Plot:

In the Pokémon world, the Medieval Ages are in effect. Many Pokémon now live in the castles of old, and the regions now have their rulers as king and queen. And unlike our Middle Ages, the knights were truly noble, and sought to protect the peasant Pokémon from robbers and barbarians. That is, except for one region's knights: The knights of Foran, King Har's Realm.

King Har was a lowly Zorua, with nothing but a small shack to live in. Until one fateful day, a PokeKnight took him in to be a page. And after years of training, he finally became a lord of a piece of land, and became a knight under the king, Garfon the Emboar. But, in a battle against the Unova region, Garfon fell, and the throne was unoccupied. There was a tournament, and Har managed to win, with his sly abilities of a Zoroark. Then, his darker intentions were revealed. He corrupted the region of Foran, and turned the knights away from the code of chivalry. This was the start of a dark age for all of the regions.

All of the regions were afraid of Har, as he bested all of the knights they sent to kill him. So now, they give him peace offerings, in hopes he will not take over their region. The knights then resorted to just fending off robbers and bandits who escaped the region, wanting to get away from the corrupted knights.

But now a ray of light shines upon this dark age. Knights from around the world are prepared to take down Lord Har and his knights. They may not be the mightiest of wealthiest, but they know they can beat King Har. The Shadow of King Har shall soon be gone, and the regions may return to normal once more, until the golden age of the Modern Era.

Now that that is out of the way, let me set some ground rules.

RULES!!:

- No godmodding.
- No coarse language.
- Please use acceptable grammar.
- I am the GM.
- You must join with at least two, and a maximum of six.
- All characters must be from the same region.
- Under special request, one of your characters can be a king or queen. The character would have to stay in the main castle, and must handle affairs throughout the region.
- You cannot, under any circumstance, can you play as a legendary Pokémon. Not even as a king or queen. They are considered the gods of this world.
- A character may not die, unless it is a temporary character without a sheet.
- Your character has a level cap of 32. If the Pokémon evolves at a later level, set it to 32, and call it good.
-Each character may only have 4 moves, regardless of the level it is learned at.
- Rpers' characters can team up temporarily, to keep the story moving of course.
- There are castles spread throughout the world, and a character may stay at on temporarily.
- Try to keep Pokémon to the region they originated from in the Pokémon games.
- When creating any character, you must have a steed for them to ride through the world. It can be any rideable Pokémon, regardless of region. If the Pokémon can fly, or can run extremely fast, or is very small, they do not need to have a steed.
-All players a technically allied, and you cannot attack them unless they challenge you to a duel. When that happens, the winner receives some sort of reward, and the loser in NOT killed.

Region List and their Rulers

Kanto: King Daern the Nidoking, and her majesty Saria the Nidoqueen
Johto: King Janos the Feraligatr, and her majesty Harrien the Feraligatr
Hoenn: King Yahn the Scizor
Sinnoh: Her majesty Ilia the Froslass
Unova: King Vakon the Unfezant, with her majesty Tora the Unfezant
Kalos: King Aaros the Pangoro with her majesty Bara the Pangoro
Foran: King Har the Shadow Lord
(This is subject to change when players request to be king or queen. Also, Foran is not available for choosing as all of the knights are corrupt.)

PokeKnight Types

Warrior: A powerful Pokémon who always helps the needy. Wears a suit of armor and usually carries a sword with a name of their choosing. Are knowledgeable in terms of attacks and riding.

Alchemist: A smart brained Knight, who uses their quick wits and knowledge to help them in the cases of battle. Although lacking in weapons and strength, the character uses potions and mixtures to assist. In cases of emergency, they do keep a small dagger on hand. Also has a chemical kit with necessary mixing materials. Beware of this path if you are one for close combat, for they are lightly clothed, and can be knocked in the best of instances

Archer A fast knight who uses their range to their advantage. Their bow helps in the best of instances, and can serve useful even in melee range. But, they are not heavily defended, and should stay away as far as possible.

Squire: Lightly experienced Pokémon, who have hardly been trained. Must remain cautious, for if you get separated from your master, it will be hard going until you find him again.( You must have one other character that is not a Squire to use this type.

Starting Castles:

Kanto: Castle Foart: A large castle that is heavily defended with all sorts of machines. But, once on the inside, the inhabitants are doomed. Has a river to the western side, and a mountain range to the north.

Johto: Castle Heaet: A forboding castle in the middle of a desert, the only water supply is the small well in the walls. The dunes of sand seem endless, but they only continue for about twenty miles.

Hoenn: Castle Mysta: A castle that somehow managed to get into a swamp, and still stands. When leaving or entering the castle walls, you should be careful of the sinkholes of mud that surround.

Sinnoh: Castle Blizzarsh: This castle is in the mountains where Abomasnows live, and the royalty do enjoy the cold. The mountain is very high up, and the village is at the bottom. The knights usually live in the village until they leave, and the best way to get up is to fly, or use the basket system. Messages are sent up these baskets, so the villagers don't have to go up themselves.

