The new trailer shows a lot of information about it:

-Save Hoenn from an asteroid
-Stop Aqua and Magma
-Deoxys is involved
-Ride Rayquaza up to space (seriously cool) and battle (presumably Deoxys given the artwork)
-Zinnia, Wallace and Steven are involved

Could it be DLC/activated through an event or will it be available in all games from the beginning?
Will we see more "Episodes" in the future?
Thoughts about the events in the Delta Episode? (riding Rayquaza to space ;_;)

We saw a brief scene from the Delta Episode in a Japanese trailer. It appears that it starts during the main game as the player was in Mossdeep. A big green beam of light was coming down from the sky. But on the other hand, the official site's wording seems to indicate that it is separate from the main plot. Could very well be DLC. This may be what was trademarked as "Delta Emerald".

They reference the 3000 years old war and Wallace talks about receiving something from a huge man from Kalos, that's definitely AZ.
 
Given that the Delta Episode seems to include Rayquaza as a wild Pokemon, and I doubt that they'd either;

A. Make it doubly available, or
B. Not let us catch it normally.

This seems to be an extended Post Game.

And the screen shots on the official site seem to show Wallace at Sky Pillars entrance, and what looks like what could turn into a double battle in the Mossdeep space centre. Thats not a whole lot of Emerald included in the games, but its a small something, which I personally appreciate.
 
Sweet lordie, you actually get to fly into space on Rayquaza!? This probably means that both Rayquaza and Deoxys will be available in the main game, no event, code, or whatnot required. If so, then that's a major step in the right direction. It also appears that the Delta Chapter starts during the main game, but extends into post-game (at least, that's my understanding), if so, then that proves that ORAS will have at least some post-game content. And people were complaining about lackluster CoroCoro leaks. Knowing this makes me even more hyped for ORAS. My mind just went orbital (space joke). But in all seriousness, going into space on Rayquaza's back will be great, and it'll really show off the 3D capabilities of the 3DS, as well as give Pokemon a serious anchor for future 3DS games.
 
Gotta say, this is getting me more hyped than any of the old stuff ever did.

I like that you're wearing a space suit when you go up on Rayquaza. I 'unno, it's a nice touch.
 
Funny thing. Back then everyone wanted to enter the rocket in the Space Center and go to space. Now we go to space, but riding Rayquaza insntead of using the rocket. :lol:

The main story in R/S involved just Kyogre/Groudon and no Rayquaza at all -it was just found postgame without a plot, much like Giratina in D/P and Kyurem in B1/W1. And even in Emerald, Rayquaza just appeared to stop the mess and then leave with no chance to be caught until you return to Sky Pillar.

Now this seems to be an extended postgame for Rayquaza.
 
I don't know why, but for some reason, the asteroid falling down and crashing into the Earth is making me think of Mystery dungeon red and blue
 
I'm certainly interested. As long as it's either free/reasonably priced.

And as long as I don't have to go anywhere to get it.
 
It's cool and all but did they really have to insist on spoiling us EVERY SINGLE DETAIL about this game's story? I'm sorry but TPCi / Nintendo / Gamefreak / whoever handled the promotion for this game are just... stupid. They literally told us every single change to the plot from the RS story, they revealed all the new characters, they explained important plot points in detail, including showing us screenshots and videos from the biggest moments of the game.
I'm looking forward to playing but....... why? why insist on completely destroying our experience of playing this game?
 
So the Rayquaza encounter in Sky Pillar is part of the Delta Episode.

Will Rayquaza be like Xerneas and Yveltal in which it will keep re-spawning until you catch it? And will it be shiny-locked as well?
 
What really interests is how the mysteries of mega evolution will be made clear and how Zinnia has a certain destiny.

They haven't gone into that much detail about everything. There's still alot we don't know about the plot differences.

There is another screen showing the previous sentence and it says that AZ gave to Hoenn a giant tree.

Sounds like Episode Delta will begin to come into light towards the end of the main game, and then become the major postgame storyline. All abord the hype dragon.

Like what? We know about Rayquaza's appearance and the backstory provided for its mega evolution. We know about Rayquaza later taking you to space to battle Deoxys. We know the post-game involves Aqua/Magma steaing mega stones from people. We know AZ came to Hoenn long ago and supposedly planted there a tree that is very likely to be the cause of mega stones appearing in Hoenn and be the very root of the whole game's story. We know everything. Heck, we SAW everything, cause they didn't make do with just telling us but had to shove in our faces screenshots and videos too. The biggest moments of the game were already ruined for us.
I hate to be negative but I honestly feel like I watched a complete Let's Play of this game before it's even out...

Not everything has been revealed. We won't know all the details until we actually play the game.

And it's not fair to blame tPCI for "ruining" the game with the screenshots and videos when you had the option to not view any of them.
 
Well, this kind of explains how they'll mix in Emerald's story.

What's more I'm happy to see that Courtney and Matt seem to play a part since they originally got the shaft in Emerald :)

I wonder if Juan will get in on the act :-/ (Kinda hope so)

Also, I'm curious...you think they'll give Deoxys a new form :confused:
