At time of posting, I have the first three chapters done and a portion of the fourth. I promised myself I wouldn't post it here until I finished the fourth chapter but....oops. My writing style has changed quite a bit since I last worked on this fanfic, so I'll try to finish chapter four in my "old" writing style, then continue in my "new" one. Also, now I must thank you for reading this, in addition to the many other time I'll thank you.

Disclaimer: Pokémon™, Pikachu™, and related characters and indicia are trademarks of Nintendo™ and The Pokémon Company™. I don't own a Pokémon franchise and I don't think I ever will (O_O). *government vehicles pull up to her house and knock on her door* "You are under arrest for attempting to sell your Pokémon fiction via the internet as if you owned a Pokémon franchise!" I then respond, "What the heck?!!? I put a disclaimer in my fic! And plus I wasn't trying to sell it! I just posted it for the viewing enjoyment of my *coughcoughveryfewcough* readers! It must've been my evil twin!" *she and the government people go to an abandoned parking lot. You see a punky girl with spiky blond hair wearing a very exposing outfit* "See, that's her!" I exclaim. "Whatever. I just felt like annoying the crap out of innocent civilians such as yourself," said the goverment official. I didn't get it, but I went over to my evil twin and talked to her, since I hadn't seen her since they took my DNA. Though I don't get why they took my DNA, either. *shurgs* Anyhow, I say to her: "Why are you wearing something like that in public!?" She gives me a disgusted look and answers, "I don't know what you mean, little snippit, but at least I get all the hot guys." I then realize that my evil twin is at least three years older than me. I also make the dedection that she is absolutely nothing like long lost twin. Then an odd looking guy walks up to her and puts his arms around her shoulders. She gives me an 'I-told-you-so' look. *steam pours our of her ears* "What is your problem!!!?" I yell at her. "How the heck to do you expect to be my twin if you can't even copy my personality!!??!" At this point, I very upset because people are mistaking me for my evil twin who does not look anything like me and is nothing like me...and also because the government official left the abandoned parking lot without me, and since he drove me here I have no way home. So, I go sit against an abandoned building out of her sight and begin to wallow away in my thoughts and sorrow. After a few minutes, I hear a very familiar voice, talking to my evil twin. "Sorry for interupting, but do you know where Cadamay Miya is?" asks Tails. At first I believe that my twin is correct, but then I see the problem with my illogic. Tails isn't hot. *smiles innocently* I try not to look up and just let things run their course. I really want to jump up and hug him and tell him that I'm Cadamay. The only problem was that I'm in the insane Earth dimension and therefore I am stupid Hitchi. *cries* My evil twin answers, "No, you little punk." Then Tails looks at me in the shadows; I didn't look up but I can just feel his eyes. Anyhow, after that I drift of into my favourite type of alert sleeping so I still remember the thing with Tails. I hear a voice two inches away from me. I'm in a weird state a grogginess so I can't tell whose it is. All I know is that it's calling, "Cadamay, Cadamay!" So, I quickly and eagerly open my eyes thinking it's Tails, but then I just about faint over backwards (except there's a wall behind my back) when I see the government official. He says, "Hey, I'm sorry about your disclaimer, would you like this donut and a ride home?" I take the chocolate sprinkle pink frosting donut and climb into his vehicle. Then I get this weird uncontrollable thought that makes me paranoid for the rest of my life. If Ken Sugimori was here, I'd make him turn into Mr. Tanaka and beat up the government official. Anyhow, I ended up making a skimpy shirt for my evil twin that says, "I always write disclaimers whether you read them or not!" And I think she liked it. I learned about astro-projections of found Tails was simply an astro-projection the time I heard his voice, and I was grateful I didn't move then. And now I always put my disclaimers in big bold letters
I have no idea where that came from.... O_O'
A/N: In addition to what I mentioned way above, I want to say I gave Japanese names to all my characters. In other words, all the characters I made up have Japanese names and all other characters (gym leaders, etc.) have their English names. I'm not sure what made me decide to do this, especially since I didn't know very much about Japan when I began this. However, I plan to keep it that way. Kamina is a name I made up; I know it's not a "real" name (since Hitchi isn't a "real" English name, I made up Kamina for my Japanese name). Doesn't it really translate to "bite" or something?
