-The Missing-
A Wolfin/Ledian RPG

The world is teeming with pokemon. For years humans and pokemon have lived side by side, cooperating with each other, helping each other build a better world for both of them. Or so some think. For not all humans accepted living together with pokemon, some people felt pokemon were tools to be used as they saw fit, felt that they had no feelings, no emotions, and just used them for their own desires. Some were just cruel, not caring one way or the other if they neglected them. Whether the pokemon liked or hated the humans, whether the pokemon were wild or captive, this was how the world was. There was no way to change it. Humans seemed like they were here to stay.

They werent.

Because you ARE one of those pokemon, and one day you woke up to a world without humans. Everythings the same, cars in the streets, buildings as they were when you went to sleep that night, but not a human to be seen. Realising this is strange and wondering where they went, or perhaps glad theyre gone, you explore around you, seeking out other pokemon in the area, trying to find out what had happened.
But the only sure thing was that the humans were gone.

Ok, this RPG is set in and around the fictional pokemon town of Capsule City. To the west is a forested area, and surrounding the rest of the town is some fields and a lake in the center. The lake is called Sushi Lake and is in the middle of the Citys park, which is a favorite spot for pokemon. Everyones character will be in this area, and will be congrigating here so this is a good spot to have your character meet everyone. Then the two groups will set off trying to either bring the humans back or keep them from coming back. Ill let anyone make the first post ^-~

Name: Lex
Gender: Male
Tame/Wild: Tame
Side: Humans return.
Species: Combusken
Appearance: just your average fast torchic.

History: Lex was one of the starting pokemon at Professor Birch's lab in Littleroot Town. He was born in a ranch in Mauville City to a blaziken mom and a camerupt dad. He has several brothers and sisters. Their names are: Kara, Tanis and Bullet. After the humans vanished, he was left without a trainer and now wants to try to find them. He also wants to make his way back to Mauville ranch to see his parents, friends and family. He wants to find his trainer and the rest of the humans because the balance of nature id off and his parents wanted him to fix the balance.

Lex has friends at the ranch and they wanted him to go scope things out while he went to find out what happened and if anyone else wanted to help him.

Personality: He's a born leader type, everyone's friend and tries to do what's best even though he'd make mistakes. He's very close to his family and is there for them and his friends.

Other: He's fast. Really fast. He knows a lot about Pokemon type advantages, strategies, abilities and in general thanks to being taught by his parents at the ranch.

--------------------------

"Chris. Where are you?!" I thought as I paced around the pokemon center of Capsule City.

It qwasn't like him to be late. I was just sitting in the Pokemon Center waiting for my trainer. I never liked pokeballs so I was out a lot. He said he was going to use the bathroom but he never returned and for some reason I saw a flash of yellow light from the bathroom and Chris screamed. The pokemon center seemed empty and several pokemon were soon making their way to a park.

"Hey kid!" a charizard called over to me. "Are ya comin' or not?"

"Like I got a choice?" I tapped my foot and looked back at the bathroom door. Something was up and I couldn't put my finger on it.

I've been Chris's pokemon for a couple of months now and before that I was born and raised in Mauville City's ranch to my parents, a famous camerupt and blaziken. I still remembered the words my mother said to me the day I left home to Littleroot Town.

"Be careful son and remember, you always have a place here, my little chick."

If anything happened to Chris, I should probably head back to Mauville ranch and get help from pokemon there. I looked around and I saw empty cars in the streets and no sign of people anywhere.

"So, where are we going?" I asked the charizard as he flapped his wings and took to the air.

"See the park?" he responded. "Meet some other pokemon there. I need to go get some others."

"Yeah, sure.." I sighed and made my way inside the park.

The park had many trees and I soon came to a clearing complete with a lake and several trees. The humans called it Lake Sushi for some reason and I wasn't sure why. There were several pokemon nearby and they ran up to greet me. Some of them were older and some were smalled. Here I was a young combusken wondering what happend to the people.

"Hey." I asked the crowd. "Can anyone tell me what happened here? I mean I was at the pokemon center. My trainer goes to the bathroom, there was this light and this charizard tells me to go here."

