Is it me or have pokemon change alot during the past few years. Remember before the start of the Advance series Pokemon use to make those unimaginable things such as Tentacruel attacking the city, Gastly ghost try to find a sacrifice or something, etc which i reckon is fun to watch and when Ash always make stupid comments whic get on Misty's nerve. Now in the advance and dimand and pearl generation is too boring i reckon. Firstly Misty is gone and now Ash turn very mature (which he's not funny anymore) and there isn't any those unimaginable things anymore too.

Yeah I remember these days Ash got badges for no reason at all, where Misty barely existed, when a lot of the Pokémon had no personality/development at all, where Ash's rival appeared once in 325325 years, where character development didn't exist, where continuity wasn't allowed, Contests didn't exist, and more

Thanks god Pokémon changed

Ah, yes, because sympathy badges are SUCH a great message to send kids. "It's okay to screw up, kids, because if someone feels sorry for you, you can still get what you want!"

(Have the Lulz Gods been looking favorably upon Bulbagarden lately, or is it me?)

Its just grown up a bit. Ash couldn't stay a complete idiot but he still has his moments. Oh and what Piplup said.

The Lulz Gods have showered us all with great bad topics to mercilessly mock after the terrible Lulz drought of yestermonths.

Or they would, except I'm atheist, so they are really Lulz clouds in accordance with scientific explanations.

Sure, it's not a good message at all, but it was more entertaining than what we have now. There was a time when I was still amused with Gym episodes... now Ash knows too much and it's all battlebattlebattle, which frankly isn't why I watch Pokemon. *shrugs*

I hope English isn't your first language D=
Did you actually expect us to agree with your complaints against the anime...on the anime FANboard??

Ash isn't funny?

Dude, the boy's as hilarious as ever. Where've you been, underneath a rock?

:<

Although we don't get much of the same caliber that Kanto had, like Pokemopolis, PO'd giant Tentacruel etc. we on the other hand get something more related to the games which in itself is interesting enough (although I'm not familiar with the DP-games, honestly). There's a lot more continuity now too, which can hardly be said about the earlier seasons. (Oh Pidgeot, where art thou?) - (meanwhile, a Primape just committed suicide).

Ah, but during Johto, you KNEW when the gyms were and when the delicious filler was. Which is apparently why it was so maligned :(.

The good storylines are gone my friend, although you still get some now and then...but nothing, and I mean nothing will ever be Indigo again.

Misty? Who is this Misty that you're whining about? I know there was a character called May traveling with Ash before Dawn, but I've never heard of Misty.

nothing will ever be Indigo again.
Now come on, I'm sure there will be plenty of Indigo in the series... Along with Red, Green, Wisteria, Yellow, Burgundy and many more colours.

Johto was when I started getting bored with gyms. =( Meeting the Gym Leader and getting to know them is no longer attached to the fighting. It's a double-edged sword... the Gym Leaders are more entertaining this way, but there's nothing to keep me interested in the battle. Especially since Ash started becoming less of a lovable idiot and more of a... well. Just a lovable protagonist who knows what he's doing for the most part. =/

I think D/P is great in that it's rather unpredictable; you never know what's up the writer's sleeves, even with game continuity. No, nothing will ever be as good as Kanto, but in my opinion, D/P is the greatest since...it could be better if they weren't all "BATTLEBATTLEOMG" all the time, but there's some character development and some really awesome adventures here, too. It's a unique addition to the Poke-world, like all the seasons...

I think these "KANTO IS GOD, DP IS SHIT" threads are pretty useless and don't accomplish a whole lot.
