Wow!

That's awesome!

But wait, I'm confused about something......

Does that mean the Japanese fans will be able to watch the dubbed (English) version of Mastermind?

Or does that mean they'll be able to watch it in Japanese on that website?

I wonder if the voices will be as good since THEY are ones having to dub and have constraints to fit the flaps...

They probably wrote the Japanese script while animating the episode.

Sweet! Can't wait to get it. Squee I can't wait to hear Rica's about-to-faint voice. XD

The episode was apparently recorded back in Februrary. (Or Kasumi's VA did it back then anyway.) They probably did it when they were making it for 4Kids/PUSA.

I remember someone mentioning the weird writing. Like for some reason Dr. Yung knew all about Mewtwo despite the fact that should be impossible, as everyone involved with it is either dead, had their memories erased, or has never met him before.

1) Voice acting in Japanese productions is always done after the animation is finished. So Mastermind won't be any different for the voice actors than the other 400+ episodes were.

2) The Japanese couldn't care less about matching lip flaps.

- from everything I've read it's the exact opposite. The script and storyboard are done first, than the actors record their part and then the animation is drawn around them.

For American productions, that's true. But Japanese animated productions are always animated before the voices are recorded.

I wonder if this will be simmilar to what happened with the Yugioh Movie (people ended up liking the later Japanese version, which had less corny lines, more then the cheesy English one)

The big problem many people had mainly with the special in ether verson[original and redub] was the voice acting. Also, I doubt there's really much different between the English and Japanese versons of the Yu-gi-oh movie. The only real difference between them is that the Japanese verson had new scenes and was a little longer then the English verson.