"That's something all of us wants to know",said a Manectric that was named Kira."My trainer and I was siting by the lake when I saw a flash and she was gone like she disapered out of nowhere",said Kira looking alittle bit angry and sad.
"Thats good for them" said some pokemon who was now responding to the bigger Manectric.
"What do you all talking about...you don't want the humans back?",said Lex the Combusken.
"Of course we don' t kid they treat us bad and think we are all here to work for them", said a Zangoose called Talon who sounded really happy that all humans where gone.
Then Kira angery to the answer he said and gave a snick attack to the Zangoose but doge it in the last minute. "Don't you dare say that My trainer never acted like that to me or my team mates she always wanted us to get strong and be the best that we could be even when we lost to someone",Said a very a pissed off Manectric.
"I am just telling you the truth",said Talon ready to attack Kira.
"Guys stop fighting this is no way two strong pokemon act",said a Vaporeon called Mizu who got in front of both pokemon."Yeah remember there are baby pokemon here",said Lex. And both pokemon cooled down. "Okay but tell that Manectric to not give snick attacks to me",said the Zangoose. "Fine I will But never say that about humans in front of me 'kay",Kira said while holding up her paw for a hand shake."Okay, agree",Talon said. And both pokemon shook there paws/hands.
"But I still don't know where they have all gone to",said Lex worried about his trainer.
"I know what you mean I am worried that my trainer will get hurt where ever she is",Kira said a little sad again.
"Not me my trainer acted was really mean to me",said Mizu. Lex and Kira looked surprised that a trainer acted that way to its pokemon friends.

Name: Talon
Gender: Male
Tame/Wild: Wild.
Side: Is extremely happy the humans are gone, seeing as the forest he lived in was a major tourist site for humans, not to mention a heaven for pokemon trainers who seeked a capture.
Species: Zangoose
Appearance: Would appearlike a normal Znagoose from a distance, but once getting closer, you would notice that not only is the fur on Talon a lot slicker, and shinier. But that unlike most Zangoose Talon does not have a pot belly. A slender,well built Zangoose that uses his slimmer size to his advantage. His claws are as sharp as sickles, and instead of the traditional purple, they are pitch black.
History: He was born and raised in the forest's Zangoose clan, and had lived in peace with most of the forest inhabitants for a long time. One day a few human contorled machines ripped through the forest making paths, and cutting trees. Not only did these machines create a lot of noise, but they also took away lives of many poor pokemon. After months of running away to new homes, Talon found his clan now five times smaller than it had once been. His parents and elder of the clan had all died in the clearing of the forest. His clan was forced to live up in the caves, while their old home was turned into an attraction. Soon after that he witnessed pokemon being captured by humans and taken away. Angry him and his crew mates faught against any trainers, and often scared away tourists. In the process many of his friends had been captured, but not without a fight, for the Zangoose had a tendency to attack the trainer and not worry about the pokemon. Now only a few Zangoose remain, fighting back for what was once there's.
Personality: Talon is smart, quick on his feet and very energetic. With pokemon he is bery friendly often befriending them, but when humans come into a terretory they shouldn't be in, he gets aggresive and protective.
Other: Err ... none ... will tell you when I think of something.

|| Talon the Zangoose ||

The morning sun shone into the cave the same way it did every morning, and Talon like always was at its mouth watching as the shadow of the rock slowly dissapeared. The warmth of the sunlight filled the cave and soon many, well the remainder of his friends were up and stretching and grooming, ready for another days work.

"Ready?" Asked Talon, his voice stern and confident, like that of a leader. He knew the boys and girls in his clan needed that encourgement every morning. "Scratch, Falcon, Saber, Srac, and Zac. I need you guys to go check out the Forest Borders, I don't want any trainers getting in, unless he somehow takes all of you down."

"You got it." They all replied at once.

"Good, the rest of you, can stay here for the time being. When these five return I need replacements. Switch every hour or so. Oh and Malina and Ragga, you two need to get some more berries, we're running short." The two of them nodded and all seven ran out of the cave.

"I will go check Sushi Park, some punk has been coming there often lately, and everytime I'm there he tries chasing me. Today I think I'll actually battle him." The rest of the clan giggled, as if Talon was embarking upon a heroic mission.

"Good luck ... don't hurt yourself ... snicker ... don't kill the guy." Talon smiled and left the cave. He didn't run, he had no need to. It was warm, the wind was still and all he could care about is how he would teach this punk to chase him. Yet when he reached Sushi Park he was surprised. Where once many trainers sat and chated about their latest victories or their new captures, there were none. Not a trainer to be seen. Ever since the forest was cut up for this place he couldn't recall a day without a human setting foot in the park, and yet there he stood shocked.

"Where are the humans?" Talon spoke out, walking through the trees and revealing himself to the crowd of pokemon.

"Don't tell me you misssssssssss them." A voice loomed from behind.

"Shut up Roch." Talon replied, the rather large Ariados simply snickered.

"Looksssss like your little clan won't have anything to fight againssssssssst. Poor Zangoosssssssesss." Talon turned around and kicked Roch across the face. "Angry aren't you? Well I got some Pidgey nesssssstsss to raid, ssssso I will have to part with you." He said evily before shooting his spider web into the trees, he was gone.

Talon looked around, and noticed how pokemon just keept pouring in, but a small group of pokemon caught his eye. He slowly made his way over to where a Combusken and a Manectric were chatting about something.

"My trainer and I was sitting by the lake when I saw a flash and she was gone." He heard the Manectric say.

"Good for your trainer." He replied, butting his way into the conversation.

