This is a game based off the idea from this page:

Basically, you guys give me descriptions of dubbed Pokemon episodes, and I have to tell you the correct title (without looking at an episode guide).

This is how it works.

There are 10 episode descriptions/titles per round. There are 3 rounds in each game. The person with the most points at the end of a round wins that particular round, and the person who has the most points at the end of the game wins the game. If you have the most points at the end of a round, AND you've knocked me down to zero points, then you have a perfect score (that means you get bonus points with 300 points added to your score, you win that round, and depending on how high your score is you might also win the game).

I start off with 200 points, and the key to winning is, you have to get me to zero points by the end of 3 rounds.

However, I earn 10 points for every episode title that I guess correctly. The person who asked that question gets 20 points.

I get 5 chances to get the title right (unless I give up before then).

So if you give me a description, I miss the title 4 times, and I do not know the title on the 5th try, then you have officially "stumped me". This means, I lose 20 points, and the person who asked the question receives 100 points. So the only way you can make me lose points is by me not knowing the name of a title.

Okay, for example, someone gives me this description.

What was the name of the first season episode with the Yaz and Kaz gyms?

I say: "Showdown At Dark City"

I then receive 10 points, and the person who asked that question receives 20 points.

I lose a round if this happens:

If an episode-description-person has more points then I do at the end of a round.

I can lose the game if either of these happen:

1. If I have been "stumped" 3 times or more in the same round.

2. If I have zero points in a round (or by 3 rounds, the end of the game).

3. If someone obtains a perfect score, earning the most points in a particular round AND knocking me to zero points.

Okay, now that I've listed the rules and objective, who wants to play the game?

I need to have a list of who's playing, so I can keep track of everyone's points.

Or, if someone wants to, they could be an official Point Tracker, who adds up everyone's points.

This would make things much easier for me, since I'll be focusing on getting those titles right. ^^

The Ranking

PokemonTrainerLisa: 200 Points

Misty's Boyfriend: 20 Points
Senator Habunake: 20 Points
Kthleen: 100 Points

Ash and company find a 'Fossil Rush', and they get mixed up in a disaster involving Team Rocket and dynimite, and the day is saved by a performence by Jigglypuff. You'll get this. I know it.

Named after the infamous Vanilla Ice song which was believed to be a drug reference.

Heh.

Misty's Boyfriend, that's an easy one!! :-D

"Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon"

Okay, so that means I now have 210 points.

And you have 20 points.

I will edit my first post now. XD

Senator Habunake:

Is the answer, "Nice Pryce Baby"?

I'm not good with music references, because the only kind of music I listen to is video game and anime music (lol). You may have stumped me on that one. ^^o

Yup, your correct! (I'll get you next time my precious.....)

EDIT: it's not Fossil Fools?

This episode doesn't actually have to do with being angry, as the pun in its title might suggest.

Nope. I'm thinking raging anger, not jealous anger. Sorry, I probably should have mentioned that.

Oh, raging anger......

Let me try again:

"Rage Of Innocence"

Is that the correct title?

Nope, not it, either: if I recall correctly, the episode was all about Gyarados being very angry (and in pain...).

By the way, how many chances do you get to guess?

Oh yeah, that's right.

I never mentioned how many times I could guess......

I'm gonna set the limit at 4 times, meaning I can miss up to 4 times without worry.

However, if I get a title wrong on the 5th try, then you did a great job, and have officially stumped me. ^^

And with that said, I will now try a third time:

"Rough, Tough, Jigglypuff"

No, that's not it......

Aww, I give up. I concede defeat (unless, of course, you'd like to give me another hint?).

You got me on that one, Kthleen. I don't know it.

I can't think of which title it was, and there's many episodes that have a title like that, having something to do with anger in the title.

And by the way, just for the record, which episode were you thinking of?

It was "Fit to be Tide":

fit to be tied

Furious, enraged, as in I've been waiting for two hours and am fit to be tied. This expression implies anger so extreme that it requires physical restraint.

Oh, that episode!!

I always wondered what that phrase meant (seriously, I never knew what it meant until now).

Anyway, great job, Kthleen!! :)

So far, I'm back to 200 Points. And Kthleen now has 100 Points.

Three questions have been asked so far. And there are only seven descriptions/questions left for Round 1.

What will happen next?

Thanks! ^_^
And now you know a new phrase.

New ones:

1. The two things in this episode's title don't "make Ash dull"; in fact, in this episode, he and his friend (yes, singular) were hotshots.

2. This title doesn't describe the shape of the Pokémon, as most references to it do. Instead, its description of this Pokémon makes it sound more like a karate master's hands.

1. "All Torkoal, No Play"

I think I might have that one right. ^_^

2. "Machoke, Machoke, Man"

I'm not sure about that title. I'll probably have to take another guess at that one......

And by the way, Kthleen, you are really good at giving me challenging phrases/episode descriptions. I like that. It makes this game even more fun. :)

1. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

Dang! *snaps* Yup, that's it.

2. Afraid that's not it. Strangely enough, this episode isn't about what you think it's about, despite my clue.

Yay! My next episode (not connected to the two above) has a haiku clue!:

Yellow, green, day, fight.
Though there's red, no blood is shed.
Two groups' futures, bright.

Oooooh!
I've got a couple.
1. Pokemon goes Miami Vice!
2. Dizzy, the boat is spinning!
3. Wait a second! PB&J's can't roll, can they?

1. Hmm, that one's a bit tricky. I don't know what you mean by Miami Vice. I'll get back to you on this one.

2. That's easy! It has to be: "Battle Aboard The St. Anne"

3. Another easy one. It's gotta be "Less Is Morrison". XD

2. Afraid that's not it. Strangely enough, this episode isn't about what you think it's about, despite my clue.

2. Hmm, I've been thinking for a while. But I honestly can't think of anything for this one, so I'll just give it to you.

You can tell me what the title is now, if you want.

3. For the new phrase, how about this:

"Ariados, Amigos"

I know it's probably wrong, but that's the first thing that popped into my mind, when I thought of those 3 colors. Though, it doesn't make since with the rest of the haiku. ^^o

2. Usually when I hear this Pokémon's name, it's in connection with how round it and its eyes are. Meowth and the moon always come up in my head.
When I think of karate, I often think of breaking bricks. That would require hands that are conditioned to take the force; I also think that they would get kind of beat up from such stuff. I was originally going to put swordmaster's hands, since I seem to remember somebody (maybe from Rurouni Kenshin? I don't remember) saying something to a woman (or guy dressed up as a woman, or a guy who had a peaceful job... I just don't remember!) about how their hands were unusually tough and calloused, like a person who had worked a lot with a sword.

It was one you had already mentioned before: Rough, Tough, Jigglypuff.

3. Nope. Let try another clue:

Orange, green; blue, red.
The two, mortal enemies.
Pink hair judges them.

Wrong on all counts.
I don't know if the SS. Anne went for a spin, but the clue has more to do with the title, though it may have to do with the plot, only my memory has failed me. :(
On Miami Vice, it's an in-joke, but it also refers to what happens in the episode.
And if it's not Less is Morrison, it's probably got to be one other. I know that when I saw the episode, the absurdity of the edit made me laugh really hard.
