The skies were blue, the oceans clear, and the grass green. It was a typical peaceful day in the world, unless you were from a clan that often used violence outside of hunting. For Lucius, it was another day to spend in nature. His partner Camarad was beside him as usual. The roserade was calm and collect, just like the boy himself. It was truly a wonderful day for the two. However, Lucius could not shake the feeling that something was off. And then a crash was heard. Loud for miles around. Immediately the sage haired boy ran to the source, arriving to see a village destroyed. Word quickly spread across the land and more incidents happened. A man had control of Arceus and was aiming to take over the world. A small green pokemon watched in horror as the world could not fight against the man. Using her powers, the pokemon sent a message to children, each in a unique way, unique to them, though without revealing herself. In each message she told them that they must find the other guardians, and must bond with those strong enough to fight Arceus.

Tîa perched on the wall, looking down at all the rich men below.
There.
A particularly cruel - looking man was swaggering along the street, paying absolubtely no attention to his belongings. Tîa and her partner, an Espeon, launched themselves off the wall and into the crowds. As they shadowed their target, Tîa payed attention to the voices of all the people around her.
"I hear that a man bonded with Arceus!"
"I was told he wants to take over the world!"
"Well, someone told me that mew was in danger!"
Tîa froze. Mew was in danger? The tiny, catlike pokémon would be helpless against a creature like arceus. She had to help it!

Azure, on the other hand, did not run to the commotion. Instead, she was startled by the sudden message. Kyogre, while it was seemingly god of the seas, would stand no chance alone against Arceus. Diving into the ocean, the teen swam quickly to the deep cavern rumored to contain the legendary beast. Flux swam beside her, although not as quickly, for he had only recently learned to swim.

When the news of the captured Arceus spread to the Rock Peak Desert (route 228), the whole place entered a maddening state of unrest. Some fled. Some hid. Some begged.
One fought back.

"Okay, all I have is a giant hornet and about 300,000 dollars worth of stuff. That's not good odds against a god, but I think I can manage. Now, first we need to start packing and hiding everything in my hoard, I don't want to lose any of it."
Jeffrey went into his horde and started packing things. While he was packing he came across something shiny that caught his interest. "That's odd, I don't remember taking this." He picked up the shiny thing. It was a short chain that seemed to be made out of rubies. Curious, he tried it on.

"To heck with my stuff," he suddenly exclaimed. "Vespiquen, to the lake of Valor." Vespiquen grabbed Jeffrey by the shoulders and started flying.

The first rays of sun appeared behind him, making the dew on the grass shimmer. Ragnar took a deep breath. This was his favorite time, when a new day broke over the land. Far to his left, a small lake was awash in silver. The wet grass tickled his feet as he walked around in the glade, surrounded by wildflowers and tall grass. A group of Shieldon grazed near the rocks above him and in the distance, the high peaks of the mountains rose into the pink morning sky. It seemed to Ragnar like a scene from a fairy tale.

As he strode with harp in hand, Ragnar heard a sound and looked up. A lovely woman's voice, singing a strangely beautiful song. It was faint and distant, and Ragnar thought he must have imagined it, but it began again, high, soft, filled with mystery.
Almost unconsciously Ragnar sped towards the music across the glade.
Ancient, it was, ancient and perfect, serene, yet somehow hopeless. It came from the lake.
He walked faster, half expecting whoever it was to vanish before he arrived, but the song grew louder as he drew near to the lake.

Ragnar stopped before the lake, and his eyes went wide.

Standing hip deep in the lake, was the most beautiful woman Ragnar had ever seen. She certainly is a maiden of rarest beauty. She stood with her back towards the youth, her blue, wavy hair covering her supposedly exposed back. She stopped singing and glanced over her shoulder at Ragnar, her blue eyes gleaming like sapphires.

She said three words. Three simple words that changed Ragnar's world forever; Ragnar, my chosen

A second later, the woman seemed to vanish into thin air.

