Olcas could hardly keep from grinning ear to ear as he turned onto the Pallet Town road, the walking track beaten from all the Trainers that had begun their own legends from starting out here, handed their first Pokemon from the famous Professer Oak. And now, it was his turn. He'd be following in the footsteps of Trainers like Ash Ketchum and Researchers like Gary Oak.

Eventually the windmill that towered above the sleepy town came into view, the teenager breaking into the grin that he'd being trying so hard to keep hidden. He couldn't wait! He had thought long and hard, and he knew he wanted a Bulbasaur. A plant/dinosaur type, Grass and Poison, his enthusiastic brain supplied the information easily, not that he'd need it for much longer. A Pokedex came with his first Pokemon, and Olcas wanted the old Dexter version.

"Eh, call me nostalgic..." he thought to himself when he considered the newer versions, as he came into the town. He wondered what his fellow starting trainers were like...

((ooc: I hope this is ok))

"Ahh... you'd think they'd have taken us there directly, but instead they just told us to take that shortcut in that cave..."

A girl with a Chikorita pops up between a crack in a wall, in a path near Viridian. She seems to have some trouble getting out though the trees, as there are fences and other trees blocking the way. But eventually she makes her way out.

"Well, this must be Viridian City... We are pretty close, aren't we?"
The Chikorita seemed to agree. They were rather tired, but Hoshiko was excited not only for meeting proffesor Oak himself, but becouse she was going to get a pokedex, and soon start a journey as an actual trainer.

((ooc: She had the chikorita as her pokemon since she started learning about becoming a trainer at Celadon Gym.))

Ryoma smiled as the port of Cinnabar Island came into view. It was great to see the island restored to what it once was, rather than just a sad heap of rock with a lone Pokemon Center on it. After the tragic eruption, it was ironic that the Pokemon Center was the only thing that survived. But Ryoma Ashimi could already see the skeletons of future buildings emerging into the skyline, and couldn't help but smile wider.

"Chim chimchar!" Ryoma's newly aquired Chimchar, Sanzo, exclaimed, jumping up onto Ryoma's lap so that he could also see out the window.

Surprised, Ryoma laughed and placed a hand on Sanzo's head, rubbing it playfully. "Happy to be off the water, are you?" he asked the small fire monkey, who merely turned to him and grinned in reply. Ryoma laughed again and turned his dark eyes to the boy sitting across from him. He'd met him on the boat, when it stopped in Slateport City to pick up and drop off passangers, and had become good friends in the few days since. He knew that, having already recieved Sanzo and a Pokedex from Professor Rowan, he really should have started his journey in Sinnoh, but...he couldn't pass up the chance to meet Professor Oak, and this boat only made rounds of the regions once every few months. It was just a coincidence that it was stopping in Canalave just a few days after Ryoma recieved his pokemon.

"What about you, Noah? After this, it's just a short boat ride up to Pallet Town and then perhaps half a day's walk to Viridian. How do you feel about being back in Kanto?"

Heading up the hill to the windmill, Olcas took a moment to look in on the house of Ash Ketchum, one of the most famous pokemon trainers in the world. His idiom of treating pokemon with respect and care was one that Olcas admired and had resolved to follow throughout his own Pokemon journey, hoping his pokemon would keep him on that path in case he wandered off it.

Speaking of paths, Olcas soon was walking up Professor Oak's own. The ranches stretched around the windmill on the hill for quite a way, with Tauros charging, a Snorlax fast under a tree as a Heracross sucked on bark above it. In the field across an Arcanine and a Nidoking practiced a battle, obviously honed for battle alone, at least a while ago. Olcas assumed they belonged to Gary Oak, who had battled fiercly before becoming a Pokemon researcher, like his grandfather...

Reaching the door, Olcas reached out and knocked...

Travis walked out of Twinleaf Town limits. Soon, I'll have a Chimchar. He looked around the forest that bridged Twinleaf and Sandjem Town. A Starly flock flew over head. He saw two male Bidoof playing. I'll become a League Champion - count on it!

(Indeed, please read the Sign-up Thread celeblaiz. And could both of you delete those posts too?)

