The Physique of the characters

I know that this is kind of a strange thing to point out, but has anyone else noticed how somewhat inconsistent the characters' physiques are?

Take Ash for example: One minute, he could go from having a lanky physique like this




To having a more well built build like this




Just something i noticed is all, any thoughts

I don't think that this is an example of inconsistency, but rather just an example of how character designs can change a bit due to the change in animation. I really don't think that this warrants its own thread. It seems more fitting for a blog entry, so I'll go ahead and close it.