In Semaj's island where he spent all his life, the ancient mystics where whispering in their hut in a hill faraway from the village.
Semaj's father Kemir told him some words but Semaj only remembered that ''to know what these old fools knew'' he ventured there with his trusted beast, a Feraligatr he has since it was a Totodile however the hasn't bonded with Semaj since Kemir (Semaj's father) is the one who has used him in combat. Nevertheless Semaj came to the small hut where these supposed ''mystics'' where hiding their dark secrets. He sneaked around them with his bow and Feraligatr not following him since it could blow their cover. He heard them chatter:
''When should we tell Kemir'' one of the mystics said, ''Never he shouldn't know of the plight that the world might face'' the youngest one in the group said.
Semaj said ''What is this nonsense of a so called plight that the world is facing'', ''Oh my child, so ignorant of how the world works'' an old man came out of nowhere, wearing red robes. The old man looked physically repulsive, having a long white beard and an extremely wrinkled face. Semaj asked the old man in curiosity ''How have you survived so long?'' the old man replied to him ''by surviving of course''.
''Surviving what?'' Semaj asked, ''Well let me tell you something, this world is much bigger than it looks like, it isn't just this island'' the old man said. Semaj questioned him ''How do you this? This place is the entirety of the world''.
''I have travelled across this world through many places, seen many things, many of them horrible'' the mysterious old man told Semaj, ''I haven't asked you your name, who exactly are you?''. ''I am Groc, a warrior from a faraway land, been hiding in here for more than forty years.'' ''So what is this so called plight the world is facing?'' Semaj asked, ''Well we have received word the Ancient Blue One that a madman from some place is trying to take control of Arceus, the creator of this world, if he even tries to do such a thing it might mean the end of the world as you know it'' Groc told him. ''But what should I do?'' Semaj asked Groc. ''Well you must find the Ancient Blue One it will join you on your quest to stop this fiend's plan to this madness.
Semaj sets forth to an island filled with ice to find the Ancient Blue One.

((Okay guys a big reminder: They should not be going for the legendaries right now, at least not in the sense of what some characters are doing. Our people are supposed to work together to find their legendaries. Also you really shouldn't know where they are so easily, otherwise they wouldn't be legendary: And don't forget this is before things like Lake Valor.))

"The trees are acting strange," Lucius said to Camarad. "That man is upsetting the balance." He walked along the unworn paths of the forest, stopping only when he heard an unfamiliar sound. A breathing, new, unknown, similar to some, yet different. Then he heard hooves. Immediately he rushed to them, believing it to be a species he had not seen in the forest. However it just turned out to be a sawsbuck. He frowned, but stopped, the sawsbuck catching his eye. He recognized the sound to a point because it was how a sawsbuck sounded, in spring. It was summer. "Spring? But it's already deep summer...I could have...this must mean something, but what." He looked up, hearing wings and the sound of another pokemon, familiar and unfamiliar. Immediately he climbed a tree to see better. Braviary high above him. "How strange. The ones here live in the mountains...why...this must be a message. Braviary are protective of comrades. Camarad, come. I have a feeling that we must find some comrades of our own. It would seem some of us are chosen. The question is who." With that, Lucius began his search for the other chosen ones.

After several hours, Vespiquen started moving around in circles. "Oh great, you're lost. Well, clearly we have to go," he looked at a map, then looked down at the city below..."Uh, I don't recognize this place." He glanced closer. "Huh, this map doesn't seem to mention a lake of valor either. Wonder why I felt so strongly about going there." The red jewelry around his neck hummed. "Never mind, continue flying."

A few minutes later, Vespiquen set him down, and started emitting a loud drone.
"We're not giving up. Now if you want to take a break, but we're going to go see the lake.set me down and take a nap in a tree somewhere. I'm going to go see if the locals have anything to eat. Starting with that one, the one who was perched on the wall"

Tired out from the swimming, Azure sighed and gave up the search of the mythical cave for the moment. Resting upon a small circle of land, she called Flux over next to her so that the two could rest, if not for a little while. "Why was I drawn to this place, anyway?" she sighed again, patting the Electric-type Pokemon beside her. Laying on the sand, she just closed her eyes for the moment.