"What are you talking about ... you don't want the humans back?" Said the Combusken, Lex.

"Actaully no. I'm quite happy the are gone, although I'll miss scaring them off." Talon replied, glad that the humans had dissapeared. It had just hit him, the only reason this place was humen-less, was because of their dissapearence.

"Won't you miss your trainer?" A quiet voice was heard from above, a small Pidgey was looking down at Talon.

"Ha, 30 Lum berries to the trainer who can get me inside his pokeball. Speaking of which, I missed breakfast today, and I can sure use a Pidgey just about now." Talon joked. The Pidgey, being as young as it was didn't understand, and flew away in terror. "Anyway, as I was saying, those trainers, all they do is treat you like tools of war. They make you work, and yet what for? Not like they make any stronger. Human trained pokemon are slaves and I truely pity them, that is why I protect the wild pokemon population of the forest." At this point the Manectric jumped at him, as quick as the Manectric was, he managed to dodge.

"Don't you dare say that about my trainer. My trainer never acted like that to me or my team mates. She always wanted us to get strong and be the best that we could be even when we lost to someone." The Manectric said.

"Look, I don't want to fight you," Talon said, although he himself stood in his fighting pose, his unusual black claws digging into the ground, ready to pounce at the yellow mutt. "I'm just telling the truth. You'd be much happier out in the wild. I guarantee it." The Manectric growled, Talon was about to jump, but a lovely Vaporeon walked between the two of them.

"Guys stop fighting this is no way two strong pokemon should act" Talon was fighting the temptation to say that wild pokemon are always stronger.

"Yeah remember there are baby pokemon here." Said Lex who was awfully quite about the two fighting.

"Oh you mean like that Pidgey?" Talon laughed, the three girls didn't seem to like his joke. "I was kiddin' with him, I wasn't actually going to eat him." He said. Kira and Talon comprimised, although he still thought humans were stupid. Truth be told he grew kinda fond of these three trained pokemon, although he wouldn't show it.

"So no one knows where the humans went?" Asked Talon.

"No. I am worried that my trainer will get hurt where ever she is." Said Kira.

"Not me my trainer acted was really mean to me." Answered Mizu the Vaporeon.

"I hate to the breaker of bad news ... but, I told you so." Said Talon. Kira and Lex didn't seem to enjoy that comment. "God, can a Zangoose get a break here? I was joking. Anyhow for the time being I'll stay here, maybe some of my clan will come back with news. And for the time being, I have to say ... keep the humans out." He finished. Yet in his mind the thoughts raced, where could they have gone? And how?

Name: Mizu
Gender: Female
Tame/Wild: Tame, her owner was not a very nice person though, he always made her train against electric types to get her stronger, but being a water pokemon she was very sensitive to electricity and hated it.
Side: Is glad the humans are gone and thinks its a lot more peaceful now that there are just pokemon in the world
Species: Vaporeon
Appearance: Like a regular Vaporeon except for silver wavy markings on her flank, and bright blue eyes.
History: Lived with a very mean pokemon trainer. He caught her when she was just an Eevee and tried a water stone on her, but later wished he used a fire stone. Mad at himself that he was 'stuck' with a vaporeon he treated her badly and set her up with battles she couldnt possibly win to try and get her to be stronger. Scolds her when she lost, and made her train against pokemon that had a type advantage just out of spite. Is pretty much scared and wary of humans because of it and likes the fact that her mean trainer is gone.
Personality: Brave and tough on the outside, but inside shes emotionally damaged. Sort of feels like shes not worth anything because thats how her trainer made her feel. Isnt really evil just doesnt want the humans to ever come back, but is nice to her fellow pokemon.
Other: Man....can never think of anything for other lol Ok I think I know, shes never seen another member of her species (any eevee evolution) and wants to meet one. Her parents were an eevee and a ditto and as an egg was given to her trainer so she never saw either one.

~Mizu the Vaporeon~
When something is missing and you dont care..

The sun came up on another great day.

I told myself that every morning, told myself this day would be a good one, but somehow my trainer managed to change my mind every time. But I didnt want to learn to dread waking up in the morning, I wanted to believe this day would be different, even though it never turned out that way. I wanted to believe that maybe one day Id wake up and he would be gone, hoped that one day he would just release me into the wild if he hated me so much, prayed that he would at least try and trade me for what he wanted. I wouldnt even have minded being bred to another of my kind, because then Id at least get to see how my kind was supposed to live. Were their lives better than mine? Or was this how Eevee evolutions were supposed to live?

”Stupid Water Pokemon! You are such a failure. Why couldnt I have just bought the Fire Stone? I thought for sure that water would be best so I could surf everywhere, but man are you weak!” Im sorry Nick...I wish I was stronger....I wish I wasnt what you hated...but I cant become a Flareon now...
“Pffft....Well I spent good money on you so your going to be strong whether you like it or not....dont look at me like that!” Why...why did you hit me and make me fight the Flaffy? She was so much more stronger than me..