Answering the door to Olcas' knock was a early 20's boy with a green t-shirt and slightly green hair, accented by a red head-band. "Ah," he said, "You must be one of the new trainers. Welcome!" he smiled, opening the door wider so Olcas could walk inside.

"Yup!" Olcas answered with a smile. "And you must be the famous watcher/aide, Tracy Sketchit."

"Right on the first time!" Tracy laughed back, proud to be recognized. "Come on in, the professor is waiting for you!"

A powerful-looking Combusken sent a stream of fire directly at an Ivysaur that appeared frozen with fear. The flames enveloped the grass Pokemon as a tall, thin woman named Lillian exclaimed, "Take a look at that incredible fire spin, I sure wouldn't want to be Ivysaur right now!" As the flames let up an ash-covered Ivysaur was left fainted on the ground. A scoreboard showing the pictures of teenage boys, a ribbon, and two strange bars flipped to a larger picture of the teenage boy with blond hair and blue eyes and a picture of his Combusken. The word "Winner" was on the bottom of the screen. Noah lifted his hand, a pokeball within it, and calmly said, "Return Pecko." The fighting chicken turned red and shot back into the pokeball in a stream of red light. "Congratulations to Noah, the winner of the Pewter City Pokemon Cont-"

An unintelligible stream of words snapped Noah from his daydreams. He had been imagining his first contest, playing it out for the hundredth time in his head. He always won in his daydreams but he had never even participated in a contests so he didn't really expect to win his first one.

He looked at the boy seated next to him, Ryoma, to see that he had a questioning look in his eyes. Noah decided to answer the question he hadn't heard.
"Um... yeah, of course." Noah said desperately hoping that the boy hadn't asked if he enjoyed decapitating young children.
Noah peered around at the rest of the ferry and began to feel really tired.
"I think I'm going to go lay down in my room for a while," Noah said to Ryoma, "I'm not feeling well. See you later." As he began to stand up he felt large claws clamp onto his legs. He looked down at his legs, he had forgotten that his Torchic, Pecko, was sleeping on his lap. He picked up Pecko apologizing and returning him to his pokeball. Noah returned to his room hoping they would be off the ship soon, this trip was getting a little tiring.

(ooc: Sorry if the formatting isn't right I am using a comp I'm not used to at my Grandmas house so sorry.)

"Jeremi, look at that!" Celeb exclaimed as she drew her beath in short. Before her eyes stood the case of an aerodactyl skeleton, perfectly perserved. The mankey jumped up and down, pressing it's nose against the invisable barrier. "I am sorry, but we are about to close. I hope you have a nice day!" An attendant began shooing people out of the museum's front lobby, hoping none would lingure quit longer for she seemed exhausted already. With a grand sigh, Celeb and Jeremi made their way out of the building, expressing their gratitude to the nice lady. She waved goodbye to them as she closed the last of the doors shut, placing a key within the locks. "They were only open for an hour." Celeb shuffled her feet across the stone path. Jeremi's head lazily pressed against the side of her leg. "You seem tired, my friend." Celeb laughed, stopping to bend down to carress the creature around it's ears. Jeremi smiled, his eyes closing tightly as his grin disembarked across his lovely face. He was now level seven, as she had triained him vigorously against rattatas as well as some oddish and nidorans.

"Alrighty then, lets grab some breakfast." She smiled, letting him hold her hand as they walked to the pokemon center. They weren't busy suprisingly enough for it was the season for begginers once again. She saw some kids with a couple of starter pokemon such as charmanders and squirtles. They looked at her oddly because she didn't have her starter pokemon running around with her. Instead, she never recieved a starter pokemon. She was much too old just to go up and ask one of the proffesors and plead him to let her begin a journey with one of the easy trained pokemon. Actually, jeremi persuaded her to start this journey for he wanted to become stronger, and stronger intill he can prove to her that they were made to be together. Well, thats what the little pokemon thinks. She found him when he was newly hatched, his mother was never around for too long, hoping her child would either adapt or perish. The mankey had strayed within her father's aviary, lost within the fetahers and beaks. HE seemed to admire the flying creatures, as he had poked at their tiny feet, watching them fly away. Her afther's fearow didn't like this too much, so he decided to kick the mankey out of the birds' home. This is when Celeb vowed to be Jeremi's friend forever.

