N (New Game), C (Continue), or Q (Quit)? N

You wake up to feel the sun shining on your face. You yawn. That is when you realize that you are not lying on your bed at home. You are lying in a grassy meadow. There is a cool breeze blowing through the trees, and you can hear the chirp of birds around you. There are a few bushes nearby that are flowering.

>Who am I?

You rack your brain… but you cannot seem to figure out who you are. You have no memory of what happened before you woke up.

>Am I a girl or a boy?

You are a boy.

>Inventory

You are carrying:
1 x black t-shirt (worn)
1 x red and white baseball cap (worn)
1 x pair of blue jeans (worn)
1 x green backpack (worn)

>Check backpack

Inside the backpack, you find a can of instant spaghetti-Os and a red-and-white ball that might open if you press the button in the center.
[You have obtained a Poke Ball!]

>Press button

A flash of red light comes from the ball. It forms into the shape of a yellow, fuzzy creature that looks rather like a large yellow rat. The rat has red cheek pouches and a tail shaped like a lightning bolt

>Attack rat

The rat is not threatening you, and you have no weapons.

>Look around

You see a berry bush covered with bright blue berries. Lying nearby are a few broken branches. There is also a large rock covered with patches of green moss.

>Pick up rock

You walk to the rock and strain to lift it, but it is too heavy for you to budge. The rat follows you and nuzzles your leg.

>Scream

The rat does not seem to like your screaming. Lighting sparks around it and hits you. You fall over onto the grass twitching in pain.
[You have lost 5% HP! Remaining HP = 95%]

>Go north

You head deeper into the forest. The sun begins to go down. You see no further sign of human civilization. The rat follows you the entire time. It keeps trying to talk to you. “Pika-Pikachu?”

>Put Pikachu Away

To do that, you have to return it to its Poke Ball.

>Return Pikachu

You hold out the red-and-white Poke Ball and say in a loud, clear voice. “Pikachu, Return.”

Pikachu returns to the Poke Ball.

>Check status

You are at 95% HP.
You are a little hungry.
You have obtained 0 points.

>Save Game

Game Saved.

>Quit

End Fic

Anyways, this is my first attempt at second-person Point of View writing, and the premise is based on those really old dungeon crawler games that are mostly text-based that my Dad likes to play… anyways!
Assumes, of course, that the player is Ash or someone similar…

True, I don't think this format is for me. Moreover, I'm not really keen on actually writing a fic like this. Experiments! ^^