I also made up the city of Tomoko. I'm pretty much writing this for myself. I usually just consider fanfics as practice for when I may actually become a novelist. But thank you to any readers!
Kamina turned off her GameBoy Color after the game saved. “Well, that was quite enough Silver Version for today,” she announced. The young girl loved playing Pokémon. Her parents let her play her GameBoy for hours at a time. She collected cards, had Pokémon dolls, and even dreamed about it.
She loved to go adventuring. Each day, even after school, she would go exploring with her friend Aya. Kamina brought her Pokémon cards everywhere with her, and sometimes her GameBoy. The vast woods all over her small town of Tomoko and throughout other towns, let her venture so freely. Sometimes she found herself quite lucky. Her pen pal in Tokyo had nowhere to explore except a jungle of concrete, and that was no wild jungle.
“I have to go meet Aya at the sign we found yesterday, today we investigate a part of the woods we’ve never explored before. It is very thick with vines and I’m sure few people have ever been there. I better pack up.” Kamina talked to herself a lot. It helped her get organized. She put some bug repellent and her Pokémon cards in her favorite duffle, the purple one with the green strap.
Roughly fifteen minutes later, she made it to the broken down sign in the forest where her and Aya turned back home the day before. The two friends made it there at about the same time.
“Are you ready?” Aya asked.
“I was born ready,” Kamina replied as they began they trek though the tangle of vines
“There’s a cool mist in here. It feels like air conditioning,” Kamina said gently.
“Ya, it’s neat,” Aya answered. She pushed back a mossy vine and the two found themselves in a clearing.
“Wow, it’s so, awesome! The trees are hanging above us, this is so mystical, with this spring,” Kamina said as she gazed in awe.
“It’s so breathtaking,” Aya added. “This place may have never been touched.” Kamina and Aya gazed the mysterious oasis.
“Look! In the middle of the spring, that, swirly thing!” Aya cried. There, in he middle of the spring, was a swirling purple thing. Kamina quickly responded.
“Awesome, that’s probably a gateway to another dimension!” Kamina exclaimed. “Ooh, who’s cool, we’re cool, who rocks, we rock!” she chanted.
“Are you sure about this?” Aya asked. “What if it’s an evil wormhole set up by aliens here to swallow us up?!!?”
“In here, no way,” Kamina countered as she began to wade into the shallow spring water.
“Oh no, don’t tell me –“Aya began, but Kamina interrupted.
“Yes, I am going to go to another dimension. And there is no way you are talking me out of it!” she called. “What’s there to lose?”
“Um, your life,” Aya suggested.
“No way, not here. This place is protected. It’s sacred. There’s something indescribably special about it.”
“Fine, fine with me. Kamina, I have known you for years. I never liked taking risks, but I still went on adventures with you. Slowly I began to like it, but I need to draw the line. I’m not going through that thing, but I’m not going to try to stop you either,” Aya proclaimed.
“Thanks, I knew I could count on you,” Kamina said as her leg disappeared in the purple swirl.
All Kamina could see was the sky getting father and farther away. The rushing wind was blowing her hair straight up. The clouds kept on going up but it seemed like she were still. Suddenly, with a great “Oof!” she smacked back down hard on the ground. It was actually soft dirt, but at the speed she was descending at, it seemed like diamond concrete.
She just lay there like part of the ground, unable to move or recall what was happening. Kamina couldn’t feel any cuts or scrapes, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t any. She just tried to close her eyes and relax, but she was disturbed by a voice.
“Hi there, what are you doing on the ground?” Kamina looked up and saw a woman wearing an apron. The end of her dark hair was curled and she had a pink headband to match her dress.
“I fell,” Kamina replied.
“Where from?” the lady asked. Kamina pointed to the sky. “What’s in your bag?”
“Pokémon cards,” she answered.
“Hmm, I didn’t know they made cards out of real Pokémon,” the woman said.
“But Pokémon aren’t real,” Kamina told her. “It’s just a game.”
“No, honey, Pokémon are real. A lot of Pokémon trainers start in this town.”
“Does that mean I’m in a different world? What happened to the real world?” Kamina asked herself.
“This is the real world,” the lady said. “There is no other world. Honey, did you bump your head? Why don’t you come back to my place and get some rest?” She helped Kamina up and walked her to her house. They only went a few paces, so Kamina figured she must’ve landed right outside the hospitable woman’s house.
