Some of you may have noticed an incident in the NY-23 electoral battle thread tonight.
They may also have noticed the interpretation of the rule evkl posted there. I will be discussing what happened there with evkl, it's not the issue at stake here. The issue at stake is my interpretation of the rules.
As far as I am concerned, the rule says you can use insulting comments "within reason". Calling other users "dickhead" is not within reason. Trying to justify yourself on the ground that you didn't explicitly name the posters it not what I consider a legitimate defense.
I will not hesitate to infract people over that sort of comments.
