This thread is for my art.
What to expect here?
Mostly Pokemon /Pokemon Horizons themed fanart.
I use Krita btw.
I will start with this:

Corbeau and Arbok, Spinel being mean to Amethio, Dipplin, Spinel&Rubella&Indy
Ok so some more stuff I guess.
Please roast me and my stuff (gently, in a slow fire), I want to improve. I have been obsessively drawing spinel intensly practicing my digital painting skills for the last couple of months and really have no idea how well/badly I am doing.

The most recent one, Corbeau in funny shoes. He looks so serious so i just had to make him wear something funny for balance.

A surprisingly high effort 3 panel "comic strip"

You're doing great!!! I'm no painter, but it all looks awesome :3 so long as you're having fun!!

I suck at painting, and digital(so I cant really offer feedback >_<) , so I have mad respect for these, and as a Horizons Fan I may be a little biased. But regardless I think these look incredible!
Pffffffft XD Yeah, yeah he definitely would do that lol

I love me some Roaring Moon. What Mega Salamence could've been instead of whatever weird jet plane of violence it turned into. That Roaring Moon picture looks like it could be a Pokemon card! Looks like one of those japanese story depictions(idk how to explain it, I mean like the loyal three cutscene in SV), I envy people who can draw without borders, cause I sure cant XD

Squirtle, kricketune and wiglytuff near campfire, funny pixel art attempts
More stuff.
Some random pokemon
Squirtle
Squirtle walks up a log, like a turtle. The background has swampy/watery vibes.

I realized that I subconciously made a similar scene with wiglytuff that REND made, even though i do not remember seeing that artwork before i made this. I checked their page for inspiration after making this. BTW REND is goals.
Shiny kriketune and regular wiglytuff are singing a simple polymetric melody while sitting near a campfire

Now, something different. My hilarious attempt/experiment at pixel art. Lessons learned:
I should probably read a tutorial before doing this again, so i have any idea what to actually do.

this one is hilariously cursed, as you can see, i tried to do a chibi style, failed spectacuarily, but worthwile as an experiment, and is so funny to me, i just can't

This one is a bit less cursed, but it is 150 pixels tall, so probably too big to be a game sprite or whatever

Also, if you want to see more cat paintings, i added a link to that in signature, i don't wanna spam the pokemon forum with that :D

omg i love the squirtle painting! the colors blend together really nicely, especially on the shell and branch c: (and the cat paintings are super cute too :bulbaCute:)
if you don't mind my asking, which brushes did you use for it? i really like the texture they have

fellow krita user hello!!
you're doing great! i sincerely love how colorful your work is (you have a good sense of value/contrast too) and you keep taking on ambitious compositions which is really commendable!
you mentioned wanting tips so i could try to give a couple if you like? you have a great sense with color, though i feel your skill with color would shine even better if you were able to sharpen up the edges of your shapes and add a little more definition to your brushstrokes. not that everything needs to be super detailed, but like, purposefully adding definition/making things less fuzzy in certain areas. that squirtle painting you did is my favorite thing out of everything in this thread thus far and that's partially because the shapes of the squirtle, particularly the head and tail, feel very clear and clean. places i'd personally clean up even further are like, the outer edge of the shell and the branch, for instance.
in regards to the pixel art, you might benefit from some much darker linework. not that there aren't exceptions, but i feel like the pixel art medium usually benefits from high contrast colors and clearly defined lines.
but yeah your work is awesome keep it up! and i always love seeing more horizons art :bulbaCute: i am not going to lie, drawing a character you love over and over is a genuinely great way to learn because it's so motivating lol

Thank you so much!
Here is a Link to the brush kit.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and the tips!
Yeah you are right, I should get a better sense of edges and making my lines clean. My hand is wobbly, so I am struggling with it a bit. Hopefully with more practice I will get there, the squirtle was made just yesterday so I guess there is some progress with this endeavor already compared to the slightly older stuff. Really, thanks so much for the feedback, it helps me get a better sense of the direction i am going towards.
Pixel art is totally incomprehensible magic to me. Thanks for the tip, i will use it next time I try it!

out of curiosity have you looked at krita’s built-in stabilizer settings? your mileage may vary depending on what your motor issues are, but if you’re struggling with shaky strokes, a more weighty stabilizer might help. also, personally i don’t have shaky hands but i do have motor skill issues and i do all my linework with very swift flicking motions, like a very quick swipe of the wrist, and that helps keep my strokes smoother, but again i have no idea if that’d be helpful for you or not. and if i’m telling you stuff you already know/have tried: oops sorry
anyway it’s no problem! glad to help :bulbaLove:

I am aware of the stabilizer but I am a still unsure of all its settings and how they work. I will have to experiment with them more. Thanks

Kricketune and Wigglytuff looks like something straight out of PMD! Is it based on it? I wouldn't know.

Honestly, is this your first pixel art attempt? Cause it's way better than my first tries. If I can get good at pixels I'm sure anyone can XD.

I say all that to say, these look incredible! The shading and lighting looks beautiful as ever.

Not conciously! Just wanted to do a scene with Kricketune and this is what I came up with.

First serious attempt at trying to make a pixel character. Some time ago I made a couple very simple backgrounds for a friends romhack for our personal use.
I will keep trying then :D ( yours is very cool!!!)

Thank you so much :D :D

Kricketune and wigglytuff singing by the fire is so precious :bulbaLove:
Thanks :D :bulbaLove:
