What is the most annoying level you have encountered in a video game thus far?

Heh, I remember in each of the 3 DK Country games there was always a level in each that would seem horrendously annoying for quite a while.
In the first one it was Trick Track Trek
In DKC 2 - Toxic Tower
And DKC 3- Rocket Barrel Ride

Each of those made me rage xD Especially Toxic Tower

The Perfect Run mission in Grandmaster Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2 also gets special mention.

Any speed level in Sonic 06. Touch the walls and it glitches.

This is a very big question... One of them is the second or third-to-last level in Pocky and Rocky on the SNES, where you have to get through narrow hallways with giant spike balls rolling down them while other enemies shoot at you.

The Ghostly Galaxy's Spooky Sprint level in the original Super Mario Galaxy is tough.

I'll also never forget the Barrel of Doom in Sonic 3's Carnival Night Zone. Before GameFAQs and the like, many kids like myself were stuck on that barrel because you had to press up and down to move it enough to get under. It was counter-intuitive to the rest of the level. See TV Tropes' Guide Dang It.

That level in SMG2 where that damn monkey makes you do that jumping-on-enemies'-heads challenge, and kills you if you fail to beat the score.

The Water Temple in the N64/V.C version of L.O.Z OOT.

That last level on MGS4 were you have to fight Liquid, on the easiest level it's fine but on the hardest it is a true pain in the ass.

Other then that most of the old super mario world levels I always find hard, even today when I play it on my GBA

The Great Bay Temple in MM.

I mean, it may be smaller than the water temple, but there's A FUCKING TIME LIMIT.

LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge (PC): The biplane minigame. I did so poorly at it that I'm not allowed to replay it in the postgame sandbox.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (PC): Escaping the Slytherin common room. You have to be, like, a ninja.

Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64): Shifting Sand Land, Tiny-Huge Island, Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride.

Disney's Hercules Action Game (PC): All of the "run the gauntlet" levels.

Pokémon Colosseum (Nintendo GameCube): The final battle with Evice. Still haven't beaten him.

I've got pages of these. I could go on.
