The first fifth generation Pokemon in movie 12?

Personally I believe that the first fifth generation Pokemon will debut in movie 12, possibly 2? We know the fifth generation is coming so do you think we will see the new Pokemon in next year's movie. I do, what about you?

I think it is highly probable that we shall see one or two Generation 5 Pokémon in the movie and I think it would make a lot of sense from a marketing perspective.
 
The unrevealed Pokémon from that advertisement was Shaymin's Sky forme. If there was a Gen V Pokémon in movie 11 then, from a marketing perspective, we would have been told about it by now.

As for Generation V, we don't have any official confirmation yet other than the general "tons of generations" quote from the recent Pokebeach interview. We probably will see the first Gen V Pokémon in movie 12 but there's not much else that can be said right now.
 
If there will be Generation V (and I have no reason to doubt there will be Gen V at this time), I am sure we'll see first Gen V Pokémon in Movie 12. In movie 11 it's not wise from marketing poerspective, since we already have not officially revealed all gen IV Pokémon. I only hope no new Gen V Pokémon will be marketed as Lucario were. I mean Lucario were marketed almost like Legendary that finally turns to be the same "Legendary" Togetic were back in Gen II. That, to be honest, is one of many reasons I hate Lucario and I really hope Pokémon Company will not repeat this lame mistake.
 
Well if there is going to be 5G i think they should get some good drawers and draw some orignal pokemon. i mean G4 was pretty bad. i think they wont show any 5G pokemon in movie 12. maybe in movie 13 and 14.

You must mean movie 12? Anyways I don't know if we told before Destiny Deoxys whether or not there would be Gen 4 pokémon because I am not as interested in the animé and the movies. I should think they would repeat the pattern either informing us or not, whatever they did the last time around. Although the excerpt I posted suggests they didn't tell us.
 
I think we'll only get Gen 5 when a new handheld pops up. Think about it. Gameboy color, gameboy advance and DS.
 
That won't happen until after another five years. It's been said that the developers plan to stick with the DS for a little while longer.
 
The DS has already been around for almost 4 years. Remember, the DS was released in 2004.

Nintendo's probably been working on its successor for awhile now, who knows when they'll reveal it though.
 
Destiny Deoxys was the second movie of the Advance Generation and Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin is the second movie of the Diamond & Pearl Generation so don't be so sure.
 
I knew about Mew before Togepi, but I believe that officially, yes, Togepi was revealed before Mew.

Gonbe/Munchlax was first revealed in May 2004, two months before the movie release. It is now four days before the latest movie release. We are not getting a new Pokémon in this movie. End of story.

Movie 12 is still a possibility. It depends on when Nintendo properly confirm Gen V.

And yet, the primary Pokemon games of a new region came two years later in Japan, and three years later for the U.S. The other games they've had between 2004-06 were the secondary games like Ranger. They're not about to throw the DS away.

I'm looking at the end of next year to 2010 for a proper screening of a Generation V Pokemon.
 
Well think about it? Red, Blue was on Gameboy. Gold, Sliver and Cristal were on Gameboy colour, Ruby,Shappire, Emerald, Firered and Leafgreen were on Gameboy advance and now Diamond and Pearl are on DS. maybe the 5G will be on DS and after that it will be on new console.
 
I always thought that Acueus was going to be featured in the 12th movie.

How exactly may I as, did you go through that train of thought and conclude that 5th generation Pokemon will be on the DS? Is it because of the increasing number of games?

Here's a hint for you, every new generation so far has gone on a new console.

Besides it was more like:

Gameboy: Red, Green, Blue (and retouched Red version), Yellow
Gameboy Coulour: Gold, Silver, Crystal
Gameboy Advance: Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, Fire red, Leaf Green
Nintendo DS: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum

A Generation V Pokemon could appear in the next movie after this one, but as a minor role like always, nothing big like Arceus would take.

Which even then, the validity of what the ex-director said is debatable, considering how he didn't seem to know that Pokemon Platinum isn't JUST in development, OR that it even exists, but it's nearing it's time to be sold in stores. I mean, even FOR an Ex-director whose influence on the show is waning, he would have still known about Platinum (it's been covered heavily on tv commercials and Magazines, for goodness sakes.).

We might see a Gen V pokemon in the next movie, we might not see it. They may release info about any 5th Gen pokemon prior to the release of movie 12, they may not, all we can do is just wait and see.

Also, if this movie involves another main villain in Movie 12 who ends up being obsessed with capturing the main legendary (either Arceus or some other main pokemon), and he temporarily succeeds in capturing (maybe even nearly killing said legendary by doing something to its power for his/her own purposes), then I will... well, lets just wait.
