"And perfect!" the man yelled, holding up a stack of players. "Handwritten letters all saying the same thing with the only difference is their names. Brilliant right!?" he yelled asking his gardevoir. The pokemon simply face-palmed, and using her psychic powers checked the letters for legibility. They were illegible. She then took new pieces of paper and wrote nine identical letters, in legible handwriting, she then put each in envelopes with nine different addresses one them. "Luna you're so cruel," the man whined. The gardevoir, now known as Luna rolled her eyes, placing the envelopes in his hands, and the scrap letters in the trash. The two then left the restaurant and mailed the letters. "Soon everything will fall into place," the man said as they walked away.
[SUB]Dear [Insert your OC's name here]
You are a young individual that wishes to be a trainer. However for one reason or another you are unable to achieve this. It could be because of financial issues, unable to pass the test, or maybe just that your parents will not let you. Whatever the reason, fear no more. I am offering you the chance. No need to pay the fees, or take the test, or get the approval of a professor. I only ask that you take care of the pokemon that I shall be giving you, and that they never leave your sides. These pokemon are very special, and if you accept, your journey will not be as simple, and the dangers will be more, however if you choose to accept. If you accept then meet me on route 150, October 15, outside of Central City along with up to eight others that have also received this letter.
Sincerely,
A friend.[/SUB]Nano walked along cheerfully. Finally after years she would be a trainer. And perfect timing too. Her father was away and unreachable, and her mother, well she wouldn't wake up any time soon due to some sleep powder in her tea. Sure it was wrong of her to drug her mother, but meh, she had to escape and put distance so the woman couldn't catch her. Her mother wasn't a tracker like her father. She never even understood why they wouldn't let her be a trainer. They let her brother. Maybe it was because her brother got all the good traits, and she got the, well not good traits. That must be the reason. Favortism...or maybe her leg, but well there had to be more than her leg for them to keep her home.
Her combat boot clothed feet stopped as she pulled her black two strap bag up more onto her shoulders. Her outfit for the day in addition to the bag and boots was blue jeans tucked into her boots, a long sleeved white shirt and a knee length black hooded coat.
In front of her stood a man with short messy brown hair, chocolate eyes, tan skin, and a slim build. He was average height and looked to be early thirties. He wore brown work boots, jeans, and a black long sleeved with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Strange in Nano's mind considering it was fall, then again the wind chill was lower for the day. To tack on the strangeness was the fact that a large brown sack, bulging with objects inside, and a pure white gardevoir with purple eyes stood beside him.
Meanwhile not far behind Nano, Frey walked wearing knee high black boots, with black pants tucked into them. He had a long yellow coat with hood zipped up, the only indication showing his pants was the fact that the zipper only went to the waist. He carried a one strap brown bag, and his hair was in a braid reaching to his waist. He like Nano was lucky in that his mother was away and his father...well he wouldn't talk about that. To add on he felt rather well, enjoying the fact that what his parents had kept him from, was now coming true and he wold likewise prove them wrong. As he arrived he immediately thought of how the letter said up to eight others. Like Nano he simply waited, not saying a word. He would let the man speak first.
Why neither one considered that the man might be a stranger danger is beyond human comprehension.
