Anyway, I'd like to begin a Pokemon Rp, based on the Anime world. As it's my first RP here, I'd like to have it with three main characters starting out on their own Pokemon journies. Picking a starter pokemon, and travelling around, competing with Gym Leaders, in Contests, collecting only a certain type of Pokemon, become a Pokemon Watcher, anything that you'd like really, within the confines of the Pokemon anime universe.
As the Gamemaster, I'll be controlling my own starting trainer, as well as gym leaders, settings, etc. Battles and such will be dealt with like the anime, not like the four moveset games, using the pokemon's abilities, moves, size, the enviroment, etc. Also, like Ash and co always seem to come upon towns just as a certain festival is starting, I'll be creating events to interact with, maybe if you really wanted to, release a pokemon to ala Ash's Butterfree, but no such pressure is placed upon Rpers to do this.
I'd prefer Rpers that could do at least a paragraph a post, and would like a long-lasting RP. And while I am looking for new characters to start off, existing personas of other people could be introduced as people to battle against in the future. Please, no Mary Sues, such as trainers who have their starters evolve instantly, or immediatly go out and catch a Legendary. Like the characters of the anime, I'd like flawed characters, people who lose a match every now and then against an opponent who outclasses them, or who fail to catch a pokemon at times.
Who knows, as it's set within the anime universe, some familiar faces could pop up every now and then, although a little grown-up or not as you remember them in the present.
As for character types, the three main Rpers will be the Trainers starting out, although companions are accepted if you are in agreement with the Trainer you wish to accompany.