I hated electricity. It hurt more than any other type I fought. Every day I fainted and got revived just to faint again, my levels didnt gain as high as he thought they would. How could they when he wouldnt heal me in battle? I dreamed of running away, but he made sure I didnt do that either. Hed keep me in the PC or in my pokeball at night, and only let me out when it was time to ‘train’. Any other pokemon probably would have wished to die after the treatment I got from my owner, but hope kept me alive. He wasnt always like this, when I was an eevee he treated me well, he was happy he got me when I hatched from the egg he had....it was only after I touched the water stone and became this Vaporeon I am now that his moods changed. Why couldnt I have stayed the Eevee he loved?

Opening my eyes slowly I looked up at the sky, expecting to see my trainer. I had been let out of my pokeball so I assumed it was training time. But I didnt hear his snide abrasive voice, or see a foot coming down to kick me. Where was he? And who let me out?

“Hey,” a voice came from behind me. Turning around I saw it was the Flaffy, the one I always trained with. Bracing myself for an electric attack, I was surprised to find her sitting down, holding up a paw in peace. “No, theres no need to fight anymore. Somethings happened, and now all of the humans are gone, Nick included.” Not believing what I was hearing I could just stand there as she went on. “Im sorry about all those times I had to fight you. I wished I didnt have to listen to him but I was scared, I was taught in the Nursery to obey the trainers no matter what. But theyre gone now, hes gone. We re both free.”

Free.....I couldnt believe what these words meant. Was I....free? Could it even be real? Would I even know what to do now that I was FREE?! She could probably tell that I was shocked. “Theres a pokemon meeting near Sushi Lake, Ill meet you there ok?” She said before running off.

It WAS true, I sensed it now. I ran off in the direction of Sushi lake, with a spring in my step for the first time since my Eevee days.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Stop fighting guys!” I said to the Zangoose and the Manectric that were fighting. I kind of leaned more to the Zangooses side though, the electric pokemon scared me a bit and I agreed with his dislike of the humans. My trainer wasnt nice at all and I didnt think there were too many good humans anyway. But I also didnt think we should be fighting each other. We were all pokemon.
I could tell that some of us wouldnt get along witht he others though. Some of us wanted the humans to come back but some of us, like me, were glad they were gone. Suddenly a large Charizard stood up. “Pokemon!!!! As you all may know by now something has happened to the humans! Theyre all gone!” A murmer rose up in the crowd as he continued. “I for one would like to know where they have gone. My trainer was very kind to me and I miss him, and Im sure a lot of you agree.” This time there were some grumbles mixed with cheers from some of the pokemon.
“Where is she..?” A small Azurill said in a small voice, sounding close to tears. The Charizard looked down with a sad face. “I dont know...but I am going to find out!!! Whose with me???” The Charizard stood tall while a group of cheering pokemon flocked to his side.
Me and some of the rest of the pokemon hung back, when the Zangoose stood up to speak. “Why do you want the humans back? All they do is treat us like slaves! Making us do what they want when they want! I say its time for Pokemon to step up as the true rulers of the world! No more should pokemon do the bidding of another creature! Whose with me?”
I walked up to the Zangoose and said “I am!” A group soon formed around the Zangoose too. It seemed we were dividing into two groups, one dedicated to finding the humans and one dedicated to making sure they stayed gone. I felt bad that we were splitting up like this, but remembering all the bad things my trainer ever did to me made me realise one thing.
I never wanted to be his slave again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ok, the zangoose is Talon and the Manectric is Kira of course, and Mizu doesnt hate Kira shes just a little scared of her because of the electricity. Oh and the Flaffy is going to be on the wanting humans back side (I might play as her too). Everyone get into one of the groups based on what you picked, Ill make a list of whos in what group when everyone posts ^-^

Lex the combusken
-----------------------

So much hatred for the humans. I can see the point in some cases but I knew first-hand not all humans were good. Chris and I dealt with some group calling themselves Team Magma in the Petalburg Woods. Since we were splitting up into groups, I wasn't sure what to think.The ones who didn't want humans back didn't seem too happy but they had to understand there was a balance to nature. What was it my mom always told me..

"Lex, before you go to Littleroot you must know that there are good humans, like the ranch hands here and the old couple." My mom sighed heavily annd picked me up. "But, there are bad ones too. If you work hard with your trainer, you can overcome the bad ones. You musn't blame humans for what they do. Just like we can't blame bad pokemon. Yes we can punish them but in the end, humans and bad pokemon alike are needed in the circle of life."

After listening to the zangoose and the vaporeon and the large charizard who led me here, I wasn't sure what to think. I wasn't sure they'd listen to a young combusken from a ranch that's miles away. The manectric was by my side. I wasn't sure who else was. I had to say something now. It was bubbling inside of me waiting to get out.

