Well I am getting intrigued by it and I thought of the 2 logical solutions:

A while back someone posted info on how in the Anime their will only be one frontier because of it being the same in hgss. Did the frontier case happen? Yes.(game wise so obviously anime wise) Along with this news they posted on how the 5th gen won't be revealed until movie 14 when a Pokemon will be showcased then. Now if a Pokemon is showcased then, then the next games will arrive in 2012 2013. if 2012 then Pokemon HG/SS will tide over well enough for the next 3 years and as a result the item will carry over into the 5th gen games. If 2013 though I can easily see RS remakes being released in 2011 as a 4 year gap is madness where a 3 year gap is still reasonable. In the RS remakes something will most likely be triggered with the rock capsule and it could be special. One of these cases will happen and I do not believe otherwise. As for the info person:

When I read it again I saw based. But no way would the 5th gen games be out in 2010 for the Anime to have at least a years worth of 5th gen plot. So I'm going with the above 2:
-5th gen special item for the game when out in 2012
-RS remake special item for when the games are out in 2011.

I say this all cause the text sounds like it would if you sent it to someone.
  • The Rock / Lock capsule has a relationship to Wi-Fi. In the game data, there is text that says, "The Rock Capsule is being looked after carefully. The Rock Capsule arrived safely!" It's probably a pre-programmed Mystery Gift. The data for the text above is in the same location as the Manaphy egg from Pokemon Ranger. Could there be a special Pokemon inside, a special item like the Mystery Crystal, or could it unlock something in a future game?

Uhm, I really doubt Rock Capsule or whatever has ANYTHING to do with the fifth generation, let alone Ruby/Sapphire remakes, which they probably don't even have an outline for..

..On that note, where would the red chain be obtained in any of the games? It's sprited with no purpose; perhaps the capsule is the same? Mentioned, but not obtained, I mean.

Red Chain is in like every single previous item because it just is.

Yes, but the point is, it's unobtainable yet sprited. This could be the same thing. The chain is mentioned, perhaps the capsule is as well.

While it could it just doesn't make sense. It has no use but it can be traded off to something. Why and how I have no idea but it just makes sense that it would be a normal item with trade elements for only a future game.

Hm.. Maybe there will be another game out for the Wii that's HG/SS related? Another RPG like they had for Gamecube back in the day? I know they have Battle Revolution, but from what I've heard it has no story mode-type thing..

I don't think it will have a purpose, otherwise I'm sure some other clues would've been found in the script. It's probably just leftover data like the Red Chain and Magma Rock.

It is in the script though. It has Wifi data of it being sent/sent back and it has the same spot in the code as the Manaphy egg did. What it doesn't have in the script is any notion at all that it can opened in the game.

If anything, it's left over data that they don't plan on using, or something that will involve a side game. They aren't going to plan events in the fifth generation, when GameFreak doesn't even know what the next console will be, and if we will have connectivity between the fourth and fifth generation.

Exactly left over from what. It has no purpose it has no connections to anything all we know its got the ability to be traded to other games..

You couldn't used them, Game Freak may have intended them to be key items, but they scrapped the idea. The items where then Left Over in the game script.

Only what purpose does the rock capsule serve? I mean it could just be leftover data but you'd think it would serve some purpose. Like how the red chain was probably going to be used for the player to summon Dialga/Palkia, but then was scrapped, so it was just leftover.

Anyone have the sprite of the Rock Capsule, or is it that one thing I asked about. The green pill in scifi looking handcuffs that was between the Question mark and the island pass?

It's called the "rock" capsule, but I can't really think of what its for. The only legendary rock Pokemon, I can think of at the moment, is Regirock, and that's just a stupid idea.

If it has nothing to do with HGSS, only then do I see it being for a future game.

Edit: It also being a WiFi key item, makes it even less likely that it is leftover data.

Exactly its Wifi Key item that you can trade on to other games. I have no idea what games they would be but my two hunches are those.
