Since the pokémon online community began, it has seen many conflicts, wars, etc. Most of them were the result of small groups fighting each others and drawing more and more people into the conflict. And, frankly, the wars were, for just about everyone else, really annoying.

However, in some of the more recent conflicts - the Bulbagarden-Serebii wars being a case in point, we've also seen that people refusing to take part in the conflict, except to point out to the people involved that they were going too far (the "Serebii vs Archaic - Enough is Enough" sigs, for example) could have quite the impact.

However, it took a long time before the "peace facton" got started during that particular conflict.

What I propose is to have this club/organization formed so that, when that sort of conflicts erupt (and the SOVA situation is beginning to look troublesome in that sense), we can organize and provide a credible "middle road" for community members to take, rather than side with either of the fighting factions.

Anyone else interested?

(A note to SOVA and SONVA posters : being supporters of the old/new voice actors does NOT mean you can't be part of the LNP! You can very well be part of the LNP and still put pressure on PUSA to bring the old VAs back. All that being a member of LNP would mean is that you think fighting between SOVA and SONVA (or WPM, or whoever) is pointless and a bad thing for everyone)

Errr...you do realize you're a big part of the ongoing SOVA problems, which is probably the number one concern the League would have right now?

I am very neutral on many things, ESPECIALLY the sova/sonva thing. Being a subbie, I could care less who the fuck voices the show...

So, yeah, sign me up! :D
 
Do you not realize the futility of this? Forming more groups will only lead to more lines being drawn and even more fighting. Members of this group seem to be wanted to go around and tell people to stop fighting, and when someone interferes wrongly in an argument you're having, you lash out at them. That = more fighting.
 
You do realize, TGB, that there is a copious amount of sarcasm inherent in Figment's post, right?

It's not so much about telling people to stop fighting, but about telling people to keep their fights private.

If Archaic and Serebii (example) wants to fight, power to them. But there is absolutely NO reason for them to involve ANYONE ELSE in their fight.

That is what we're about. Not about telling people to stop fighting, but about telling people to stop annoying everybody else with their personal fights.
 
Just watch, as soon as the members of this club start meddling in others' affairs, all hell will break loose.

It's just like SONVA. A group formed just to spite another group (this one meant to spite SOVA and SONVA) will only lead to more fighting.

I think he's a little of both, actually. I think both sides have good points. However, I don't believe that PUSA is planning to ever hire back the original VAs. I think this might have been a corporate decision made a long time ago. In that case, I still want to watch the anime and I'm willing to give the new VAs a chance.
 
That is why I banned all sova/sonva talk from [HASHTAG]#bulbagarden[/HASHTAG] chat. People like to start fighting over something and ruining what should be a good chat and/or forum. Bickering is much better kept in private chat and private messages.

Also, it doesn't seem like this group has been made to spite ANY group. Instead, it seems to have been made to help the bulbagarden forums. Fighting is always a bad thing on a forum or chat and makes people want to leave for a more sane forum/chat. I think that this might just be a great thing!

And count me in for the "STFU Hat" orders. lol

Or "SCREW THE FIGHTS! I HAVE PEACE!".

SONVA made in spite? No, simply just for the other half of the fandom.

Well thank you for proving my point. The members of this group going around saying "EVERYBODY STFU" is just the inflammatory thing I was saying would lead to more fighting.

This thing is a farce, an utter, flaming farce. But no one will listen until it's too late.