"Maybe I should explain why some of us want the humans back." I started and faced the group. "My name's Lex and I'm a trained pokemon from Mauville ranch. Don't judge me on that or anything. Fact of the matter is, my trainer Chris was a nice guy. He and his friends Mark and Rose were always good to me. I learned a long time ago thanks to my mother that not all humans were good or bad. Just like some pokemon are inherently jerks. For example, I know firsthand that Professer Birch is a nice guy. Drives like a maniac though."

I looked at the crowd and I wasn't sure if they were listening. It was now or never and after looking at the vaporeon I didn't feel like getting wet. If worse came to worse, I could brick break the zangoose and try to make a run for it.

"I'm not here to fight anyone. But, maybe we should listen to or elder Charizard friend. I know some of you dislike humans but you must realize an important balance to nature has been lost. Yes there are good and bad people but ithout them..nature's out of balance." I continued and saw everyone's shocked expression. "Think about that for a bit."

"Yeah, we'll think about it.." Talon muttered.

I walked to the shore of the lake, ignoring the zangoose for the moment and picked up a stone and skipped it across and I looked up at the midday sun and thought about everything I just said to a group of angry pokemon. I heard steps behind me and I turned around to see the manectric.

"Hey." she smiled. "That was pretty brave of you. My name's Kira."

"Nice to meet you." I smiled politely."I hope I didn't bruise too many egos back there. I mean there were hatchlings and everything. Not a good idea to teach kids to hate you know."

Name:Kira
Gender:Female
Tame/Wild:Befriened as a younge Electrike and soon evolve as a Manectric.
side:Humans back
Species: Manectric
Appearence: Lokks like any normal Manectric but when you look at it more closer its bigger than the normal Manectric and twice the strenght.
History:When she was a small Electrike its mother left her. And trying to survive it got attack by taillows. It got hurt really bad. But a trainer found her and healed her they soon became friends. And she is kind hearted and helps young wild pokemon find there family. And mess with her trainer and friends she will battle you and win.
Other:Thinks wild pokemon and trainers should become friends.And thinks everyone needs help to become strong once in a while. and she belives that pokemon and humans need to be together and live and understand each other lives more fully.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kira the Manectric
After hearing what Lex said I thought he was really brave to say that to some pokemon who don't want the humans back.I saw him leave to the shore of the lake and skipped a stone.So I walked to him and saw me and I sat next to him.
"Hey" and I smiled."That was pretty brave of you.My name is Kira", I said.
"Nice to meet you" and he smiled "I hope I didn't bruise too many egos back there.I mean they were hatchlings and everything.Not a good idea to teach kids hate you know" He said while skipping another stone.
"That is true.My trainer always said in this world there must always be opposite of everything like day and night,dark and light,good and evil but with out humans we are out of balance in nature",I said looking up in the sky. Then i heard some foot steps and I look back of me and it was Talon,Mizu coming to us.
"Hey look who it is the one who want the humans back and the yellow mutt",said Talon with a small grin.
"You wouldn't want to say anything if I was you little kitty..."I said while standing up to stretch."I am much stronger than I look"I finished off.
"That's what you think"he said with a snicker.
"Ohh so you don't believe me that i can beat you" I said with a laugh.
"Guys stop it we don't want a fight we are all pokemon here that are strong in there own ways" said Lex with a sigh that again we are starting a fight.
"Fine"both me and Talon said at the same time.
"Everyone is breaking into two groups the ones that want the humans back and the ones that don't"said Mizu who looked really shy.
"Mizu why are you so afraid of me", I said looking a little bit of concern for her."I am not afraid of you Kira is I am scared of the electricity"She said.
"What do you mean"said Lex."I mean that my trainer made me battle electric pokemon to make me strong"she said with a sad face. I walk next to her and put my paw on her back and said "Don't worried I don't use my electricity on friends",I said with a smiled.And she smiled back. I could not believe it that a trainer forced there pokemon that does not have the advantage over the pokemon they are battling.That just make me sick that trainers act that way to there pokemon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's it for me.