Tîa slowed down as she reached the black market entrance she usually used.
"Password, darling?" A dirty-looking man with greasy hair and an even greasier smile slouched in the doorway. Amethyst and Tîa both growled in warning.
"Look, girlie, I can't let in any old kiddie down here, can I? Run along home to your mummy, now."
Tîa gave the lout a furious glare and kicked him viciously between the legs. As he buckled over in pain, she strode past with an air of calm authority.
Turning back to look at him, she allowed herself a smile.
"Drop the blue spoon at dawn."

Most of the thieves gave Tîa a wide berth as she strode through the compound. One, however, did not.
"Where are you off to this late, señorita?" asked Diego Castille, the official head of the thieves' guild.
"Nowhere, señor," she replied curtly, reaching her room and opening the door.
Diego merely nodded and handed her a small parcel. "Well, if you need my help..." Diego gave her a charming smile and walked off.
Tîa gathered amethyst into her arms and cuddled her close.
"Well, my friend, we should be off."
She packed her few things in a small shoulder bag and left the underworld, heading for the city gates.

"Another successful heist! I love my life." Cassandra laughed as she snuck out of a forest village undetected with a full sack of provisions. "Pandora should be back any second now..." She stopped at the treeline of the mountain where she lived, waiting. A minute later, an Absol rushed out of the village and caught up with her. "Good job, Pandora! Let's head home." Cassandra cheered. Pandora nodded, then paused and growled at nothing. "Pandora?" Cassandra asked. "What's wrong?" The Absol suddenly started running, and Cassandra followed her, hoping she knew where she was going. Considering that Absols were known for foretelling disasters, Cassandra decided to trust her.

The ground was rumbling violently near the desert. Astraea's Mawile pointed to a fiery mountain that was far, far away. "Tarik, is it erupting?" His sister questioned, unsure. Sitting atop his Golurk's shoulder, Tarik saw pink-like meteors flying down from above the volcano, with smoke where they landed. The sandstorm wasn't present today, so he had a clear view of strange orbs falling out of the clouds and then exploding. "No, Astraea, that's..." Tarik paused, unsure what was really going on. Sentinel, his Golurk, kneeled in the sand, and slowly started drawing a system of dots. "I know that! It's the same language found in the Place of Rock!" Astraea gasped, somewhat excited. "Father taught me how to read it..." She mumbled, drifting over the indents in the sand with her eyes. Tarik, now standing next to Sentinel, nervously watched the meteors falling. His sister slowly pronounced each letter, and then her eyes widened.

"A-R-C-E-U-S."

Tarik paused, a shiver going down his spine. All those villages near the base of the volcano... "Go tell the group." He whispered coldly. Astraea glanced at him for a second, then spoke. "Tarik, are we going to move again?" He smiled slowly for a second. Nomads, claiming strength and unity with the earth... Yet they always fled their problems.

"Maybe, Astraea. Maybe."

"Boy oh boy... I don't remember drinking any mead last night." Ragnar scratched his head. He fixed the position of his hat and turned his back, making his way to the south, where he would find a town to resupply for his travels. "I must be imagining things."

As he walked to the south, Ragnar heard a hissing sound from behind. The youth smiled and said. "You can come out now, Dusk. I know you're there."

Emerging from behind the bushes was a big Arbok, his fangs gripping a dead Rattata by its neck. His purple scales is very much in contrast with the green around him, and of course, people and smaller Pokémon flee just at the sight of the pattern on his hood below his head, but not Ragnar. Dusk is the best companion and guardian Ragnar could ever ask for.

"Took you long enough." The flaxen haired youth said, but the Arbok paid no mind to his friend. Dusk opened his mouth wide and swallowed the Rattata as Ragnar shook his head and put away his harp.

Amethyst flicked her double tails anxiously, but continued to lead the way. Tîa smiled to herself. Amethyst always knew the best way to go, and the best way to cheer her up. Tîa felt at home in forests. Suddenly, amethyst stopped.
"What's wrong, Amy?"
But the psychic Pokemon wasn't growling. She was... Purring?
A young man emerged from the trees accompanied by a roserade. Amethyst continued to purr and rubbed herself against the young man's legs. Trying her best to look sweet and innocent (like most girls her age), Tîa smiled warily.
"H-hello?"

