As you may or may not have heard, PokéSpe FR/LG was concluded in the April issue of Sho6.

And that conclusion is...

Petrification of the characters. All of them - Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and Silver. In a scenario not entirely unlike the first movie, in that they were trying to stop Saki from attacking Deoxys in her attempt to capture it.

After the deus ex machina ending of RSE and the sudden, unexpected premature (if temporary) end to BF... this is rather shocking.

Discuss theories.

A few points:

- Crys was very quiet last month.... perhaps she's a rock too?
- Storc and Guile Hideout both have Starmie.
- Jirachi grants wishes, and the only way I can see them coming back is through a miracle.....

Well, the other theory is that... well, the characters are getting old, and this is a stop-gap measure to literally freeze them as they are until they can be brought back again.

That would lead to Gold and Crys becoming older than Silver.

It is also unnecessary. The writers invented their own timeline where the Ruby/Sapphire and FireRed/LeafGreen arcs occur two years after the events of the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc. They can very easily choose to set the seventh chapter a mere one year after the sixth chapter, which is presumably within a few months' distance of the fourth chapter (they did so with the third chapter compared to the second, although that was actually made to be consistent with the games). An encounter between Red and Dia would hardly be any more awkward than one between Red and Ruby.

Had they found the age factor to be a problem, they would have not rushed to add two years to Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and Silver's history (apparently a period of time spent in Johto for all but Yellow).

An interesting detail that seems to have been omitted in the reports, now that I have read this episode for myself - Mewtwo also jumped into the beam, but is not seen in any subsequent frame.

Prim, Okido and Kiwame discover the five... Kiwame is asked to hide the truth from Blue's parents, and then they call Masaki with the bad news. Then it ends with a double-page spread of the five, petrified.

Mewtwo will sacrifice itself to save them! or it'll just be another rock...I can see it now:
"Hey, ma, I think that rock looks like a Mewtwo and look a person-rock!"
"Come along Jess, I think your imagination is getting the better of-Oh no! A beam! No! No! NOOOOOOOO!"-(petrified)-

Can we get any scans from the final issue?

And i tought it was a very juicy cliff hanger!

What I've been wondering this whole time is where the hell is Gold?

Ten bucks says he'll appear in D/P. Most of Pokémon get new forms, and he IS the Hatcher, so we can be sure we'll be seeing Bonsly and Mantyke with him. Togekiss and Ambipom should also make a nice appear.

His Pichu with Surf and Fly would be nice, in reference to its parents.

I think he'll appear in the BF arc at the end to try and wish them all back to normal w/ jirachi.

and ty for the awesome pic!

since diamond and pearl is coming up they might end up coming back with the use of daliga and paluka (sp?) who knows thats my theory

When I read it (or the summary at least) I was so SAD. Like what a horrible, and short ending. Then I realized, it's suppose to tie in with the Emerald series.
I know Jirachi is going to have something to do with it.
It's really the most probable solution.
Unless they get a bunch of Pokemon to cry to stone away haha