Name: Kiyell
Species: Quilava
Gender: Female
Tame/Wild: Wild
Side: is happy the humans are gone
Appearance: normal for a Quilava
History: When she was a very young Cyndaquil, recently born, a human had discovered hers and her mother's den. She managed to run away, but the trainer wasn't interested in her anyway - he just wanted the strong Typhlosion. He captured her mother, and left her by herself. Later, after she grew older and stronger, she set out to look for the trainer, but couldn't find him. Instead, she was captured by another trainer. This trainer was fairly nice to her, but Kiyell didn't like her anyway - she had always been independent, and didn't like having other people tell which attack to use at which time. Often, because of her inexperienced trainer, she lost to Pokémon who she could have beaten had she been allowed to use other moves. She also loved to roam free and hated being cooped up in a PokéBall. As a result, she became stubborn and obstinate, refusing to do what her trainer told her to, bursting out of her ball when she hadn't been called, and always attempting to run away. Finally, her trainer, fed up, set her free. Since then she has lived in the wild.
Personality: Independent, quick-thinking, and kindhearted. She makes friends easily and will always help them out.
Other: She doesn't like humans, and loves to foil them in their attempts to capture wild Pokémon - by alerting the wild Pokémon of the trainer's presence, so the Pokémon will run away, or by attacking the trainer. She will fight wild Pokémon that attack her, but she doesn't like to fight other trained Pokémon, believing it's the trainer's fault that they are attacking her. Instead, she attacks the trainer. She strongly believes Pokémon are better off now that there are no humans to interfere with their lives.

-----------
Another day...