As well as strengthning Jeremi, Celeb has taken up the photography skills she learned from her older brother. Around her neck layed her mother's camera; its strap painted in blue and faded gold. "Nurse Joy, may we have a snack?" The nice lady smiled, petting jeremi on the head, "Of course, there is a cafeteria to the right room for all of you begginner trainers."

ooc: Too much? . . I should of just been short and sweat, owell. . .

Travis reached Sandjem Town. "Excuse me. Where's the Rowen lab?" he asked a random person. "A new trainer, huh?" "Yes." "Building on the hill. It's in the outskirts of the town." It always is, Travis thought. "Thanks." "Any time." 15 minutes later, he reach Professor Rowen's laboratory. "Cool place." He knocked on the door. Soon, I'll be certified Trainer! I can't wait!

After walking all day finally Hoshiko reached pallet town. She ran towards it, but accidetally bumped into a Nidorino hiding in the grass. It didn't look happy either.
She took slowly a few steps back... what could she do? She's never been in a real battle before, how could she face a Nidorino? It didn't seem as if she could run away.

However, the Chikorita stepped towards the Nidorino, looking at its trainer.
"You... want to fight? This isn't like the gym, you could get hurt!"

The Chikorita waved the leaf on its head as if threatening, the seeds on its neck were lifted.

"... I understand... You really want to fight. Then let's try it -- Razor leaf!"

The Chikorita made an slash motion with its leaf, making some leaves fly towards its foe. They didn't seem to do much damage, however, one managed hit it in the face.

Angered, the Nidorino ran towards Chikorita, tackling it horn-first. The damaged Chikorita fell a few metres back, but it still could stand up.

A man answered the door in a professor's jacket and a stern, appraising look on his face. His white hair and moustache were prominent of his features as he looked Travis over. "And you would be?" he said in a gruff voice...

Angered, the Nidorino ran towards Chikorita, tackling it horn-first. The damaged Chikorita fell a few metres back, but it still could stand up.

The Nidorino growled, pawing the ground like a Tauros ready to charge. Suddenly, the spikes on its back glowed purple, and it began to shoot sharp purple needles at the Grass-type, it's Poison Sting Attack...

Olcas was brought into a large room, after heading up some steps. As he entered, he looked around, various machines prominent, such as a pokeball transporter, a pokemon database and a Pokemon centre healing machine. He whistled in appriciation and looked down as movement near one of the machines drew his eye. Kneeling next to a Weedle was a man everyone recognized as Professor Oak.

"Here's one of the new trainers Professor." Tracy said, introducing me. "Ahh, thank you Tracy." the professor said to his aide with a smile, then turning to the young hopeful. "And your name is, young man?"

"Olcas, sir." he replied, looking nervous. "Well, Olcas I hope you're ready for a life-changing experience, receiving your first Pokemon." the professor smiled, pressing a button, revealing three pokeballs near the centre of the room. "This is always one of my favourite duties as a professor." he smiled. "So, Which one will it be?"

"(... I hope we can at least reach the pokecenter...) Chikorita... try razor leaf again...!"

Many leaves appear around Chikorita. The purple needles go through them and heavily damange and poison it, however it survives the neddles, and the leaves are all directed towards the Nidorino, managing to do a critical hit...

The very weakened Chikorita inmmediatelly faints from the poison after the attack...

"... I'm an idiot..."
Hoshiko slowly walks towards Chikorita and takes it out of the grass, and silently enters pallet town.

Ryoma chuckled slightly at Noah's delayed reaction. "I wouldn't go too far." he said to the other boy before he left. "We're about to dock."

Erin awoke with a start as a knock sounded from the door. She blinked and took in her surroundings as she slowly reminded herself where she was. The room was simple, decorated with neutral tones and was rather minimalistic; she found herself lying on a simple wooden framed bed with white linen. After spending most of the day before travelling across the continents, Erin had taken refuge at the Pokémon Center in Viridian City.

