So, I worked with @Sky Flame Haze on resurrecting an old RP of his that I particularly enjoyed:

The Fuse King

Introduction:
The future of battling is here--Fusion Battles! A new wave of technology has swept through the Pokemon world, in the form of Fusewatches: simple but incredibly powerful wrist-mounted pieces of technology. With the press of a button, your Pokemon is instantly converted into a suit of armor around you, granting increased speed, strength, and durability, along with all the battling capabilities of your Pokemon.

Within half a decade of the introduction of Fusewatches, academies to facilitate training in this new style of battling had been built all over the world, as well as tournaments catering exclusively to Fusion Battles. Now, this is your chance at glory--the chance to become the Fuse King!

Plot:
In every region around the world, an academy has been established for new Fusion Battle trainers. And at the Castelia Academy for Fusion Battles, funded by the inventor of the Fusewatch himself, Professor Jan Brills, Class 3A has proven itself to be the best of the school’s best. With that, the students of Class 3A have been submitted as the school’s delegation to the qualifying round of the first Fusion Battle World Championship. Soon, the first battles of the qualifying round will be held here in Castelia City. And six months later, the first round of the World Championship itself will be held in the grand arenas of Nimbasa City to the north.

But the Castelia Academy is hardly the only Fusion Battling school; its counterparts--the Celadon School in Kanto, the Blackthorn Foundation in Johto, the Slateport Initiative in Hoenn, and the Snowpoint Institute in Sinnoh--will also be sending students to compete. And of course, private trainers from every region will be seeking to compete.

Yet, there are always those who seek to abuse the power of Pokemon, in whatever form they can get their hands on. Already, there are rumors of those who use the power of Fusion for crime and villainy. And while you compete for the title of Fuse King in the World Championship, what could they be planning?

Rules:
  • Follow all BMGf rules. This includes the obvious ones: be respectful, no spamming, etc.
  • Be descriptive. Short posts make for a boring RP. Aim for at least three sentences, maybe even a paragraph.
  • No god-modding. Defeating everything effortlessly and solving every problem instantly makes for a very boring RP. A good loss can develop your character more than an easy victory.
  • Don’t control other players’ characters. This is simply proper procedure in any RP.
  • Listen to the GMs. Sky Flame Haze and I are here to keep gameplay going and ensure things don’t go out of control.

Sign-Up Form:

Age: 13-18. This is an academy, after all.

Appearance: Detailed, but not overly so. Don't go too crazy.
Personality: Detail is a must. Please, if you think it's necessary, go into as much detail as you need.

All right I guess to start things up and to allow you guys to sign up I'll have to write this. Here I will write the basic rules to Fusewatches and Fuse Battling, remember to follow these rules to a T.

Fusewatches:
Fusewatches come in different models that you will all get to name once the RP starts. Each Fusewatch has the same capability; though there are some that have multiple abilities to each other. A Fusewatch can act as a communicator and of course a normal watch. To activate the Fusion ability of a watch a Trainer needs to be synchronized with its Pokemon and needs to be in a good mental and physical state. In other words if a Trainer is having mental or physical problems the fusion will either break or it will thrown both the Trainer and Pokemon into a comatose stage.

When fusing a Pokemon turns into a suit of armor that the Trainer wears. During a battle the armor will defend the trainer and as the trainer takes damage parts of the armor will vanish causing the Trainer to slowly go back to normal. To signal this the Fusewatch has an HP bar that will go down when the trainer receives Damage and every time it goes down by 5 points a part of the armor will shatter.

Fusewatches can be upgraded with the ability to switch between Pokemon (though it's obvious that the characters won't be able to do this for a while) but there are also more upgrades. Some transformations come with special weapons that a Trainer can use during fusion as well.

During the event that a Pokemon were to evolve while being fused the fusion will turn into a Zero Control Fusion. During this time the Pokemon's side will take full control of the Trainer's mind and body and only after the fusion disappears it will go back to normal.

That's another thing each Fusion has a definite time depending on how much strength, speed, agility, defense or endurance a trainer uses once all of this hit zero the fusion will vanish.

Another aspect of fusion also exist (though this will be explored later in the RP) called Negative Fusion and Full Synchro which occurs when a Trainer either has different ideals and mentality than its Pokemon causing the fusion to lose control and turn into a dark version of itself and when a Trainer and Pokemon's mentality and ideals combine respectively.
Fuse Battling:

Fuse Battling in itself isn't that different to normal battling. During a fuse battle a trainer is not allowed to kill its opponent and the sole purpose of it is to cause the armor to vanish; normal injuring is allowed though as Trainers and Pokemon will be healed after a battle. When a Trainer's armor disappears or the armor is completely shattered the battle will end; either then or when a Trainer gives up.

Fuse Battlers will advance in rank after a certain number of wins the rankings in itself are Rookie, Tamer, Knight, Lord and King the last one which can only be achieved when someone no matter what rank they had previously becomes King.

In the event that Fuse Battler is killed the one that did the deed will be detained and arrested as well as being stripped of their rights a Fuse Battler and Trainer.

During normal battle Fusion Battlers aren't allowed to switch Pokemon, this is only allowed for Knight ranked battlers or those that are participating in the World Championship.

