Over at this thread on Newsarama is an image released by Marvel. Showing what is "believed" (and I have EVERY reason to believe this is accurate) to be the post-Civil War Fantastic Four team. Combined with a rumor posted earlier this week over in the "Lying in the Gutters" column...I see no reason to doubt this as fact. I'm not posting the team in this post, nor linking to the image itself just to make sure that I don't spoil anything for anyone in the first post (no one may care, but...just in case).

I'm only surprised by the two former FFers that are sticking around. Though it does offer more explanation of post-CW events.

This is almost as moronic as when they changed the FF to Spidey, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and Hulk as a joke. You just can't change the Fantastic Four. They're one of the few superhero teams that basically HAS to have the same team all the time.

Hopefully, this will all teach Reed some humility. That guy is the biggest sexist character in every comic ever. He still treated Sue like a "scatter brained female, with her judgement and abilities clouded by female emotions and no thoughts" waaaay after the 50s ended.

Personally, I always loved seeing the FF as being OTHER than the original four. It gets dull seeing them battle the same foes over and over again. Throw in Crystal or Medusa and things get interesting. My favorite FF team was Thing, Sharon Ventura, Human Torch, and...whoever the fourth member was, post-Inferno. Allows the Thing to show off his leadership skills.

Black Panther makes perfect sense as a member (he was a Fantastic Force member, but never a Fantastic Four member before), and with Storm, it fills the married couple quota. Seeing Storm try and fit in should also be fairly interesting. Plus, it might mean the reunion of Reed and Sue following this whole Civil War debacle, and gives them time to actually be parents. Or maybe they're joining the New Avengers.

Looks like Marvel's throwing out ANOTHER "possible" Fantastic Four team. Over here you can see a...cosmic Fantastic Four. Stardust IS supposed to be showing up in a future FF issue, but as a member of the team? I doubt it. Though I'm wondering if we're going to be seeing a rotating cast for a while. Maybe Black Panther and Storm are part of the team for an issue, then leave. Stardust and Silver Surfer for an issue, then they leave. More likely, though, this is simply a red herring. This kinda works against the new image, unless it IS a rotating cast.

Is there a specific reason Spiderman is in his symbiote suit on that cover?

I don't really keep up with the main Universe all that much.

With him getting the symbiote in Spidey 3, he's going back to the black costume (non-symbiote, as far as I'm aware, since Mac Gargan is doing the Venom thing now) because he's "in mourning" over something that happens in the comics. He'll be in black when that cover ships.