She had asked Nurse Joy to wake her up early, for her to make her way south into Pallet Town in order to begin her Pokémon journey. It felt odd, being in another region; she had only visited Kanto once before when she was younger, and it was barely for a day. She had lived in Johto her whole life. Her curiosity was itching; she couldn’t wait to begin exploring.

Pulling herself out of bed, she swiftly made her way to the bathroom to wash, before getting dressed. It wasn’t long before she was ready to go; she gave Nurse Joy her thanks and double checked that she had everything she needed before making her leave.

Compared to the long journey she had gone through the day prior, the short trip to Pallet Town had felt like seconds. She smiled slightly at a flock of passing Pidgey and was in high spirits. Just then she rounded a corner, finding her destination just some ways up a nearby hill; the distinctive windmill a definite confirmation. Minutes later, Erin stood outside of Professor Oak’s lab and rang the doorbell; incredibly excited about what was about to unfold.

"Prof. Rowen, my name is Travis. Travis Chorcino. I'm here to start my Sinnoh journey."

"Prof. Rowen, my name is Travis. Travis Chorcino. I'm here to start my Sinnoh journey."

"Ah, I see..." the professor said, a small smile hidden under his beard. "Well then come in..." he said, opening the door and leading Travis to a large room, wherein three pokeballs were on display. "Choose wisely son." he cautioned...

Erin stood outside of Professor Oak’s lab and rang the doorbell; incredibly excited about what was about to unfold.

"I think I'll choose..." BRIIIIIIIING!! Olcas jumped, interrupted in the middle of his choice. Tracy went right back downstairs in a flash, Olcas hearing an 'I'll get it Professor!' somewhere in between the footfalls. "Huh..eager, isn't he?" he smiled, looking at the Professor. "Yes, just the type I need to help me out around the lab. We have so many pokemon to take care of here, and fitting in research from time to time would be impossible without Tracy around..." he smirked.

"Anyway, you were here first, son so, you get first pick." he winked. "Lazybones Ash was left with Pikachu when he slept in...But that turned out just perfect for him..." he smiled.

"Thanks Prof!" Olcas said. "It's a really hard choice but I think I'll go with...Bulbasaur!" he smiled, picking up the pokeball on the left. "I choose you!"

Meanwhile Tracy had answered the door to Erin. "Ah, you must be here to get your first pokemon!" he smiled at her. "Come on in, the professor and another starting trainer are upstairs!" he said, showing her the way.

Erin returned the pleasant smile as she entered, and gave Tracey a nod of thanks, before making her way upstairs to find the Professor with a young boy who had just selected his first Pokémon. She smiled, “Congratulations! Bulbasaur are lovely.” she said, excitedly as she made her way into the room.

“Hello, Professor.” She commented, giving them both a little wave.

“Ah, Erin!” he turned, smiling. He had spoken to her on the phone the day before to make sure everything was in order. “Olcas here, as you saw has just chosen his first Pokémon! So, why don’t you come over here and take your pick?” he told her, motioning towards the remaining two Pokéballs.

Erin nodded slowly and wandered over, where she began to survey each Pokéball, expecting one of them to call out to her as if there was any difference. She knew well that it was a big decision choosing your first Pokémon, the one who most people stay with for the rest of their lives. After pacing the length of the table a few times, she frowned and looked over to Prof. Oak as if he’d give her some kind of clue.

“I’m sorry I’m taking so long,” she commented. “I suppose there is only one way to do this.” She said decisively, and with a determined nod she stepped forward and grasped one of the Pokéballs. Erin had chosen the second one in from the left and plucked it from the stand.

She glanced over to Prof. Oak once more, and then to Olcas before slowly pressing the button at the centre of the device. The Pokéball sprung open, releasing a bright light into the lab. The shining mass swirled out onto the floor, and Erin stared intently as it began to take shape. Soon, the light subsided to reveal a small, blue Pokémon. Erin’s eyes widened, it was a fifty-fifty chance in her selecting either Charmander or Squirtle. “Squirt?” it asked, looking around. “Squirtle!” it exclaimed as it noticed Erin, and went running to her leg.

“It’s so cute!” she chirruped. “Thank you!”