“Here, you can rest here,” she lady said and she showed her a bed. Kamina must have immediately gone to sleep. Later she awoke; the lady was in her room.
“Have some warm soup,” she suggested. Kamina sat up and took the bowl.
“Thank you, um . . .”
“Miki, you can call me Miki,” the woman completed for her. “Are you feeling better?”
Kamina thought about it for a couple seconds. She was still a little sore from her fall, but that was it. Now she could talk without a huge effort to get the words out. “Yes, thank you,” she finally replied.
She began sipping the soup when Miki looked at her really good for the first time. Kamina had purpley-mauve hair done up in two high ponytails. Her eyes were as bright as the morning sun, and the color of amber. She looked short for her age, at least that’s what Miki thought.
“You said you liked Pokémon, right Kamina?” Miki asked.
“Yes, I love Pokémon, even though it’s not real. It’s just a game,” she answered.
Miki sighed. “Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if you would want to become a Pokémon trainer . . .” Miki began. Kamina’s ears perked up. “Why don’t I take you to Professor Elm? He’ll see if you’re ready.”
The young girl got out of the bed. “Okay let’s go!”
The two walked to Prof. Elm’s lab. As always, he was busy studying Pokémon.
“You wait here, honey,” Miki told her. She went into the area past a bunch of shelves, which Kamina could not see past. A few minutes later, Miki came back with Prof. Elm.
“So, I hear you want to become a Pokémon trainer, Kamina,” Prof. Elm said.
“Yes, I do!” she replied.
“When did you get here, to New Bark Town?” he asked.
“Well, earlier today,” she responded.
“How did you get here?”
“I fell from the sky,” Kamina answered. Miki whispered something in his ear.
“Okay, tell me everything you know about Pokémon,” Elm said.
“Well, that’s a lot, but here goes:” Kamina started, and then began talking very fast. “I know types and advantages, the different kinds of balls, all about evolution, I’ve heard the Poké Egg theory, I know battle strategies and the most important thing is to love your Pokémon, and it’s –“
“Wait! Wait! What was the last thing you said?” Prof. Elm asked quickly.
“And it’s,” Kamina replied.
“No, no, before that,” he corrected himself.
“Um, the most important thing is to love your Pokémon,” she suggested.
“Yes, yes! Maybe you might be able to become a trainer after all . . .” Elm said.
“Ya! When –“ she began with pseudo enthusiasm, as Pokémon were not real.
He interrupted. “But I think you should get a little more exposure to ‘this world,’” he said.
“Hey, I got an idea; let’s go to Sakura’s house. Her nephew is a Pokémon trainer, and I think he’s in-town now,” Miki said uneasily.
“Okay,” Kamina agreed. They walked to a house not far away from the lab, while the professor stayed at his building.
“Oh, you’re looking pale, honey. Why don’t you get some fresh air out here while I talk to Miss Kusube, alright?” Miki suggested. Kamina nodded.
She looked around while she was waiting. The very small town consisted of about five houses and Prof Elm’s lab. To her right, there was some kind of body of water. To her left, past the lab, there was a narrow path leaving the city.
Miki came out of the house. “Why don’t you come inside with me?” Kamina followed her inside. There was a thin lady with an apron on and her hair in a bun. She was pulling a cookie sheet out of the oven. Standing by a staircase was a young boy. He had blue hair neck-length, and looked experienced. She noticed the small Pokéballs on his belt. Kamina sat at the table with Miki.
The boy sat down next to her. He started whispering to her. “You’re Kamina, right?” he asked.
“Ya, how did you know?” she replied. He pointed to Miki.
“Well I’m Ken. As soon as we each eat a cookie, come upstairs with me.”
“Why? Are you’re aunt’s cookies bad or something?”
“No, just come with me,” he answered. They both ate a cookie fairly quickly. Kamina was wiping her mouth with a napkin.
“Thank y-“she began, but Ken grabbed her wrist and started for the staircase. “Why do you –“
“You’re the first person I’ve met from another world!” he exclaimed.
Kamina narrowed her eyes. “Really,” she said sarcastically.
“Well, who likes Pokémon, anyways,” Ken said.
“Oh, so you’ve met somebody from another world who didn’t like Pokémon?” Kamina asked sarcastically again.
