You know what would be interesting?
A "2012" Pokemon film.

Groudon and Kyogre come to mind. Ground collapsing and volcanoes erupting, and giant waves drowning a city...

What other things could you expect to see?
Lugia and giant tornadoes?
Articuno and deep winters?
A ton of Absol in the beginning of the movie?

What do you guys think?
 
In the beginning there would be a stampede of Absol. Then it would be like in The Core with all the earthquakes and shit. Then the ocean would rise and cover the earth.
 
They'd never make that movie, buuut I guess it'd be cool. To be fair, we touched on the earth going haywire in the second Pokemon movie though.
 
This would be epic. Absol would appear to warn the main characters about the coming doom, then the fight between Kyogre and Groudon would start. Blizzards would be started by Articuno and Regice, volcanic eruptions would be caused by Groudon and Entei and thunderstorms would be caused by Zapdos and Raikou. Just when the world is about to collapse, Rayquaza or Arceus would appear and quell the legends into calming down.

An all-out Pokemon war would be fine, but the last thing we need is for it to be associated with 2012. In my opinion, anyway.
 
I would love a movie based on the end of the world even though it would never happen.

I'm a sucker for disaster movies either way, unless they suck of course.
 
Maybe Darkrai starts to enshroud large areas in nightmare-inducing darkness.
 
And Deoxys and Mewtwo are behind it all, not to mention Zoroark might be involved in some way.

HG/SS: It chases people and Pokémon from its territory by causing them to experience deep, nightmarish slumbers.

...I think you're being overly sensitive about that whole Lugia's family thing. Unless there's a new development in it that I've missed since the Orange Islands.

Sorry but I think it's a textbook case of why the anime is stupid, childish and inconsistent. :p
That whole episode ruined my favorite legendary.
Plus it's true, why would a Lugia be a problem if there's several of them? Oh wait, the animators don't even put enough effort into a plot to make it consistent, nevermind.
 
I think an all out pokemon war would be awesome. Like, The new legendaries Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Reshiram and Zekrom would decide that they wanted to destroy Earth, and then all the cool legendaries Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Articuno, and Latias would start fighting them to save the Earth. Articuno and Regice would team up to freeze Giratina, Lugia and Kyogre would team up to defeat Zekrom. Mewtwo, Celebi and Jirachi would cream Reshiram, Moltres Zapdos and Ho-oh will defeat Dialga, and Rayquaza, Latias and Darkrai will defeat Palkia, and then the last battle will be between Mew and Arceus. At the end of the battle Arceus will knock Mew into the water and try to drown it, but just when all looks lost, 20 Golducks come up out of the water and Hydro Pump Arceus to the Mars, where he is trapped forever!

If a thunderbolt can make a hot-air balloon explode then 20 hydro pumps are able to shoot an enormous creature in space.
What I'm saying is: It's Pokémon! Use your imagination!!
