What do you think is the funniest episode? I haven't watched pokemon for a long time I started again this year and I've mostly watched AG ones. I have watched some Kanto Region and Johto ones but not a lot but I would say the funniest episode is back in Kanto with the episode "The Squirtle Squad". I love the part when the squirtles play a trap on Ash and co
 
I don't think there was a ever a funniest persay, but my personal moments are:

When Jigglypuff (The Big One from PokeMopolis) held up his paint brush and went PUFFFF!

When Ditto licked Jessie

The whole Ash / Pikachu duo in the first episode when Ash would screw up.

"I said pading...No! I said pacing!"

I LOVE THAT EPISODE THE JIGGLYPUFF ONE I FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT!!! That would be my firswt and squirtle squad be my second.

BTW what Generation was Dues and Don'ts and what episode number was it?
 
The various quotes heard that could be easily taken as something else. X3 Notable examples include (much thanks to Pokemopolis for the quotes):

"Ash, shouldn't we put some clothes on first?" (Brock, and my personal favorite of them all)

"MAXIMUM HARDNESS, METAPOD!" (Ash)
"HARDER! YOU'RE THE STRONGER METAPOD!" (That Samurai Kid who had a Metapod)

"She's using... what is it... Oh YEAH! She's using perverse psychology on me!" (Ash)

"I save all my love for Jimmy-Wimmy..." (Meowth, while on top of James)

"I AM THE FLAME THAT BURNS BRIGHTEST! I AM A FLAMING MOLTRES!" (James)
 
"Claydol, Big and Tall" ftw.

Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing watching that episode. It stands as the best filler in Pokemonhistory.
 
I would say that the funniest episode is "The Heartbreak of Brock". XD I don't remember the quote exactly, but...

James: I'm a member of Team Rocket! It's an international organization dedicated to evil!
Girl: Well, every husband should have a hobby!

That episode is from the Master Quest season (which would be season 5).

"A Hole Lotta Trouble"

"The Totodile Duel"

"The Fortune Hunters"

"A Better Pill To Swallow"

"An Egg-Citing Adventure"

"Hocus Pokemon" (I love this episode so much - it's one of my personal favorites - it's funny and it has everything)

"Whiscash and Ash"

"The Bicker The Better"

"A Double Dilemma"

"Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snorunt"

"Claydol, Big and Tall"



And those are just a few episodes that I thought were funny. There are like, so many funny Pokemon episodes. I could never list them all. XD

finally! a topic which will REALLY erupt.

U named some very good ones. Double Dilemma was funny and so was The Bicker the Better

"My Strategy is...RUN AWAY!"

and than that comical music plays in the background with the dragon Pokemon chasing them.

Also the scene in "Charmander The Stray Pokemon"

When Team Rocket has the machine that has some new way to capture Pokemon and it just drills a hole...then the music when they hide behind the bushes was just ace.

Well...

the Shuckle episode....simply for tentacoo wape, drug trading, bestility, and homosexual behavior.

The episodes with Grace were hilarious, especially when she made that funny face...... XD


And by the way, that Ash line you mentioned was correct, except for the "This" part of it. Replace it with the word "That" and it will be perfect. ^^o


Hehe, I love trying to memorize all of Ash's lines. XD

Oh yes. I'll get right on it.
 
"The Problem with Paras", "The Fortune Hunters" and "Claydol, Big and Tall" are legends that redefined funny.
 
Remember this:

Max- Wow! It's really you!
Ash- That's right.. but how do you know me?
Max- You were in the Silver Conference!
Ash- Uh huh!
Max- YOU LOST IN THE SECOND ROUND!!!

and so on. I loved that part.
 
- Dues and Don'ts: Best. Episode. EVER. When Giovanni has the funniest line in the episode, you know it's true comic gold. Not to mention all the unintentional (?) Republican propaganda. ("Team Rocket wins one for the Gipper at the speed of light!", "If that's the democratic way, I'm votin' Republican.") And the fight scene. Everything is just pure hilarity. And that's the way I like it.

- The Claydol ep. James and Ash dressed as eggplants, Meowth and Wobby in drag... fantastic.

- The Bicker the Better. Just plain silly.

- The one with Kangaskhan, and the egg... I forget which it was, but it was Master Quest, and it was fantastic, what with clueless Jenny, Ash's dream, Brock getting arrested. Yeah. Truly wonderful.

- Battle for the Badge. Others might wonder why I rank this high on the list of comedic episodes, so I'll paraphrase one scene for you:

Gio (upon seeing Togepi): Exactly what does it do?

(James, Jessie, Meowth stare at each other)

Jessie: Um...

James: ...it makes a lovely paperweight!

Never fails to make me laugh, for some reason. Also, Togepi messing around with the remote and shocking the crap out of TR is disturbingly funny.