“Okay, maybe not,” he replied.
“As assumed,” she said. They had reached an upstairs room. It appeared to be Ken’s bedroom. She looked all around there were so much Pokémon stuff. Dolls, posters, and even a radio station was playing a Pokémon station.
She looked on a table to find a Charmander and a Diglett doll, and in the corner there was a Snorlax doll. A Clefairy poster was hanging on the wall. Even her room at home didn’t look like this.
“So I heard you might become a Pokémon trainer,” Ken said.
“Ya, that would be cool, except for the fact that Pokémon aren’t real,” she replied disappointedly.
“Yes, there are, just look,” he said as he plucked a round object from his belt. He pushed a little button and a red laser formed into a Pidgeot. Kamina stood there in awe, but then straightened her face.
“Hey, you set that up! I know it!” she said angrily. He looked at her weirdly for a minute. Then it seemed as if he remembered something.
“Okay, then come over here,” He walked towards the window and beckoned her. Then Ken threw a Pokéball out the window. It popped open and a huge Steelix came out. “Now that one would be pretty hard to set up,” he countered. “Return, Pidgeot, return, Steelix.”
“Ken, come down her,” his aunt called from the base of the stairs.
“Alright, c’mon,” Ken said to Kamina. They ran down the stairs. Miss Kusube gave him a weird kind of look Kamina could not identify. “You stay here,” Ken said as he placed her against the wall. He ran into the kitchen with his aunt and Miki.
Of course she wasn’t trying to hear any part of their “huddle,” but Kamina could make out a few things said. “It may be necessary,” was said by Miki and “Yes, I know!” was said by Ken.
A few minutes later Ken jogged over to Kamina. “We’re going on a trip tomorrow!” he exclaimed.
She gulped. “A trip?”
“Yes,” Miss Kusube finished. “Now show Kamina to the guest room, Ken, we need to get up as early as we can tomorrow!”
The morning rays streamed through the window. A gentle breeze awoke Kamina. Her soft bed seemed to be even more resilient than the night before.
“Wake up, it’s almost time for us to leave!” a voice at the door said. It was Miss Kusube.
“Huh? What time is it?” Kamina asked tiredly.
“Let’s see, 6:04,” she replied. Kamina reluctantly got out of bed. It was then she realized she didn’t any clothes to change into. She was wearing the same ones that she had on yesterday when she fell into this “real Pokémon” world.
Then she remembered her favourite duffle. It was sitting at the foot of the bed. There was an outfit in there. Kamina and Aya never knew what to expect on their adventures.
But there was something Kamina didn’t know. She didn’t remember the forest, that amazing spring, or the dimension swirl. With all that, she couldn’t remember Aya either. Back at the spring, Aya worried about Kamina. She waited almost half an hour for Kamina to come back out of the swirl. Unexpectedly, Aya just had some confirmation, a peace of mind. Her heart was like an eager child, unrelaxed, but now it was all okay. She began to walk back to her house, with that.
She changed and used a spare toothbrush in Sakura’s bathroom to brush her teeth. She went downstairs and saw a bowl of cereal waiting for her at a place across from Ken. The box at the table said Sammy’s Oats.
Kamina sat down and began to eat. She had hardly taken three bites when Miss Kusube called out the door.
Ken said “We’re going to Verde Village in a helicopter!”
“Helicopter?” Kamina asked.
“Yes, since walking would take days, we own a helicopter. Cars aren’t used here as much. It’s a three person helicopter. A pilot, a co-pilot, and this little bed-like seat in the back. That’s where you’ll be.”
“Okay,” Kamina replied. She went out side and saw the helicopter was really small. Miss Kusube guided her in. They were off to Verde Village!
It seemed like they were in the air for about ten minutes or so. Kamina had nothing to do but stare at the ceiling. “Let us explain this to you,” Miss Kusube began. “Ken has been to every town in Johto.”
“Yup, I’ve been to every one, the only Pokémon trainer to do it. I figured if I couldn’t be a master, I could at least go to every town and be famous,” Ken proudly said.
Kamina gave him a dodgy look, although Ken couldn’t see her. “So if I ask anyone in Johto what Pokémon trainer has been to every town, they’ll tell me Ken Kusube?”