I woke up. Sun was streaming in through the holes in the cozy hollow tree trunk where I slept. Blinking, I crawled out of the trunk. The sun was already fairly high in the sky. I had slept late.
Last night, a trainer had tried to capture me. His Pokémon had been strong, and it had been a hard battle. I didn't enjoy fighting trained Pokémon. They were human's slaves, forced to attack, and were not my enemies. But there was a limit. But I felt no remorse when I had caused this trainer's Geodude to faint - it had been strong and would have surely beaten me if I had not used my full strength.
But now the forest was oddly quiet. There were still the normal sounds of the wilderness - Pidgeys chirping, Rattatta scampering, and Magikarp splashing in the nearby creek. But normally, at this time of day at the edge of the forest, I could hear the bustle of Capsule City - people talking, battling, and zooming around in the noisy machines they rode in. The city was quiet.
Puzzled, I strode off towards the city. It was deserted, as empty as though it was midnight. But it was late morning. Odd.
I walked through the uncharacteristically quiet streets, until I reached the center of the city. This place was always crowded, with lots of shops, and a park with a lake at the middle. Instead of people, however, I found Pokémon. A whole crowd of Pokémon.
I came to the edge of the group and sat down quietly, listening to their discussion.
~~~~~~~
I sat, pondering what was happening.
The discussion had been long and heated. The humans were gone, that much was clear. That itself was confusing. What happened to them? But now many Pokémon, who seemed to be led by a large Charizard, wanted them back. It seemed the slave Pokémon were so used to being slaves that they disliked freedom. I knew that they didn't know any better, but it seemed odd. And they had been so conditioned by humans they didn't know how to live without them, in the wild.
But a group of Pokémon, who seemed to be led by a Zangoose called Talon, agreed with me. They didn't like the humans. They didn't want them back.
Just as it seems that we were splitting into two groups, a Combusken spoke up. "I'm not here to fight anyone," he said. "But maybe we should listen to our elder Charizard friend. I know some of you dislike humans but you must realize an important balance to nature has been lost. Yes there are good and bad people but without them..nature's out of balance."
His words confused me. Nature out of balance? What was he talking about? Humans were out of balance with nature. They cut down forests and drove Pokémon from their homes, to create artificial cities for their comfort. They didn't shape themselves to live in harmony with nature, as we did. They shaped nature to fit their likes. They were unnatural.
Now the group had split up, though not straying far from each other. Nearby, Talon, a Manectric called Kira, a Vaporeon, and the Combusken were talking. I listened to their conversation. The Vaporeon, I learned, had been mistreated by her trainer. She had been forced to train against powerful electric types and had fainted often. I felt sorry for her. I had once had a trainer, but she hadn't particularly been mean to me. She was just careless, and her carelessness had often costed me the battle. I resented her for that, but this Vaporeon - Mizu - had gone through an even worse time.
"It must have been hard to have such a mean trainer," I said sympathetically. All of them started. I don't think they realized I was there. Mizu turned.
"Yes... he used to like me, when I was an Eevee. But now he thinks I'm weak. He hates me."
I felt sad for her, but wasn't sure what to say. The Manectric - Kira - spoke up. "You don't want the humans back either, do you?"
"No, I don't." I replied. "I didn't have a mean trainer, just an inexperienced one. She used to make me use the wrong moves, and I would have to obey. Then I would lose the battle, even though I could have won if I could have done things my way. Basically, I just hate the idea of being a slave to something, and not having the freedom to battle when you want, how you want, and explore places you want to go. And I don't really like humans that much - they're too wrapped up with themselves."
"What do you mean?" asked the Combusken.
"Humans don't really think, do they? They like to build big cities and create all these fancy things to make their life easier. If we don't need those things, why should they? They remove forests and put their man-made things in its place. To make their life easier, they pollute the air, and the water, and make life hard for us wild Pokémon. They don't get it. And they can't live without those things anymore, anyway - I don't know a single human who can live properly in the wild."
Lex the combusken
---------------------
I sighed deeply. The longer we argued, the less of a chance we had of finding them all, safe and sound. I looked around as the quilava spoke and saw young pokemon crying and I merely shook my head, glaced at my new friend Kira and she seemed to undersand what I meant. So many pokemon talked at once and no one dealt with the crying young pokemon in front of us? What was that all about?
"I understand what you're saying, Mizu." I started. "That guy was a total jerk. If he had been caught by police, his sorry butt'd be thrown in jail. Don't get me wrong, I've faced some water pokemon myself but that was in legal competition. Not all humans are good, yes. But they're essential to life on this planet. Professor Birch even said that to me. All llife is precious."
I looked at the quilava and thought about how some of her species are starter pokemon in a land far away known as Johto. I learned about Johto from my mother and she said it was a fascinating place and she wanted me to see it some day. Chris even expressed desire fighting in the so called Johto league once I evolved into blaziken.
"Humans aren't the ones out of balance." I started."They're a part of nature. Yes, they build things. But they evolved, just not in the way we have. I dunno how much more I can explain, but I'm gonna go help those kids over there. If any of you want to help, I'll be over there. Just think about this: There are good and bad humans. From the sound of things, some of you had bad luck with creeps that the police would have LOVED to take."
Kira followed me to a group of small pokemon including a poliwag, a slugma, a chikorita and even a large baby munchlax.
"Hey, kids." I smiled. "Hope you're all okay. Sorry we were all yelling over there."
"I-It's okay mister." the chikorita trembled at the sight of me. "D-Don't hurt me."
I shared a look with Kira. "I'm not going to hurt you. My friend and I wanted to make sure you're okay. And It looks like you are. We'll try to be less noisy."
"O-Okay." the chikorita was scared of me. I wasn't sure if it was my size or my type.
I shared a look with Kira and I began to wonder if anyone else had the same view we had. If I could go back to the pokemon center, I could release some pokemon of my trainer's. I didn't get a chance to thanks to big orange and dragony.
"I dunno what we're going to do." I wishipered to Kira. "We're getting outnumbered here and I really want to head to the pokemon center and see if my friends are okay. Instead, we're debating BS. Everyone knows humans are essential. Yes they did bad things but people need to focus on the good."
"What good?" the zangoose Talon must of heard me.
"When a pokemon is sick and near death, who takes care of them? Humans." I snapped. "Yes some pokemon like chansey can heal or some milktank. But, generally humans take care of all life. Yes some like Team Magma are total creeps but guess what? There are those who fight them and others. You can't lump all humans together because of one person or two. There are good and bad humans. Just as there's good and bad pokemon."
I walked past the zangoose with Kira and I needed a place to think for a bit. This arguing was getting us nowhere and I've been feeling uncomfortable with this group, save for the manectric beside me. Was anyone else joining our side?
Other: None, really.
-----------------------------------------------
