The Pokemon DP Adventure manga is over

So it looks like it's finished in Japan.

The September 2009 issue of CoroCoro Comics has the last chapter of the manga. A little blurb of text at the end of the chapter informs us that the series has come to an end:



("Pokemon DP" is finished with this chapter. Please look forward for Ihara Shigekatsu's next project.)

As for the contents of the final chapter,

- The battle against Giratina continues.
- Dialga and Palkia join forces to stop it.
- Eventually, Mitsumi and the members of the Ginga-Dan appear to help out. They give Hareta a bunch of Sitrus Berries to heal the pokemon.
- Hareta gives the first Sitrus Berry to Giratina, saying that he doesn't want to kick it while it's down.
- The battle restarts, with everyone at full strength. We don't get to see how that plays out, though.
- We also see Pluto running off, planning to awaken Headran. He's stopped by Hansome, though.
- The manga ends with Hareta facing off against Kouya at a Pokemon League-type event.

Volume 7 is already out now, so it looks like this story will be eight volumes altogether.

It was a great manga while it lasted, one of the best Pokemon mangas. I'm guessing Ihara is replacing it with a brand new HGSS manga.

And Stat Trainers other than Riley.

Pretty sad.

Hope that Ihara moves on and draws a HGSS manga.

the "heart-pounding battle" that Hareta wanted to have with Cyrus will have to be relegated to fanfics. And that we don't get a farewell scene considering that Hareta is basically responsible for reawakening Cyrus's human side.
