Pokemon Shipwreck/Pokemon Adrift (EP 016):

- Team Rocket or Mewoth saying "Yanna Kanji!" after being blasted off by the Dragon Rage attack

The Flame-Pokemon-athon/?? (EP 033):

- Squirtle saying "Zeni, Zeni"

It's Mr. Mime Time/Barrierd of the Pokémon Circus (EP 064)

- Ash states the episode title as "It's Mr. Mimie Time"

That infamous "Arbok into Seviper" Trainer's Choice blooper

To go along with the It's Mr. Mimie Time blooper, the following episode was Showdown at the Po-Ké Corral, with the last word being misspelled as "Corrall."

One of my personal favorites takes place over two episodes. In Mystery at the Lighthouse, Professor Oak tells Ash that Gary has captured 45 Pokémon. However, in Primeape Goes Bananas, Oak tells Ash that Gary has captured 30 Pokémon. When I was younger, I used to joke around that Professor Oak probably ate some of Gary's Pokémon, as he made a joke about it in Mystery at the Lighthouse.

For some reason, the badge-losing episodes always have bloopers. In All That Glitters, Ash talks about Scyther and Pidgeot helping him win gym badges, even though Pidgeot was no longer on his team and he never owned a Scyther. Then, in Why? Why Not! (other than the title being misspelled when it was supposed to be a pun on Wynaut's name) Ash talks about earning the Glacier Badge from both Falkner and Pryce. How none of the adaptation writers, translators, directors or voice actors caught that is beyond me.

Then there are inconsistencies, such as having Pikachu being able to successfully Thundershock and knock out, among others, a Rhydon, a Golem, and a Marowak, then years later having him shocking a Donphan and having it have zero effect on it? The one that made me the angriest was in the Johto League when Harrison's Steelix knocked out Ash's Noctowl with Dig. The poor thing has maybe three good battles in all of Johto, and during its only appearance in the League, it gets knocked out by a move that's not supposed to hit it?

To be fair most of these are just dubbing errors because of 4kids.

Japanese writer errors are a different story.

The pikachu/rhydon thing, I thought the horn was to act like a lightning rod to absorb electric attacks and that would not hurt it, but it seems it did.

And on one episode a persian hit a meaowth with a shadow ball

another dumb phrase used in the anime (can't remember where): "Finish it off with False Swipe !" now thats just dumb

In the abandon ship episode, didn't Ash say, "Slaterport gym, here I come!" Despite the fact that Slaterport has no gym at all. (or something like that)

In Legend of Thunder, Jackson's Meganium uses Solar Beam on Bashou's Steelix and it fails, and Bashou claims it has no effect because grass type moves don't work on Steelix...now either he has an extremely *special* Steelix or the writers messed up consideribly, because Steelix is part Ground and thereby Grass moves have normal effect on it.

In "Hocus Pokemon", there's an animation error.

First, Togepi is shown playing with Ashachu and the other Pokemon. And then, in the next scene, it's being held by Misty.

That one's hilarious, lol. XD!!

In English Dub of Pokemon the first movie (not sure if its in other versions), when the trainers pokemon are being cloned, just after ash chases them to try and save them, team rocket are doing the "Whos that pokemon" thing again and the first pokemon shilloutte is syther, but they say "Alakazam"

I think that was done on purpose though

Here's a goodie from the dub:

It was supposed to be "Hooked on Onix

In Pikachu's Vacation, Psyduck trampled Pikachu and ran off-screen with the other Pokémon but then somehow seconds later returns to the core group of Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Togepi.

And 2/3 of the Trainer's Choices. One of my favorites being Beautifly being identified as Nuzleaf (or was it the other way around?).

Then there are inconsistencies, the one that made me the angriest was in the Johto League when Harrison's Steelix knocked out Ash's Noctowl with Dig. I can see why Dig could hit Noctowl since Steelix is huge and it can strike out of the ground and KO it in the air, that's not too bad. But I do agree with your anger that Noctowl got treated poorly.

Noctowl didn't get a single win in the league, but that's mostly because the writers were telling us Ash's Johto team was crap and that his Kanto starters were his "good" Pokemon.

The whole Johto league in general felt like the writers were saying, "Forget about Ash's johto starters and Noctowl, we brought back the classic Kanto trio and Snorlax!"

Notice how when Johto ended his Johto starters did not even get a goodbye? And the writers have continued to avoid those Pokemon like the plague in all the seasons that followed? Its almost like the writers themselves hate them.

To be honest, I felt that the entire GSC era (both in the anime and the games) were basically appealing to the RBY era. They didn't feel like their own games, but just expansions of RBY.

...Which is why I find people wanting a GSC remake to be kinda silly. I don't want to go through "empty" GSC Kanto.

What I also find extremly silly is fans going nuts over tiny mistakes. It makes for nice trivia, but it's just an anime, who really cares in the end?

And going through "empty" Battle Frontier Kanto was any different?

You seem to think "talking about", "bringing up", or "laughing over" equates with "going nuts over". Frankly you overreact quite a bit.