Unova: Castle Foliak: This castle is in the middle of a dense forest, which bodes well for the tree dwellers. In fact, this is a very secret castle, as it is in the trees. Not many attack it, as very few outside of Unova have ever seen it.

Kalos: Castle Sandaf: On the borders of the ocean, this castle is heavily defended from tsunamis that flood the shores. If this castle was to float off, it would be years before any new castle was created again.

Do not forget, there are other smaller castles in which the lords throughout the regions own. The knights can stay in these areas temporarily.

It looks interesting. Ah, what the heck? Might as well. :D

On the issue of steeds, am I to assume that this is a Narnia-type deal where some of the pokemon are intelligent and others aren't?

I'll reserve both of you. And GastonGibus, in my world of Pokémon, all Pokémon are intelligent, and the steeds as well. They willingly serve the knights so that the knights themselves have an easy way to travel. It can include flying Pokémon, as long as they are big enough. Although in terms of intelligence, they might not be bright sparks, but they can speak and behave like a regular peasant or knight.
Now, for my characters...

Name: Conner
Pokémon: Lucario
Moves: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Counter, Metal Sound
Level: 24
History: Conner was a standard Riolu working in the outskirts of the Sinnoh region with his parents. That is, until his father was forced into attacking the nearby Hoenn region. The battle was never won, and his father never returned. Not wanting to stay in his shack, he requested to become a page, and over the years grew up to be a knight. He now works with his steed Jard and his partner Historius, in hopes of defeating King Har.
Appearance: A standard Lucario wearing a light set of armor. It is heavy enough to classify for a warrior, and he carries his thin longsword in cases where his abilities will not help. Has a black tip on the tail, and has a red scarf.
Knight Type: Warrior
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Blizzarsh, Sinnoh

Name: Jard
Pokémon: Rapidash(I know this breaks the 'within region' rule, but there aren't that many above Lucario's size.
Moves: Stomp, Take Down, Inferno, Flame Wheel
Level: 30
History: Jard was a simple Ponyta working his wages as a plow tower. But, after his employers beat him for not working fast enough, he ran towards Castle Blizzarsh, and requested to be a steed instead. He got his wish, and was taught the basics and advanced techniques of a PokeKnight's steed. When he grew up, he was paired with Conner, and Jard is just as determined as Conner to eliminate the shadow of Har.
Appearance: Instead of a white coloration, Jard is black. Has a fireproof saddle in which Conner rides on. There are packs on the back of the saddle where Historius' supplies are stored, as well as any food necessary.
Knight Type: Steed
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Blizzarsh, Sinnoh

Name: Historius
Pokémon: Chatot
Moves: Mirror Move, Taunt, Round, Mimic
Level: 29
History: Chatot grew up as an apprentice to an Alchemist, who was busy trying to find a material to eat away a knight's metal armor. And during one of these experiments, there was a huge explosion, and his master was killed in the blast. Historius flew to the castle in the Sinnoh Region, in hopes of learning skills to be an Alchemist Knight. He was paired with Conner and Jard after his long years of training, and has grown to be most useful for stealth attacks with his Mimic ability. His potions are never forgotten.
Appearance: An old ruffled Chatot, with a special cloak fitted for his wings and potions. His other materials are kept with Jard in his pack.
Knight Type: Alchemist
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Blizzarsh, Sinnoh

Name: Dmitri
Pokémon: Feraligatr
Moves: Superpower, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Slash
Level: 32
History: tba
Appearance: Tri has a teal hide, littered with scars and bruises from excessive training. His underbelly is a light beige, and his teeth stick out like jagged arrowheads. A larger scar leaves Tri blind in his right eye. His eyes are a startling crimson red, leading his father to believe he was cursed by Giratina.
Knight Type: Warrior
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Heaet, Johto

His steed is gonna be an overgrown Houndoom, I just haven't gotten to his sign-up yet :p

Here's mine. Daniel and his steed, Gregory.

Name: Daniel Yorlan

Pokémon: Poliwhirl

Moves: Bubble Beam, Rain Dance, Hypnosis, Mud Shot.

Level: 24

History: For as long as he could remember, Daniel had aspirations of becoming a knight. His father was a knight, and he wanted to emulate his father's ideals and status desperately. As soon as he was able, he took on an apprenticeship under one of the more recognized knights, a brave and noble Empoleon warrior named Harken.

Daniel worked diligently to prove himself, but he was still very young and inexperienced. He was quite clumsy, and not as well educated as other apprentices, but he always gave his best effort in whatever he did. Harken saw his determination, and rather than brush him away, patiently worked with the boy in order to help him become a knight. After years of training under Harken, Daniel finally attained the status of Knight.

Appearance: Nothing extraordinary regarding his species. He wears a heavy suit of armor into battle that covers most of his body, leaving only his eyes visible. He wears a small red scarf around his arm the sways in the breeze. He carries a single broadsword strapped to his back, which he has named "Hope."