Lucius chuckled as he felt the eeveelution rub against his leg. He reached down, petting her gently. "Hello is this espeon your friend? She is quite lovely," he said, giving a kind smile.

His roserade merely watched curiously for a moment at the interaction before moving closer to the girl. He looked up at her blinking and studying her.

"You're lucky. He's usually weary of strangers," Lucius told her. "He never gets that close at first meeting. My name is Lucius, and that is Camarad," he nodded towards the poison/grass type.

The sound of people talking woke Rose from her peaceful nap in the woods. She turned and saw Kirlia already awake and staring in the direction of the voices. Rose, curious as always pulled her green hood over her head and crept over as quiet as possible, with Kirlia following close behind.

She finally got in view of the people, and saw a man and a women accompanied by a Roserade and Espeon. "What do you think is going on?" Rose asked Kirlia.

On his next flight over the forest Jeffrey noticed a girl who was following an Absol.
Vespiquen let him down. "Let's get those two's attention. Sweet Scent." Vespiquen coated the area in a sweet smelling mist, diverting the Absol's attention towards her direction.

Pandora stopped cold and confusedly followed the scent until she found the Vespiquen. Cassandra was right behind her, and, despite the calming scent in the air, was immediately riled up when she saw what had drawn Pandora off course. "Alright you bastard, I know you lured my Absol away from whatever she was sensing! You got three seconds to start talking before I pound you into a fine paste! Three!" She cracked her knuckles threateningly and took a stance, death glaring the boy and his Vespiquen.

Deep in a heavy woodland, Felicity Dubois walked alongside her companion Monferno. The two were far from home, a bit too far, and Fliss knew she shouldn't be wandering out so far. It was late in the afternoon, and even if she set off now, Fliss would never get home in time for tea. But she didn't really care. Looking up at the trees and sky, she took in a great breath of the woodland air, and sighed in bliss. It was so nice to just being alone. Living in a house with six other people and five pokemon could get very stuffy.
In a world of her own, Fliss continued to pace through the forest, her hands brushing through some tall purple weeds. She gazed around lazily, taking in the beauty of the trees, the flowers, the grass. Monferno followed her companion and turned to look at the trees too. But she noticed something. Perched on the branch of a tree in the shadows, there was a Noctowl. It was the largest one Monferno had ever seen! And it just perched there, glaring menacingly. Monferno felt unsettled, and turned back to follow Fliss. But the Noctowl's stare never dropped. Monferno turned back to look. Her heart was racing. It was huge, at least 6 and a half feet. How that branch could hold it was a mystery! And its eyes were huge too. All the better to glare with.
The Notowl's wings shuffled, looking as if it was about to take off. Monferno crept nervously to Fliss's side, reaching for her hand. Fliss stopped walking and turned to look down the shaking Monferno.
"Monferno," she started, "What's up with you?"
Monferno's shivering hand turned to point at the branch Noctowl was stood on, but it was gone. Monferno shook in horror, and cowered up against Fliss's leg. At that moment, there was a great gust of wind, so strong and sudden Fliss and Monferno were knocked onto their backs in a flash as the Noctowl descended upon them both with a soul cracking stare, holding them to the ground. Monferno yelped helplessly as Fliss looked up in horror at the giant bird stood above her. The Noctowl looked down and shuffled its wings.
"What are you, you great beast of a bird!" Fliss shouted weakly in a flawed attempt to sound in anyway confident in the situation.

"Vespiquen, set up a defense"
A large swarm of bees flew out of Vespiquen's abdomen and clung onto Jeffrey. Jeffrey, undisturbed by his partners means of defense, began talking.

"It should regain its sense shortly, I imagine. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I know why you that thing was running, and it has something to do with Arceus being taken over. So am I, and I even have a clue."
He pulls down his scarf, revealing the the red chain. "This thing here, whatever it is, is trying to lead me somewhere. I'm pretty sure its connected to a legendary Pokemon. Probably a psychic one, because it keeps putting ideas into my head."

"Anyway, I need help getting to it, because I don't fully trust a necklace to care about my health and well-being. Since you seem to have a similar goal in mind, care to help? I can help you on whatever your quest is as well."
