Want to predict the English names for what hasn't been shown in the English speaking Pokemon world yet? This is the spot for you to try out your psychic power! Pokemon names, human names, place names, episode titles; you name it!

I'll start with some of mine:

Hikari->Kari
Nozomi -> Moira
Naetoru-> Terrapine
Hikozaru-> Chimpyre
Pochama-> Rainguin
 
I bet Nozomi is Naomi. Though Moira suits her.

Hikari will be something utterly random and unpredictable. It's not like Brendon and May bear any resemblances to Yuuki and Haruka.

I like Terrapine. I won't try to predict any Pokemon names because I'm awful at that.

I picked Moira, because like Nozomi, that also means "wish"

Episode titles for D/P:

1. I Dream of Kari!
Naetoru episode-Terrapine Trouble! or The Trouble with Terrapine!
Poketch episode-File Not Found
Mimirore episode-Play With Me, Mimirore!
 
Natle should keep its name. Think about it:

Nature+Turtle=Natle

It fits perfectly! Then again, they never kept Perap's name.

Yeah...Who else....Not that good with names

Hikari=Kate
Nozomi=Nora (For some reason)
Shinji=No clue, probalby some badass guy name....

That's all of the top of my head. I'm not good with names so....
 
I will not presume to guess anything. I know that I have a very high chance of being wrong, although that is the best name for the turtle I have heard, although I feel it best serves its final evo, the island turtle.
 
I'm weighing on Hikari being Monica. Hikari will never be 'Kari' unless PUSA wants legal problems with Toei, or whoever owns Digimon state-side. Not to mention, highly unoriginal.

I /really/ want Shinji to be called Shannon. XD It would be awesome. As for Nozomi, ...well, heck, Aurora. *random guess!*
 
Naomi sounds like a good name for Nozomi.

Hikari...could be anything. I don't think any of us could ever correctly predict her english name.

Shinji....Sean...Sebastian...Simon...Sid...?
 
For some odd reason I quite like Hannah for Hikari, Hollie, I agree is quite a nice name as well for her to have. I would of also picked Lucy, but I doubt they'd have that since we have a Frontier Brain called that.

I really love Naomi for Nozomi, that fits really well :D Shinji? Hummmm, Shaun or Shane maybe? I have no idea, I think I quite like Shaun to be his name, he looks like a Shaun to me XD
 
You know, Hikari actually means light in Japanese. So a good English name for her might be Sunny (or Sonny depending on how they want to spell it).
 
I hope not. Everyone is freaking out and acting like Digimon made and owns the name.
 
I'm all for betting some of the default names for them in DP, depending on which one it is, will be related to space and time.

Hikari means light, everyone thinks her name'll start with M. I say that they name her Might! And then we'd have Might and May... and we'd have a start on the conditional verbs.
 
The English names for Hikari and Koki will be decided upon by NoA, not the dub team - and that usually means names not even close to the Japanese names in any way - as seen with May and Brendan - so I wouldn't even try to predict them.
 
Yeah, but I'm sure we will get complaints about how the names would of been better if 4kids was in charge.........speaking of which, I believe Solana would of been the same as well.

Shinji is also named after one of the lakes in game, but I don't expect that too transfer over.
 
I think Hikari should heep here name in D/P. It's cool, and easy to remember. Why change it?
 
Hikari is far too Japanese a name, NOA changes all the human characters names in the games, hers will definitely change too.