Anyway, there's a huge animation error in the recent Galactic double feature. There's a part where Dawn and Jenny are in the shot, and Ash runs over...and Jenny vanishes! He seems to run *though* her because of this.

Even so, the writers shouldn't have treated all aspects of the show that badly when it was airing. And to add insult to injury, they've gone as far as to sweep the majority of events of that saga under the carpet, have very little if any flashbacks or references to Ash's adventure there, and abandoned most of the Pokemon captured there as if they were the "black sheep" of his lineup.

For all intents and purposes, it really does feel like the Johto saga never happened. The writers go out of there way to remind us of the events of Kanto and AG through either past characters, flashbacks or references, yet Johto gets treated as if it never happened.

Its almost as if they don't even want us to remember it.

Orange Islands are the same way, really only being referenced in--guess what?--Johto.

Here's an inconsistancy if not an outright mistake--Seafoam has never looked the same way twice. First it's a tiny town that lives for a surfing contest once a year, then it's a bustling small city, then the town doesn't seem to exist at all any more and it's an overgrown island.

Unless the town was built up between appearences and the island is just another part of it (in the games it *does* consist of two islands).

We still see Tracey, and Charizard obeys Ash, both which happened in Orange and continue in the seasons that follow. (Whenever we see them, of course)

The Orange Islands were also briefly mentioned in Ash's battle against Tucker during Battle Frontier. And I forget, did Reggie have the Orange Island League badges? Or was that set missing along with the final Frontier symbol?

Apparently, Reggie didn't have the Orange Islands League badges in his collection.

I remember seeing only the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh badges there (along with 6 of the Frontier symbols, of course).

Yay, that's another region where Ash is ahead of Reggie! ^^

Hehe, Ash is awesome! XD

*In Gymbaliar, Jessie's Dustox uses Stun Spore. Dustox can't learn Stun Spore at all.

*In Challenge of the Samurai, Ash's Metapod does nothing but Harden, yet in the previous episode, it proved it could use String Shot.

*Jessie's Wobbuffet's Counter consistantly works on moves it's not supposed to work on.

*Team Rocket started going after Pikachu because its electricity blew up the Pokemon center. However, it was MULTIPLE Pikachu attacking, and it was really Koffing that caused the explosion- when it was hit with Thundershock, it unleashed a blast of smoke that reacted with the electricity.

*Brock enters Geodude in the P1 Grand Prix, while only fighting types are allowed in.

*In that same episode, Ash moans about not capturing any Pokémon recently-when he caught a Primeape not too long ago.

*Ash sends Muk to Professor Oak because it stinks through the Pokeball. This problem never happens in Muk's future appearances.

*Whiscash swallowed Sullivan's Master Ball and it wasn't captured. Yet Munchlax swallowed May's Poké Ball and WAS captured.

*Pikachu's Thunderbolt OHKOed Brock's Geodude.

*James's second Weepinbell evolved without a Leaf Stone in sight (although the forest may have been like that one in March of the Exeggutor Squad...).

*In that Tyrogue filler in Johto, when the guy mentions the P1 Grand Prix to Ash, he acts like he never heard of the competition he won with his Primeape.

*That Hitmontop filler in Johto, Ash says he has no fighting-types, yet he was but one phone call away from retrieving Heracross.

*In that Orange Islands Magikarp filler, Team Rocket tries to steal a whole school of them on the grounds that they evolve into Gyarados, a fact they conveniently forget every time they encounter the Magikarp salesman.

*In The Thief that keeps on Thieving, Ash is angry that Team Rocket stole Tyler's first capture- however, Tyler never captured that Yanma.

*In Princess vs. Princess, Lickitung beats Pikachu, Vulpix, and Bulbasaur with Lick- a move it couldn't learn until G/S/C.

*On the S.S. Anne, Geodude causes the boat to tilt dangerously, yet when Onix is sent out to act as a staircase, the ship doesn't budge. And Onix is heavier than Geodude.

*In that two-part Togepi-evolving thing, Shedinja's resistance to Corsola's Spike Cannon is attributed to its high defense, and no remark about Wonder Guard is made at all.

*In that same episode, Shedinja doesn't take much time at all to charge its SolarBeam.

*In Mewtwo Strikes Back, Ash's Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to defeat that guy's Venomoth, Pinsir, and GOLEM.

*In Wake Up Snorlax, the Poké Ball Ash threw should've worked upon making contact with Snorlax, rather than bouncing off.

*In that ep. where Ash catches Snorlax, the gang resorts to luring Jigglypuff to put Snorlax to sleep, while Tracey could easily have done the job with his Venonat's Sleep Powder.

*In Tracey Gets Bugged, Misty remarks that she's glad that Marill and Venonat aren't bug-types. Think about that.

*Five words: "PIKACHU, AIM FOR THE HORN!"

---
Not errors, but general questions.

*In Sweet Baby James, James has a flashback to him as a child playing with a Weepinbell. Might this be the same Weepinbell he later on captured?

*Misty loves water-types and hates bug-types. So what would she think of Surskit?
