Hey, guys. I sort of only made an announcement to the other moderators why I was actively taking a break from the Pokémon fandom, though I know I mentioned it a few times in casual conversation with some of you and posted a notice on my Bulbapedia user page about it. But anyway, I've heard there's been some confusion about why I was missing in action for the past month, and apparently some people have been spinning their own theories in relation to other recent events. So it's been suggested I explain myself, just to make sure the record's been set straight.

I decided to take a break from being active in the fandom - and pretty much everything else - for the month of November to take part in NaNoWriMo 2006. If you've never heard of it, the idea is to see if you can write 50,000 words of a novel from scratch within the month of November.

I didn't completely succeed in focusing on it, due to such things as problem users on Bulbapedia. But, well, I did hit my goal.

I'm very proud of myself - even if, 51,000+ words later, I still am not even a third of the way through this story. But still, if and when I finish it, I think it'll be my finest work.

Regardless, this is why I was all but missing entirely for the past month. I didn't realize it was going to cause problems if I didn't make a massive public announcement about this ahead of time. I'll try not to make the same mistake in the future.

Oooh, a book? How neat!

You'll notice everyone, more or less, is the same. Oh, and Brock gets a DP episode, don't know if you heard.

Yes. Everyone can stop telling me about "Leave It to Takeshi!" now. Like I mentioned, I had to go back to do some mild Bulbapedia work due to a problem user, so I haven't been completely out of the loop. XP

Welcome back Pie. You'll have post your novel in The Writer's Corner (something like that). I'd love to get a chance to read it.

Um. Well, considering it's approximately 100 pages long already and I'd like to publish it once it's completed? Sorry, but don't expect to see it in the Writer's Conrner. ^^o

Glad to know you're interested, though, and I'm glad to be back.

It's about swords, magic, and women who are extremely skilled in using them.

More specifically, it contains major screwups, destruction of government property, broken laws, drinking, human sacrifices, elves, kitsune, well-meaning idiot warriors, platonic relationships with horses, a legendary sword, pirates, dragons, and a whole lot more.

Ooooh, Pie, did you know there's an upcoming DP episode called Leave It To Takeshi? :p

Sounds like a possible candidate for a popular book which will be movieized after a few years.

Can't wait to pick it up! What will it be called? What will the authour's name be? In other words, what is your name?

Wow, that's really awesome that you've been working on a book. I heard about NaNoWriMo several years ago. It's such a cool idea! I keep wanting to take part in it. I've been working on a story for the last five years, but haven't gotten that far on it.

If it gets published, I'll be sure to blatantly advertise it everywhere. XD

Wow, my novel sounds like nothing compared to that. Luckily, I've learnt not to care about that too much so I'll just look forward to when I get to read it.

I am so not taking a break from the fandom when I start writing it.

Heh, same here. ^_^

I know I couldn't take a break from the Fandom, you guys are my best friends. *cries*
