Is there any chance that Bulbagarden's main site could be like those of rival sites, with infomation anime guides and what not?

We would if people would submit guides and stuff to the site....

I think the plan was to have Bulbapedia and Bulbanews fill those needs...

Oh, yes!

I would love that! ^_^

In fact, back when the main site was still up, I loved going to bulbagarden.com every day, just to read the episode guides and look at pics of episodes (I wasn't a member of the forums back then, I just visited the site for many hours each day, lol).

However, I remember that Archaic or one of the mods/admins on here said that they wanted Bulbagarden to be a different Pokemon site, and that they didn't want BMG to just copy everything else that other sites have.

Of course, if there's a way we could still have everything all other Pokemon sites have, and still do it our own way and be original about it, I would really love to have the actual website back.

Well I certainly would help build bulbagarden up where it needs to be if someone could structure a cool layout and decent formatting structure. I certainly love the theme of the site, and believe BMG could be a huge(r) site.

Well, if all the staff like the idea, and they actually agree to make a main website for Bulbagarden, it would be one of my dreams come true (and I really do miss the original BMG site).

And by the way, if somehow everyone does agree to doing this, I suggest that you guys try to recreate the BMG that I remember, meaning you make the site looks just as close to the original Bulbagarden as possible (with the exception of having all the updated information, guides and everything new of course). That would be so awesome.

Oh sorry I always get you and trainer rachel from SPP mixed up, you two have the same awesome personalities it's hard sometimes :p sorry for the mix up.

I called her Lisa the other day too haha.

Oh, that's okay, Justin. ^^

And it's perfectly understandable too.

Aww, thanks for the compliment there, with the "awesome personalities". ^_^

You're a very sweet guy, you know that?

The thing is, and it has already been mentioned, we don't want to be a carbon copy of the other Pokemon sites. If you're looking for content, there's Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. If you want fanart, there's the Gallery and the Fanart forums, etc.

Having staff-updated websites is sooo [wp]Web 1.0[/wp]. Viva el wiki! Viva la revolución de la Web 2.0!

Although, still, I have to mention again the fact that I really loved the original BMG site, and it always holds a special place in my heart.

And in my opinion, it wouldn't matter to me if the site was a carbon copy of every other Pokemon site out there, just as long as the site looked either exactly like or very similar to the Bulbagarden website I remember (though, that's just me).

Actually, you know what, now that I think about it, if you guys were gonna recreate the look of the original BMG, then you wouldn't even have to make it a carbon copy by giving the site all the additional Pokemon information, guides, and pics that all other sites have.

You could just recreate the look of the site some other way to make it similar to BMG. And I'd be satisfied with even that.
