Scroll down for everything. Reading is golden.

Searching through URLs, I found pokabu.com and mijumaru.com registered correctly. However, tsutaaja.com doesn't exist. What are some other romanizations?

Tried:
Tsutaaja
Tsutaja
Sutaja
Sutaaja
Tsutaajaa
Sutaajaa

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

Since when do URLs have to do with it's romanization?

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

Exactly. Melbourne IT is TCPi's current registrar, whom also registered pokemonblackwhite.com and pokemonbw.com, and as proof that TCPi is the registrar, Melbourne IT is also the registrar of pokemon-gts.net.

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

I got a match with tsutarja.com

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

I love internet detectives.

Does this change the name's meaning?

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

Thank god it's just one letter that is different, wouldn't want to learn a completely new name.

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

All three names aren't even romanized yet - we don't know how the Japanese will spell them using the roman alphabet. It's like Rukario instead of Lucario, or Manafi instead of Manaphy. So this is sort of pointless right now. :p

Re: The name's not Tsutaaja

Yeah, I'd rather we not have this argument again. We already have it over little Z, don't bring the snake into it.

Is/was there an official rukario.com or manafi.com? No. Is/was there an official lucario.com or manaphy.com? Yes.

The site was registered by TPCi, for Pete's sake. Wouldn't you call that official?

And the Zorua/Zoroa arguement was easily stopped by CoroCoro.

Yes, but aren't R and L the same letter in Japan?

L doesn't exist in Japanese language, that's why R is used instead of L in Japanese. (Besides, the Japanese R sounds more like an L than an R.)

It's not like it'll keep the name in English anyway. think of all the sad little american kids trying to pronounce the name of their pokemon to no avail! Oh, the humanity!

... and Tsutaaja rolls off the tongue better than Tsutarja. That R just looks and sounds like it doesn't belong.

(and besides, i already got the name Tsutaaja stuck in my memory. xP )

I don't find any difficulty in pronouncing Tsutarja. Besides, as far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong), in some accents, when an R follows a vocal (like in "brother" or "more"), the R is aspired and nearly mute, so the pronunciation doesn't change much really.

You still say it like "Tsutaaja" anyways as PokéSun this week made pretty clear, so whatever. >_>;; It's not a hard R sound. Just a common long a = ar/er romanization is all.
