Just gonna say it, rock 'n roll has become utterly facile. Case in point, Inside of You by Hoobastank; then again, what do you really expect from a stolen art form. I rest my case.

It's a corporately fueled money machine these, especially with accessible pop rock flooding the airwaves. Like no one ever expected that to happen.

I'll stick with my metal, thank you very much. One of the few genres that hasn't been poisoned, because metal labels care more about musicians than they do about heaps of money.

Hate to say it, but I say metal lyrics are nothing but the whining of angry white boys. Ever seen Metalocalypse on AS?

Exceptions are there every where. But Pop has been whored out like crazy compared to every other genre.

Really, Metallica, anyone?

That's bull. Don't single out Metallica when bands like Slayer have "sold out" just as much. Frankly, at least Metallica takes the effort to write music and lyrics (that could actually mean something). They have sold out but they're in a different category than for instance Slayer and Green Day, who have been rearranging notes a little since 1986 and 1994 respectively and call it a new record.

But obviously, if you diminish metal lyrics as being "angry white boys whining" you definitely know jack shit about the entire genre.

Metalocalypse is a spoof, a parody. In which case, it doesn't count.

No one else noticed the obvious troll?
