So I will. I'm saevitia, I've been playing pokémon since I got Blue for xmas the year it came out. Truthfully, I skipped the Ruby/Sapphire generation, but I recently bought a copy of Sapphire and plan to play it after my HG/SS mania finally subsides. My favorite pokémon are the Gastly line and the Mareep line.XD But it's so hard to pick, I like so many. XD

Yeah, R/S I think the main reason I didn't get them when they came out was I heard about double battling and thought you would have to do it through the whole game. By the time I had been corrected and had the money/interest/time Diamond and Pearl were out.
 
I haven't really played 3rd gen at all, kinda skipped that due to financial reasons, but Welcome anyway.

(I'll give you three guesses as to my favourite pokémon, two of which you won't need.)
 
But double battles are awesome! Competitively that is.

The reason that I didn't get them was because my parents were too stingy to buy me a Gameboy Advance :p

I'm sure you'll love Gen 3! The highlights I can give you from the top of my head are the orchestral and beautiful music, some really good places and Pokémon, potentially interesting rival (Wally, that is. I say potentially because he wasn't explored enough and you might need some imagination to make him completely interesting :\).

Other than that, have fun on Bulba and all that. See ya 'round! :)
