Two dozen subjects-to-be were carried into the lab. The head scientist sighed. Not every subject would survive, that was for sure. He nodded, and the other scientists injected each adolescent. Some of them stopped breathing, while others started changing before dying.

But several lived.

Once the Merge had taken place, the subjects were carried into a room, with a dish of water and nothing else. The lock clicked.

Colby woke up. "Huh..? But there was a fire, I should be..." He felt something on his head. Reaching for it, he found it to be a girl, about four inches tall.
"Excuse me, miss, but you were on my head."

132 stared intently at the two kids in front of her, she wanted to say something, but she doesn't know what she looks like, and therefore is too afraid to talk to them. What if they said she was ugly, like how everyone else did back home? She didn't want anyone to laugh at her ugliness. But she still wanted to be noticed, and tried smiling for them, but her pitch black eyes didn't make her look cute at all...

Colby turned to 132. "Oh, hi! I'm Colby, what's your name, miss?"

Karli woke up. The way everything looked was different, as if she had a second head. She turned, to find that was indeed the case. Screaming, she gazed down on herself. "I-I'm made of ice cream!?"

"I don't know... My name is... um... 132...?" She turned her head towards the Vanilluxe merge, "Yes... you're made of ice cream. I think I'm made out of bandages..." she said, looking at herself which was covered in white bandages, "I'm not even hurt..."

Jet opened his eyes as he heard screaming and looked around. All he saw were odd creatures that looked half human and half pokemon. It frightened him. He backed up until he found a corner and put his legs up in front of him in a sitting form of the fetal position.

"That's a strange name." Colby said. "I appear to be made of metal, but I do remember being hurt, dying, in fact. My house burned to the ground, my parents and I inside it. But my brother and sister..." He paused in thought. "They must be alive! I've gotta find them!"

"You're not getting out." A voice echoed. It came from a bird-man that seemed to be covered in leaves. "That door is impenetrable."

Indigo's vision was blurred as he came to his senses he could make out a few figures around him, and a voice babbling on. He could just about make sense of it.

...which is why they call me-- Are you even listening, Indigo? Indigo!

His vision suddenly snapped into place as his head suddenly jerked to one side. He could've sworn he'd just been slapped by The Invisible Man. There. That's better. The voice in his head was familiar, unmistakable.
"Ozias...?"
Ah. There are more of you. Better extend my field, then. Ozias' voice seemed to echo from everywhere now. Hello! I'm late again, aren't I? The name's Ozias. What are you guys called? Not you, Indigo.

"You checked it?" Gregor asked having woke up a little ago but deciding to watch quietly, his brother Gorger sleeping rather loudly next to him, their diglett quietly on his other side. He then heard the voice. "I'm Gregor and the idiot next to me is called Gorger. They named our Diglett 80OB."

"J-Jet. Wh-who are you?" Jet asked timidly from his corner wondering where the voice came from.

A figure covered in a violet mist floated through the far wall. "No... She isn't here. We must find her, make her pay for what she did to us..."

Erin woke up. "Ugh... Could you let me go? Preferably near the water dish?" Colby complied.

Those are cool names. Never heard of anyone called them before. And Jet, to answer you, I'm commonly better known as the Green-Eyed Gallade. I'm like you guys, a Merge. You're probably wanting an explanation to what the hell's going on?

"I know what happened... They said that the merging would make me look normal... But..." She looked at the water bowl, "I need to see this for a second." She gazed at her reflection, and the first question that came to mind was, "Why are my eyes black?" she asked.

I'm telepathic, which is great. I'm also in cryogenic stasis in another region, which is not so great. From the beginning! Ahem.

So, you've all seen the news report that a load of biologists were arrested for mucking about with DNA, right? They're the Half Project, and more importantly, back. You've been Merged with Pokémon. Look at yourselves. Ta-da! Superpowered hybrids, all of us. Fantastic, isn't it? But we need to stop the Project, or else they'll use us as overpowered bio-weapons to take over the world. Me and my friends stopped them once. We tried again this time, but now we're in stasis. If you can help us, we can help you guys out in return.

I'd lengthen this, but we're running out of time. The guards are patrolling past here soon, and they'll hear me. I'd recommend waiting for a while if you want to get out. You could try something at breakfast... Oh, shoot, just a sec!
Ozias cut out for a few moments, then returned. Any questions?

Erin jumped onto the ledge of the water bowl. She reached down and tried to scoop up some of the liquid. "I feel peculiar..."

The wraith started to panic. "Everyone, get down!" She screamed as Erin started to grow.

"Why are my eyes black!? THOSE LIARS SAID I WOULD BE NORMAL!" 132 shouted in a random outburst, she didn't move for Erin, being too upset with the scientists.

Indigo leapt into a corner. "Whoa... Did I just do that?"

What'd I tell you? Superpowered hybrids! Indigo, you seem really fast. Erin! You're a dual Merge! You can adjust your size! But apparently not at will. 132! You have the power to get out of the way!

Erin broke through the ceiling, and the ceiling above that one, until her head poked out of the roof. The dish rolled away, and she shrank back to four inches. "What the..?" A large capsule, about seven feet long, fell into the room, nearly flattening Colby. "Ow!"

The capsule began to glow as it was lifted upright and off of Colby. And what might this be?
"What does it look like to you, Ozias?"
Let's turn it around and find out! The capsule gyrated.