“Well, um, no,” Ken replied.
“As assumed,” Kamina finished.
“Nevertheless,” Miss Kusube began once again, “as you know we are going to Verde Village. There’s not much there, except a little shop called Mi Casa, a place where they make the stuff they sell in Mi Casa, and a psychiatrist.”
“We’re going to Mi Casa, right?” Kamina asked eagerly. She loved other cultures.
“No, sorry Kamina, we’re going to the psychiatrist,” she replied.
“Hehe, does Ken need a checkup?” Kamina joked.
“Well, no,” Miss Kusube replied. Suddenly it hit Kamina like a brick in the head. Miki told Prof Elm, Sakura and Ken that she’s from another world, the “real world.” And that’s what their pow-wow was about.! Maybe because her “fall,” Kamina thought and gave them the benefit of the doubt.
She heard the engine simmer down. “Okay, we’re here,” Miss Kusube announced. They all got out of the chopper. Kamina worried as they walked into the small building. A small plaque by the door read “Serena Sula, Psychiatrist.”
Serena greeted them at the door. She was a fairly young woman, with dark hair cut very short, and tons of jewelry around her wrists, fingers, and neck. She talked to Miss Kusube and Ken just as Miki had, but of course it must’ve been a different topic.
She guided Ken and Miss Kusube to a seat and brought Kamina behind a door. There was a bed-like couch Kamina was supposed to lay on, so she did.
“Hello, how are you today,” Serena asked.
“Um, okay,” Kamina replied
“What’s your name?” she asked.
“Don’t you already know my name?” Kamina asked.
“Yes Kamina, I do, sorry. You can call me Serena,” she said.
“Okay,” Kamina replied.
“So, how did you reach Johto?” Serena asked.
“I fell from the sky,” she replied honestly.
“What’s your view on Pokémon?” she asked.
“Well, they’re not really real, they’re just a game, in the real world, anyways. But here, in this world, they are real, I think,” Kamina answered.
“Why don’t you step outside for a moment?” Serena suggested. Kamina did. She studied Verde Village, every inch of it (and there weren’t too many). It vaguely reminded her of some place she’d been. It seemed to be enclosed in its own dome, separate from the whole rest of the world. What was it?
The Spring! Except for the facts that Verde Village had a couple buildings, and it had no water, the two places seemed as if they could be parallel dimensions. Dimensions. As Kamina thought the word, she tried to recollect something she knew.
“Go back inside,” she instructed Serena Sula. “Leave me here to think a few minutes and I’ll be back.” Serena followed Kamina’s instructions.
Things were coming back to here, but Kamina couldn’t put a finger on them. Dimensions. What was the significance of that word? The Spring, a parallel universe, and dimensions . . . link them all together. What did it mean? Wait . . . the “real world,” it was in a different dimension than this world, so there is this Pokémon world and also the “real world.” Two separate dimensions, but with one huge, same idea. It made no sense; it was too big of a coincidence.
If there were these two dimensions, there might as well be two hundred. Figuring she understood enough, a baffled Kamina walked back in Serena’s office.
“So, what is it?” Serena asked.
“I think I get it now.” She replied. “Before I ‘fell from the sky,’ which I really did, I was in a place that looked just like this village. Not necessarily the exact features, but the same ‘structure,’ if you will.
“It was a spring. In the middle of the water area, there was this purple swirl. It was just there. I was daring enough to go in it, or through it, and that’s when I ended up here.”
Serena was quickly scribbling on a yellowdog. She got a few more words down and looked up.
“Is that all?” she asked.
“No. I have more to tell you. In my dimension, the one I come from, Pokémon are just games. Pokémon is immensely popular, but still none of it is real, as it is here. That leads me thinking, this is the world from the games, this is where I am, I might just be in a game. But this place is so real, so natural, it was not created by man.
“That must mean there are possibly other dimensions, from other games, or perhaps things we cannot imagine.
“But back to Pokémon. The way it is in the game, the way it is so like here, same Pokémon, same types, same everything. Perhaps . . . well, a dimension ambassador, from my dimension, came here somehow. He is the creator of Pokémon. I’m afraid there is no other logical explanation.”
