Okay... Freaking out here... The joint of my laptop has almost completely snapped on the righthand side. The screw is out, I think my sister stepped on it. Every time it opens, it makes a large cracking noise, every time it closes, the screw hits the back and makes a snap noise.

I AM AFRAID THE SPLIT JOINT COVER WILL SPREAD TO THE LEFT JOINT ALSO.

If the joints snap, there is no reviving this is there?

What do I do?

There is, you need a new hinge part for your laptop.

Send it to like staples and they will fix it for a flat rate if all else fails.

The joint is the speaker, that holds the screen to the keyboard...

Well, I'd assume not, since Staples can fix it so easily. But just to be safe, if you take it in, describe the problem as best you can and they should know.

Strange the right joint on labtop is beginning to snap too but the cover just has a crack.