They say that Psychics can feel disturbances in the world shortly before they happen, and that's very much what caused me to break out of my Poke Ball when the world didn't feel quite right on this fateful afternoon. I had a premonition of sorts, a feeling that things would not be as they seem, and that caused me to immediately bolt out of my Poke Ball to ensure that everything was alright with my Master and his surroundings.
I looked around aimlessly; my master was gone. All the humans were gone. And so that brings me to the present; I'm wandering around Capsule City aimlessly.
A commotion from the park startled me; I teleported towards the area, being sure to stay well outside the view of everyone present. I observed the argument which took place, and the wheels clicked very quickly in my mind. The humans were gone--all gone. Not just my Master, but every single one of them, both good and evil, had all simply disappeared. I heard the Combusken, who I knew to be Lex, arguing valiantly for a search to begin to find the humans, while everyone around was bashing their trainers.
I sent a thought-message to Lex: "If you want to discuss the disappearance, go to the Cafe on Walnut Street."
Wild Pidgey chirped in the trees; I sighed, and then teleported to the Cafe.
Kira the Manectric
-------------------
After talking to that Quilava name Kiyell.I was getting really pissed of what he was saying about humans.So after we talked to the baby pokemon.We started to walk to the pokemon center but then Lex stopped in his tracks.
"What is it Lex",I said confused.
"I think I heard some one talking to me in my head saying 'If you want to discuss the disappearence,go to the Cafe on Walnut Street'"Lex said confused.
"Hmmmm.....I think it was a psychis pokemon sending you a message"I anwsered.\
"You think"Lex said.
"I think so but lets go check if its true and go to the Cafe on Walnut Street"I said looking for where is Walnut street.When we got there we saw a Alakazam with gold spoons sitting on one of the tables looking around.
"Are you the one we supposed to meet" I said not trusting the new pokemon we meet.
"Yes I am my name is Evan and I want to help you two on finding the humans"Evan said while standing from the table.
"That is good to hear and I thought Me and Kira were the only ones that want the humans back"said Lex with happiness in his voice.
"So lets look around to see if more pokemon what the humans back to join are search team"I said looking to see if they would agree with me.So we went to the pokemon center to see if we could get more clues to find the humans back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's it for me.I don't hate the Quilava I hate what he thought of the humans and thought all of them are the samewhich they aren't.
"When a pokemon is sick and near death, who takes care of them? Humans. Yes some pokemon like Chansey can heal or some Miltank. But, generally humans take care of all life. Yes some like Team Magma are total creeps but guess what? There are those who fight them and others. You can't lump all humans together because of one person or two. There are good and bad humans. Just as there's good and bad pokemon." Lex burst out at Talon.
"Ha, I'll let you know pokemon can heal just as well as humans can, if not better. And guess what, when people fight Team Magma ... they use pokemon. Trained pokemon are slaves, whether you like your trainer or not." He replied, turning around and walking away. He did not hate the Combusken or any of the other trained pokemon, he just felt that they weren't thinking clearly and that got him mad.
"Your name is Talon right?" The voice was new to him, confused he turned around. A Quilava was looking at him.
"Yes, I'm Talon. And you are?" Talon asked while pacing towards the small lake.
"My name is Kiyell, and tell you the truth I agree with you one hundred percent." She said catching up with him.
"Thank you. Ever since those humans came and cleared out my home I wondered what it would be like to live in a world without humans, and it had finally happened. I was left with nothing, but a few clan mates. Now it's the trained pokemon turn to fell what I felt like, to be deprived of your best friends of your home. And for all I care, I hope the humans never return." he told the Quilava. The remaining pokemon who stayed at the lake gathered around Talon.
"We, those who know the true cruelty of humans must make certain that they never return. I don't know where they are, or how they got there, but one thing I do know ... those other pokemon want them back. We must make sure they don't." Talon told the crew. At that point a few Zangoose broke threw the trees into the clearing.
"Talon ..." Said one, who was quite a bit larger than the rest.
"Yes?" Talon replied.
"There is a large number of trainers gathering by the city. From what we gathered the humans have dissapeared and those pokemon want them back." He finished.
"Thank you Falcon, but we already know this. Go inform everyone in the caves."
"Yes, right away." With that the Zangoose fled back into the trees.
"Now, anybody have any ideas of how we can get about stopping the human lovers?"
OOC: Guys, guys, Talon wasn't meant to be evil. But since you depicted him this way, might as well go with the flow.
OOC: Sorry, I wasnt trying to make him seem evil with my post, I just felt that hed be the leader type to rally the other pokemon that felt the way he did. Each side in this RPG has their own reasons for being on that side, so neither side is really evil.
I propose that the pokemon who dont want the humans back(Mizu, Talon, Kiyell) travel with the pokemon that do (Kira, Lex, Evan) so we can all stay on the same page in this RPG. The reason the pokemon who dont want the humans back will travel with the others could be that they want to keep an eye on them, and also to find out why the humans are gone so they can keep them gone. If we do this though the other pokemon probably shouldnt be all "YOUR FOLLOWING US TO STOP US!!!!!1" lol So if you guys want to go for everyone travelling together OOC post here and Ill make a post to make it happen ^-~
OOC: That leaves no room for exploration. Perhaps make a subforum simply for The Missing and make regions, etc as necessary via posts?
It's not a problem, I can have fun being a leader *evil grin*.
I dunno about that, it seems ... erm ... unorthodox. Maybe we can "meet up" in some places, but I don't know about trveling together. Or perhaps our side [Talon, Mizu, Kiyell] following the other side [Kira, Lex, Evan] although I don't know if that will work either.
Not sure I'm following you. Can you explain?
Well I pitched in my two cents, now you guys figure it out XP.
OOC: What do you mean? This isnt an RPG like Fizzy Bubbles, its basically like everyone is telling a piece of the story, so of course everyone will explore. The reason I suggested the six pokemon travelling together is so one group or the other doesnt get left out or confused. PM me though because Im kind of uncertain on what your talking about ^-^()
OOC: Yeah, but everyone exploring together means that we have to control other people's characters more than necessary, I think, to keep them in the group, especially with these long and involved posts. So by having areas that we can open whenever we choose to move on, and close up old threads when those regions are vacated.
OOC: Ok, then scratch the idea of everyone travelling together. Ill take Dark Fire's suggestion of the two groups moving independently of one another. That way each person will at max have to include two people (as well as any NPCs that come into the mix). I see what your going for evkl but I want to keep it simple, thats not what kind of RPG this is. The areas are made up by whoevers writing at the time, everyone contributing to one basic plot and playing off of the previous post that included their character. Sorry if thats not what you thought this was in the beginning, and I hope youll still post in it ^-^()
If you want a map made though, I will make one and add to it as the RPG goes along.
I go with you WOA.So are we going to continue the story here or some place else^.^?
