With pineco on my shoulder we walked towards town.

"Pineco i need to face my fears but its tougher to say it then to do it . "
"Cone Cone"

Looking around the ocean, I was just starting to see land, but I saw storm clouds out behind me, and they were gaining on me fast.
"Milotic, can you go any faster?" I asked my favorite companion. Milotic or Beauty, as I liked to call her responded, by speeding up.
 
Pineco was a good friend of mine he was my first pokemon and I really want him to evolve he wasnt much of a fighter in this state.

"Pineco if your gonna be there for me then you have to get stronger which is why were going to the petalburg forest to train."
"CONE"!
 
"Raichu, where in the world are we?" I asked, taking the map from her.
"Rai. ." Her ears lowered. I picked her 20 lb. body up and put her in my lap, stroking her as I looked over the map impatiently.
 
"Look its gonna be embaressing if my first pokemon cant even beat a little tailow so that will be our goal when we reach the forest ok."
"Cone"
"Thats the spirit lets go!"
 
"Hey, I think we're on this trail," I said, pointing to one of the routes. Raichu nodded her head.
"Rai!" She agreed, standing up. I noticed storm clouds in the distance.
"But we'd better get to a shelter soon before it rains on us," I said, folding up the map.
 
"Well here we are pineco you ready?"
"Pine"!!!
"Remember i always have metang to back you up if you get tired o.k"
"Cone Cone!"

"Beauty return!" I said, as I stepped back onto land, which I hadn't done since about 8 hrs. ago! "Oh, no! I just HAD to ride Beauty! They told me to take a ferry, but no!" I heaved a large sigh, and then looked around and pulled out, my Navicom, a device that allowed me to comumnicate with other people with Navicoms and it had several other useful features such as a map! "Now, just where is this Regice thing, I am supposed to be capturing?"
 
I found a small shelter, just a lodge, and ran inside, taking shelter from the rain that was coming.

"Man, it's cold outside," I shivered.
Raichu nodded her head, "Rai. ."
"I got an idea," I smiled.
 
Pineco was always the stubborn one he fought till the end.
"Look i have him as back up ok nothing more nothing less"
"Cone"?
"I promise"
 
I got out my PokéNav and looked through it, "ah, this really is better than a map." I said, searching through everything. Raichu ran off, looking through the lodge, and saw a TV. Curious as to what it was, she turned it on.

"Raichu, don't play with-!" I stopped when I saw an interesting Pokémon the the TV, "hey, that's the Regice I saw from earlier. ."
 
It was right then when i saw it, it wasnt a taillow but a swellow.
"Pineco look a swellow"!
"Cone cone"
After i said that pineco took off after the swellow.
"Pineco get back here damn he's gonna kill himself"!
"Go metang"
 
"Regice. . It's so amazing," I said, fascinated by this Pokémon I so desperately wanted to meet. Raichu also seemed mesmorized by this Pokémon.
 
"Meta"!!
The first thing the swellow thought when it saw pineco was prey and thats when it took a nose dive towards him, when pineco saw it coming it froze in tracks.
"Cone!!!"
"Go Metang use take down on the swellow"!
"Tang!!!"
 
I knew pineco would be safe after i saw Metang get it front of it.
"Swell"
That shot was enough to make the swellow fly away in fear
"Nice shot metang!
"Tang"!
"Good job take a good rest."
Then i looked at pineco.
As for you pineco , you need to learn how to be patient you couldve really gotten hurt."
"Cone"
"Its fine you dont need to apologize lets go home to petalburg thats enough for today."
I knew pineco meant well but i felt he'd never evolve.
 
"Oh, crap!" I shouted, realizing I was still freezing. I quickly brought out my Bagon and made her use Flamethrower. The flame trickled out of her mouth, just enough so that Raichu and I could sit by it and warm up.
 
When i returned home i realized that the house was empty.
"Figures moms never home."
"Cone?"
"Its ok pineco ill be fine."
"Cone"
"No worries here lets watch tv"
 
"Hey, the rain stopped!" I smiled, running outside, "now's the perfect time for some training." I let out all of my Pokémon. They smiled at me, calling out their individual names.
 
When i turned the tv the news broadcast caught my eye.
"We still have no news on the location of the hidden pokemon Regice but our cameras are still out there searching said the newscaster."
"Of course you wont i thought cause im gonna find Regice i thought i have too."
"Cone"?
"Pineco no more forest training tomorrow were heading out to the dessert near mauville. I have to make you strong and the desserts the perfect place."
"PINE!!!"
"Dont be scared we need this"
"Cone"
"Thats what i like to hear lets go to bed its late"
"Cone"
