this is where we can talk about everyone's favorite pink puffball jigglypu- I mean Kirby. He has two new games coming out (actually battle royale came out already I think) and planet robobot was awesome. Super star (ultra) was awesome and squeak squad was... Less than adequate (in my opinion). So: chat away.

I love Kirby! I still have some of the old GBA games like Nightmare In Dreamland and The Amazing Mirror, the latter I think is the best one. I also really like Triple Deluxe, too! Its soundtrack is really good!

I'm planning on doing a speech about how Kirby's Dream Land 3 presents its story at the end of my let's play, something I've previously discussed in two scripted videos, but I digress. Here's what I've written down in a notebook:
"A Story Only a Game Can Tell"

Kirby games are not masterpieces of interactive storytelling; I'm not trying to argue that.

In Kirby games, the plot twist is that there is a story. Their stories are great because of what isn't said.

For example, the heart stars give a theme of helping people for the greater good. Story is told through gameplay.
"A Story Only a Game Can Tell", continued:
The great thing about the medium of video games is that you don't HAVE to have an in-depth story, as long as the gameplay is solid.
What do you think?

(There's also how I'm rushing to get this let's play finished - I have two episodes left to do - before I let's play Klonoa for its 20th anniversary.)

You might want to go a bit into what you think dark matter and
zero
represent but you probobly don't want to go into spoiler territory
although zero being the end boss is rather well known by now to the point of being an "it was his sled" moment and your going to be at the end anyways and will have already fought the giant bloody eyeball.

My analysis is more focused on the heart stars. Also, I'm slightly worried that this will end up being a chuggaaconroy-Yami situation and my name will be under Word of Dante on TV Tropes.

I've been a fan of the series and Kirby himself since I was very little. My first game was Kirby's Avalanche (not a true Kirby game, I know) but the next was Kirby's Adventure and I played that a lot more. I had a lot of fun playing it on the NES with my cousins, I even remember all the secret areas. xD Other than Pokemon, I spent a LOT of time playing Kirby games when I was younger. My favorite games are Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby Air ride and I own:
Kirby's Dream Land, cartridge
Kirby's Adventure, digital
Kirby Super Star, digital
Kirby's Avalanche, cartridge
Kirby's Dream Course, complete
KD3, digital
Kirby Air ride, complete
Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, cartridge
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, complete
Kirby Squeak Squad, complete
Kirby Super Star Ultra, complete
Kirby's Epic Yarn, complete
Kirby's Dream Collection, complete
Kirby Planet robobot, complete
The anime was fun to watch, too. I still watch a few episodes from time to time.

I think this is the most Kirby fans I've ever seen.

Kirby 64 was the first Kirby title I've ever played. However, because of this, I didn't know Waddle Dees were enemies in other games.

Mind if I shamelessly self-promote my let's play of Kirby's Dream Land 3? I'm just about to edit the semifinale.

I've been recently playing Team Clash Deluxe on the 3DS. It's a pity they have to block off all the quests behind soft paywalls, but as a F2P title what can you do? I do think the game's worth about $5 and spent that much to shorten the grind for a few days (which also upgraded the size of the Gem Apple tree, reducing all future grinds threefold), but only on the one-time sales; their absence from the Shop menu will be a reminder.

The actual battles are fun, sort of like halfway between Smash Bros. and Monster Hunter. (Speaking of which, I do love the Landia armor set.)

My reaction at the clone of Dark Matter in Kirby Planet Robobot in Meta Knight's story: "I kicked your butt 20 years ago, and I can do it again!"