“I see—“
“I’m not done yet!” Kamina said in a would-be calm voice. She continued. “Since Pokémon is just a game in my dimension, it leads me to think there is a game in your dimension, which things do not exist in your dimension, but are very much real in mine. Think, Serena, what is one of the most popular video games here?”
“Let’s see,” Serena said shakily, “Oh! There are the Mario Bros. games! There’s this Italian guy…wait, what is Italian? And he has a brother named Luigi, and they’re plumbers. Does your world have Italian and plumbers?” she asked eagerly
Kamina sighed. “Italy is a country in my world. But the thing is, we have Mario Bros. games as well. Italian plumbers are real. But there are no Koopas in my dimension.”
“So I guess maybe that is the game!” Serena exclaimed.
“Wait…” Kamina began, somewhat disbelievingly. “I can see the world of Pokémon not having Italian plumbers, but undoubtedly this world has just any nationality of plumbers.”
“No, we do not have any kind of plumbers,” Serena replied. Kamina gave her a kind of squinty look.
“Well, then how do you unclog your toilets?” asked Kamina quizzically.
“Erm, let me just say, you don’t want to know…” Serena replied uneasily, shaking her head.
“So,” Kamina continued, disregarding what was just said, “we have found the connection between these ‘dimensions.’ I fully and heartily believe there is my world, and this world, and they truly exist in the universe.”
“Are you planning, or do want to go home?” Serena asked without partiality. Kamina widened her eyes, then quickly covered them in front of the psychiatrist. She had never really thought about it, anything from the real world except the spring and Pokémon games. As she uncovered her eyes, a smile spread on her face.
“No, I don’t really want to go home now. I want to stay here for awhile, this place, this whole dimension is really amazing to me.” Kamina answered happily.
“And you really love and know everything there is about Pokémon?” Serena asked.
“Yes, I think so,” Kamina replied casually.
“Well, then maybe you want to consider becoming a trainer and starting a journey of your own?”
Kamina felt woozy, but she just sat there, not moving and not thinking. Then a genuine smile spread on Kamina’s face.
“Yes, I would like that very much.” Kamina replied, overwhelmed with surprise but happiness.
“Then I have an idea,” Serena began. “If you want, this might help. My Espeon can erase any part of your memory.”
Kamina didn’t hear the part erasing her memory. “You have an Espeon?” she asked enthusiastically. She loved Pokémon that were cute and cuddly but still strong. The Eeveelutions were especially cool to her.
“Yes, she’s sleeping over in the corner.” Kamina quickly got up and stooped beside the Espeon. She was curled up in a fleecy bed in front of a small coffee table. The Espeon’s lavender coat shone beautifully, and her forehead jewel sparkled when it caught the sun.
“Wow, Espeon, you sure are lovely,” Kamina said with adoration. She reached out her hand and stroked her, and Espeon mewed and rubbed against her.
“So, would you like her to erase your memory?” Serena repeated.
“Hmm, I think so,” she replied. “But only part of it. I want to know who the gyms leaders are, and I want to remember type advantages, and the different types of balls. But I want to forget what I know lies ahead, like the Ruins of Alph. I want to be surprised, but be able to work out of an emergency, by digging deep into my memory.”
“Did you get that, Espeon?” Serena asked.
“Esp!” it said and nodded.
“Okay, Kamina, sit very on the couch and don’t move …” she said. Kamina did so. She felt a mystical air surround her, and her head starting swirling. Suddenly it all stopped, and it felt like the real, humid air stung her face.
“Alright, you can go back now,” Serena said, smiling.
“Thank you, Serena,” she said as she left into the lobby. Sakura put her arm around Kamina’s shoulder and lead her and Ken outside. She waved to Serena as she passed. They all (except Serena) got in the helicopter and headed back to New Bark Town.
“So you’re going on a Pokémon quest?” Ken asked. Kamina thought to herself a minute before answering.
“Yes.”
“My aunt will take you shopping tomorrow, since you’ll kinda be living here. And I’ll help you do anything to help you get started on your journey!”
“Thanks, Ken,” she replied. She smiled, but abruptly straightened her face in realization as Ken turned away. Kamina knew she shouldn’t make assumptions, but the idea struck her to hard.

The Dream Chaser
Chapter One ¤ A New Adventure
Chapter One ¤ A New Adventure
Chapter Two ¤ Really Pokémon
Chapter Three ¤ Psychiatrist
