Glitches are anomalies in software programs. They can cause various problems ranging from the purely graphical and audio glitching to completely corrupting or deleting the save file.
Glitches can be triggered from problems within a game's code, or players doing things the programmers didn't anticipate, therefore causing the game to react unexpectedly.

Glitches in Pokemon games have been there from the start(I bet you didn't know that)

Gen 1 had the most glitches with hundreds of them and some having alternate ways to exploit them as well
Gen 6 is different though, with only a countable few

Now share here which was the first glitch you ever exploited...
Be it Missingno. Or the Rare Candy Glitch Or the Mew Glitch.
Be it a main-series game or a spin-off

The first one i ever exploited was.... good old Missingno.(Bet you didn't see that one coming)

Missingno. for me as well, and the only one to this day I've ever touched. Ugh, was that ever a mistake. One of the glitches that resulted from capturing it made one of my Pokemon forget a move.

Unfortunately, it was my Ditto.
 
The good ol' Missingno. glitch in my Pokémon Red. To this day whenever I play Red I always make sure not to put a key item in the 6th slot for fear that I'll accidentally duplicate it!

I also remember when I first heard about that glitch, but because of the context of the conversation I heard it in I thought it was in a Gen II game. So I tried it in Pokémon Crystal for about an hour. Let's just say... it didn't work. XD
 
On my early game *red I guess* I experience miss the first gym and just go to second gym to fight misty. It took me years to aware that was glitch *I was 10 and not even aware what is glitch that time*.

Not lucky enough to encouter Missingno. But once get Pkrs and panically though that my Pokemon would die.... AND RESET MY GAME.. T.T I WAS STUPID.. *I once also though that Pkrs was bug/glitch, but seems not*
 
Of course it was classic MisingNo. glitch in good ol' Red. I think I encountered it by chance since I often talk to people multiple times, who knows, they might have new information for me. That's about it though I never really tried glitches.
 
Honestly, I didn't even hear about Missing No tilll 06 07.

I used the Mew Glitch, but not just for Mew. I think I got a Lickitung and Tauros with it too.
 
My first exploit was the one where if you give Pikachu a bunch of Potions in Yellow, it's friendship will go up, even when at full health. I spammed Potions for like an hour xD.
 
Right side of Cinnibar. Not for Missingno., though.

After I found out about that glitch, I went to Safari Zone and then flew away early because I couldn't get Chansey or Tauros any other way.
 
The only glitch I've deliberately exploited was Missingno.'s Item Duplication glitch. Didn't use it on the Master Ball though -- used it primarily on TMs.
 
A couple of years ago I was playing Pokemon Red and felt like using Mew in the game so that would be the first glitch I've ever exploited. Probably the only one excluding all of the crappy Action Replay ones in Pearl.
 
The only Pokemon glitch I've used multiple times is the Mew glitch in my gen 1 games. I don't always use the Mew, but I always make sure to go get it.
 
My first glitch was the Battle Tower cloning in Emerald. I made so many rare legends to trade away it was glorious!
 
I exploited the Glitch City glitch in Red first, though I also did the Old Man glitch to see Missingno.
 
It's the missingno and how it causes your item in the certain slot to turn x99. I don't remember how I got the information about missingno exactly. I do remember my friend telling me about it. It was 1999 and the internet back then is not as comprehensive and complex as what we have now. One theory is we read it somewhere in the Nintendo Power magazine.
 
Exploited? Well if you put it that way, the Pokemon cloning in Gen 2. I was never that interested in the glitches of Gen 1 and have done them a couple of times

That would be my first as well. My hubby did the Missingno glitch while I was half asleep. That cry... every wondered what the soundtrack to the end of the world would be? I'd say it would be the yelping of a Missingno. I let loose a pretty good yell when I heard that.
 
The item duplication glitch, so I could duplicate Rare Candies and Master Balls. I heard about the way to get Mew, but I never attempted it.