Knight Type: Warrior

Starting Castle and Region: Kanto - Castle Foart

~~~
Name: Gregory Lloyd
Pokémon: Rhyhorn
Moves: Stomp, Take Down, Rock Blast, Fury Attack.
Level: 28
History: Gregory worked as a cargo-carrier for a good portion of his life, using his strength and endurance to carry heavy loads across great distances. He was mostly satisfied with his position, but he couldn't help but feel a slight yearning for something with more purpose. It wasn't until the sudden resurgence of Knights going against King Har that he decided to join up in the fight.
After many weeks of deliberation, Gregory left his job as a load-bearer to become a Steed, seeking to aid the Knights in their quest against Har. He was accepted, and upon completing his training, he was paired with Daniel. The two became fast friends, and even though their personalities clash often, they are both determined to take down Har and bring peace to all.
Appearance: Standard for his species. He has a saddle that carries various packs and satchels full of supplies for both himself and Daniel.
Knight Type: Steed
Starting Castle and Region: Kanto - Castle Foart
Name: Kryus
Pokémon: Charizard
Moves: Flame Thrower, Wing Attack, Dragon Claw, Hyper Beam
Level: 32
History: Kryus is from a long line of Knights and is the latest in his family to bear the title. He signed up to become a page as soon as he came of age and has worked hard to rise in the ranks.
He takes his duties seriously, and has little patience for those who don't.
Appearance: Instead of the normal orange skin and cream belly, he is a dark red throughout, with his wing color still normal for his species. Green eyed. He carries many scars from past battles, but the most prominent on is the one that goes from under his left eye all the way down his neck. He wears a set of black armor that has been passed down in his family for generations. It is well used, but still well taken care of. He carries the broadsword Furan.
Knight Type: Warrior
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Faort, Kanto
Name: Caro
Pokémon: Pikachu
Moves: Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Thunder Wave, Growl
Level: 11
History: Caro's small village was attacked by a group of bandits. Fortunately Kryus had been patrolling the area, so casualties were kept to a minimum. Before he arrived however, Caro and his father were doing their best to fend them off. His father was killed in the fight taking a blow meant for Caro. After offering his condolences to Caro and his mother, Kryus made the offer to take Caro on as his squire, who quickly accepted, not wanting to have to be protected ever again.
Appearance: Is typical for the average pikachu, and has yellow eyes. He wears light chain-mail over a leather tunic for both protection and speed. Typically uses a bow, but has a short sword for when he's forced into close quarters.
Knight Type: Squire
Starting Castle and Region: Castle Faort, Kanto
*notes dates*
If this is still going, you can call me in.
So how solid is it that they've both got to be from the same place? I've got two characters lined up, but the problem is that they only really work as their respective species (Scyther and Zangoose). Here's the sheets for them.
"Come on, show me your blood, my claws wanna see it all!"
Name: Bugroth
Pokémon: Scyther
Moves:
Cut
Slash
Fury Cutter
Reverse Swallow Cut (Aerial Ace, but the JP names sounds cooler)
Level: Iunno. Say 30 then I'm in everyone else's range.
History: Bugroth hasn't been a knight for very long - mostly owing to some... stability issues he's had. Like a slightly very explosive temper, and a habit of using the claws at almost any excuse, or even without one. But desperate times and all... not to mention sending him away keeps him from terrorising those at home. In this sense, it might even be said that he was made a Knight just because it was the simplest way to dispose of him....
Appearance: He's a Scyther. Therefore, he looks roughly like a Scyther. He does have a very, very light set of armor - and by "set", I mean "a helmet". With a wing motif over the eyeholes, so at least it's not completely bland.
Knight Type: Warrior. Carrying a weapon is for chumps who don't have blades for arms though.
Starting Castle and Region:
"I've come to believe there's good in everyone, sometimes you just have to look hard."
Name: Zara
Pokémon: Zangoose
Moves:
Crush Claw
Power-Up Punch
Taunt
Hone Claws
Level: 32
History: Zara was a respected and well-loved Knight from the moment she was crowned as one - the people looked up to her and she looked after them. She was known as a Knight that embodied everything that a Knight should - honor, valor and integrity. Sadly, this wasn't to last. Zara was found one fateful day with her secret lover - not only was he a secret lover, he was a Seviper. Such a scandal would ruin her in the eyes of her people, so she ran. She was banished and disgraced in her home and hopes that ending King Har will give her standing amongst her peers again.
Appearance: She's a Zangoose. That means she bears resemblance to some kind of rodent. She favours a light set of armor - appropriately gilded in turquoise gems.
Knight Type: Warrior. She has a spear for use atop Fione.
Starting Castle and Region:
"Lady Zara, what do you need?"
Name: Fione (fee-oh-nee, like the Manaphy-related Pokémon. Yes, there is a story behind this.)
Pokémon: Flygon
Moves:
Screech
Supersonic
Bulldoze
Fly
Level: 31
History: Fione has been a faithful servant to Zara for all the time she can remember. Although she lives in the Zangoose's shadow, she does as she can to serve.
Appearance: As any responsible Knight does, Zara has outfitted her steed with suitable, if plain, armor.
Knight Type: Steed.
Starting Castle and Region:
All begin in Foart, remembering that Zara has fled her home.
