With all the pokemon games I have the color of the cartridge is the same as the version of the game. Is it gonna be the same in this generation? I think a clear (diamond) DS card would be kinda neat.

the japanese ones are black so i reckon the US etc ones will be to

its lame because then they dont stand out like the other pokemon carts

Yeah, but it's not like you can see as much of it, like you could for a GBC/GBA cartridge, you know?

There's not a lot you can do with the DS Cards, so I doubt we'll ever see a coloured card but the Diamond/Pearl ones work better anyway - they fit the same colour scheme as the DS Boxart and the game label is reflective so the colour that is on it shines.

The Japanese carts are black (at least mine are), but I'm hoping that the English ones will be coloured. They most likely won't be, but I sure do hope that there's a holographic label.

Aww =(

now the mean peoples at lunch cant make fun of me for playing pokemon, lol

The first few Japanese games weren't coloured either, because they hadn't decided that all Pokémon games would be coloured yet - I know because the Donkey Kong Land games were coloured, so it wasn't because GBC wasn't out yet.

I don't want coloured carts this generation. For one thing, it would be quite hard to make them coloured, let alone clear or metallic. And I think, like Doctor Oak said, it matches the colour scheme a whole lot better.

Well, I had assumed it would be because of the prongs at the bottom where it slots into the DS. But meh, I've never made a game, so....

Yeah, I think making plastic is always as easy no matter which color. It may be more expensive though.

mmm... I wish that they were going to be colored. Though I'd prefer if they made them black with blue shine or red shine (respectively)

It would be simple for Nintendo to color them, but I think they won't because they are cheap.

I think Japan often gets shafted on the coloring thing. I have a japanese Silver, and it's colored- but in a really really weird way. (Half dark Grey on the front, Dark Blue on the back) I'm pretty sure Gold version had something as messed up as that too.

If they did color it, it'd probably be the front side only, since the back side is where the game's insertion prongs are.

I'd imagine that they could do it. After all, aren't Pokémon games the only colored GBA cartriges?

I think so, I'm not sure. But yeah, the DS carts don't need to be coloured considering the label takes up nearly the entire front face of the cart.

I hope they do it, simply because it's been tradition for every single major Pokemon, and some of the side games (Stadium 2, the RS box memory card...probably something else too)
But if they didn't color the Mystery Dungeon carts, I can see them skipping this one easily.
