As active as PASBL seems to be now, I still miss the days when sig moves were less limited. I don't mind the point system so much, but that's kind of annoying too.

Maybe no one will listen to me, because I'm not sure who remains from those days, but I miss the crazy sig moves, and the type changes and everything. It gave the whole thing personality and let people use their imaginations more. Same thing with Fizzy Bubbles- that seemes a lot more laid back and fun, too.

I guess I'm just an old bag when it comes to this forum, but what do you others think? Especially any vets that might still be here.

Well, I figure I would be the best to answer that one, seeing as I was the one who created both the original and new sig rules in the first place....

We simply had far too much abuse of the rules, and we weren't sure how to prevent that. We've never been against creativity, but creativity ended up becoming an excuse for outlandish, unrealistic, and overpowered sigs (flying onix's, anyone?), so we had to act on it.

As for points...same deal. The abuse of 1-on-1 matches to rise quickly through the league table was rampant, as were increasing instances of trainers who were highly ranked only through winning huge numbers of matches by DQ (Including IIRC, in one instance, someone winning a 6-on-6 after only the 1st Pokémon). The system needed an overhaul.

Actually, in thinking about the point system, I realized that it was the old system that I hated. The one you have now is good.

And this all just goes to show how a few selfish people can ruin the fun for everyone. At least the sig moves make sense now. I wouldn't exactly mind having some type changes back, though. Maybe we could make a type change, but not type adding? That might work; not sure how, though.

But yeah, I'm actually thinking that PASBL will be more fun now. Too bad I deleted the arena I was making that was freaking awesome. Oh well.

I honestly have to think about type changes and additions again now. The new TCG expansion has actually given an in universe explanation for a lot of weird typed Pokémon, so it's a lot more plausible than it used to be.

I think if only 1 type, additions, if 2 types, change the secondary type, might be a decent rule to go by, but as for the changes themselves...case by case basis.
