All you need to know about my fictional card game is here. All you need to know about the fiction about my fictional card game is found here as well. Information more about the card game (regarding cards and basic rules) will be found as if part of a fictional guide, "The Official Pokemon League TCG Card Guide," while more information more about more complex rulings will be found as if part of a fictional web page dedicated to such things.

Comments, help, ideas and criticism are all welcome--don't mind the fact that I reserved the next fifteen posts. I've reserved these posts because there will be a sheer amount of cards that will be posted, and I don't know how many characters and strategies I'm going to have to dream up.

~

The Basic Mechanics of the Official Pokemon League Trading Card Game [this coming from the official guide]:

Character Creation--[This is a staple of all the card games I've dreamed up.] At the start of a match in the official Pokemon League Trading Card Game, one first builds their character, before building their team and commencing a match. One can choose any unfamiliar build, or even neglect to build a character at all; or, instead, players may choose to go all out, and play as a famous trainer in history, or even a current living legend such as a member of the Elite Four!

Team Creation--Your team is [generally] created at the start of the match, same as your character (although, a few rare effects allow you to add pokemon to your bench). Some pokemon require you to actually fill the role of a character, so creating the right character can be everything.

Goal Selection--Your goal is to draw all your prize cards, or else, to knock out every one of your opponent's pokemon. Your "prize deck" is determined by the pokemon character you've determined for yourself, and the team you've selected. Making yourself out to be a legendary trainer will make for a large reward deck, while giving yourself fewer and lower-leveled pokemon will make for a smaller reward deck.

~

Familiar Things:

Energies--Energy cards are used for attacks and retreating... that said, there are many new uses for energy cards in this game.

~

Unfamiliar Things:

Speed Stats--
Level Import--

Card Ideas:
High Expectations ?--When this pokemon is revealed when sent out onto the field, put 3 Expectation counters on ~. Every time this pokemon knocks out another, remove one counter. If this pokemon has any counters on it when defeated or retreated, your opponent draws one card for each counter on this creature.

Field Energy: Fire (Special Effect card)--

Strategy Work:
Low Expectation (low prize count)
Prize thinning (use of cards like Prize Effort)
In-match Summoning (getting a high number of pokemon onto your bench without increasing your prize deck)
In-match Evolution (getting stronger pokemon onto your bench without increasing your prize deck)
Power play (overwhelming opponents' parties more immediately with strong attacks/effects)
Time play (stalling with huge walls, with a deck built for the long hall)
Special Prize Attainment (drawing prize cards through special means)

Annoyance ()

Card Layout: Pokemon
Vespiquen, "Fortress" (Title)-------Bug/Flying (Type)
062 Combee --> 063 Vespiquen (Evolutionary Info; note, the cards have different orderings)

Pokemon Image

Attack Order (attack name)----------Bug (attack type)/50 (pre-calculation damage)
2G1[Colorless] (equipped energy requirement) / 1C (energy used) --- - (energy effected--here, not applied)

Defend Order

Heal Order

Weaknesses: Rock x3, Fire 1.5 ^/v, Ice x1.5^/v, Electric x1.5^/v, Flying x1.5^/v
Resistances: Ground x0, Grass x.25^/v, Fighting x.25^/v, Bug,
Speed: 60^
(Weakness and resistances can be printed differently--for example, if a pokemon resists many types, it may say, "Unless listed otherwise, this pokemon resists all types of attacks x.50," with its weaknesses and stronger resistances being listed as well.)

This Pokemon can learn General, Bug, Flying, and certain Special TMs.
Tags: Vespiquen; Commander, Forest, "Fortress," Honey-eater?, Sinnoh

Key:
^/v--if an attack would do an amount of damage than can't be represented by a whole number of damage counters, then a coin is flipped. If heads, the damage is rounded up; if tails, the damage is rounded down.

A card shading tool is used to "erase" attacks from a pokemon's movepool.

Also, Bug Energies don't exist. Typically, Grass Energies or Normal Energies are used in their place.

Grass, Fire, Water, Electric, Psychic, Normal
Specialized Energies--Grass Special, Grass Physical, Fire Special, Water Special, Psychic Physical, Normal Special (not counting as colorless energies, but physical/special)
Special Deck Energies--Solar Energy, Warrior Energy, Body Energy?, Mineral Energy?, Anger Energy?,
Rock, Ground, Steel, Dragon, Dark, Fighting? (Special?), Poison, Ice?, Flying?, Ghost?, Bug,