Name: Edgar Night
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance: Edgar is pretty average as far as height goes, at 5'11, and weighs 160 pounds. While he's fairly thin, he is somewhat muscular as well. He usually wears a pleather jacket (He doesn't think it's nice to kill animals for clothes) and an anime T-shirt underneath, in addition to stressed denim jeans and combat boots. He has a long mane of black hair on his head, and his nose is slightly off-sides from when it was broken in a fight.

Personality: Edgar grew up in a rough neighborhood, and learned that to not get mugged, you need to be tough. His parents worked long hours, so he essentially grew up with little to no parental supervision. Thus, while independent, he dislikes authority. However, he actually has a very prominent feminine side. He loves soap operas and romantic comedies, and is a member of knitting club. He is also a major otaku, with a truly stunning collection of Sailor Moon merchandise, which he worked many hours at part time jobs to get. He's even the president of the anime club.

Background: Edgar, as noted above, grew up in a neighborhood with high crime. As such, he learned the importance of not making himself a target pretty early. His parents quit high school to take care of him, and as such, he feels like he needs to pay them back for all they did for him. As such, ever since he was old enough to lie about his age and work, he's been working hard to get them money and help support his family.
When he learned about fuse battling, he realized that it could be his chance. He already did a little battling in his spare time to earn money, and when he saw an old Generifuse at a garage sale for dirt cheap, he realized that it was his future.

Pokemon: Aron, Murkrow, Shuppet, Scraggy
Fusewatch: Generifuse Mk I: A generic model of watch. It's only distinguishing feature is that it wass one of the first models made, and thus has no special features aside from being very cheap.

Well considering that Renewal and I are Co-GMing I think I can accept people your sign up seems to follow all of the requirements.

Also this is something that we forgot to add in the sign up but for future sign ups you should give a small description of what Fusewatch model your character uses you can make it up as well as it special features.

So. Um. It's...high time I came back here, I think. I'm making a real, honest-to-god effort this time. Hope I haven't lost my touch...

Damn, it's late. I'll...write up a signup tomorrow, 'kay?

Name: Amelia "Amy" Sanchez
Age: 18 (Jeez this feels young, and I feel entirely too old for thinking that.)
Gender: Female

Appearance: She's very small and wiry, but very quick. She usually wears jeans, tennis shoes, and a purple blouse. She has short black hair, which she keeps in check with a headband.

Personality: Cheerful and bubbly, Amy is quick to make friends and always ready to help people out. She's a little naive at times, but she's more perceptive than she looks. She tries to have fun when she participates in fuze battles, and sees it all as a big game. She's lost more than a couple matches because she makes a great effort not to seriously hurt her opponents, but she doesn't mind. When she gets excited, she talks very fast.

Background: Amy grew up in Striation City in a huge, fairly well-off family. She has many brothers and sisters, both older and younger, but she was the only girl so far in her family to get into fuze battling. All of her older brothers had attended the fuze academy, but the last one graduated a few years ago.

Pokemon: Sneasel, Eevee, Pawniard, Dratini
Fusewatch: Twilight Spark. A more "girly" model, colored purple, blue, and dark pink.

This seems cool so I'll sign up

Name:Jett Hurland
Age: 13-18. 16
Gender:Male

Appearance: Somewhat tall, in ok physical shape, has blue eyes and brown hair.typically wears a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a red jacket with red tennis shoes. Also occasionally wears and uses an Aura Reader.

Personality:Somewhat friendly and accepting to others when not in battle, Jett is only occasionally the cause of any trouble. He does, however, at times have a short-fused tempter, and he also is practically a completely different person when in a battle. In a battle, he is more calm, and more calculative than he typically is.

Background:Jett was born and raised in Castelia City in the Unova Region. Born to a somewhat-wealthy family, he had no desire to do a Gym Challenge due to the probability that he would lose interest before finishing his journey. He did enjoy battling, and he frequently did so with local battlers. When he learned about Fuse Battling, however, he quickly developed an affinity for it and quickly joined it as soon as he could. Before he did so, however, he needed a team.

His own Starter pokemon, recieved at the age of eight as a birthday present, was an Oshawott, named Knight due to his own enjoyment of using the move Shell Blade.Partially becoming a Trainer in order to travel to other regions and catch other non unovian pokemon, Jett traveled to the Kanto and Johto regions, catching pokemon selectively for how they would aid in Fuse Battling. However, the four he chose to take to the academy were his four favorites.

Pokemon: Oshawott (Knight), Yanma (Echo), Cubone (Terra), Zubat (Sonar)

Fusewatch:Reader Lens;A black and clearish Fusewatch made to allow the wearer to use an Aura Reader while fused.

(Just out of curiosity, would you be fusing with only one pokemon at a time, all of them at once, or a midpoint between the two )

Ok now I understand. Come to think of it, it probably would be too good if Jett used all four of his pokemon in one fusion. Yanma would provide incredible speed and some sound-based attacks, Cubone would provide use of bone Weaponry, Oshawott would provide use of a blade in a way similiar to Shell Blade along with some water-based attacks, and Zubat would provide sound-based moves, weak flight, some poison based attacks, and sonar-like ability to constantly locate foes.See my point?

Cool story bro.

It's physically impossible with normal Fusewatches. They're only meant to take one Pokemon at a time.

I know, I know, I was just kidding. What would be the effects of a Porygon or other technology-manipulating pokemon possessing a fuse watch?
