The Creation of Orencia

This is the creation myth of Orencia, and tells the history of the region up to the invasion of the desert tribe.

Centuries ago in an untouched land two Pokémon were born. Upon the site of their hatching a beautiful spring bubbled up from the ground, and began to pool into a pond. For a time the young Pokémon delighted in splashing around the clean waters of their pond, but soon they began to long for more.

The Pokémon both sought out rivers and rerouted them to their pond. The pond grew into a lake, and soon it began to flow over a cliff nearby. The waterfall fascinated the twins, and they flew down to take a look.

They loved the way the water was spreading over the dry land and once again, they manipulated the it until there was a large river with many branches. Grasses, flowers and even trees began to spring from the life-giving water. The parents of the two rejoiced in the beauty their children had created, and heralded Pokémon from faraway lands to populate the newly habitable region.

Pokémon of many species delighted in the utopia, and all was peaceful for many years. Humans soon came to the area as well, and lived in harmony with the Pokémon.

Unfortunately the peace would not last forever.

A large mountain began to rumble and smoke one day as the small family enjoyed themselves near the river. It grew louder and more violent until the whole continent began to shake.

The father of the two Pokémon rushed to investigate the source of the quake, but soon cries of fear could be heard in the opposite direction. The movement had caused an underground spring to begin flooding the plains on one side of the river.

After ensuring that her children were safe, the mother flew off to assist the people and Pokémon living in the steadily flooding area. The two parents were communicating over the region using telepathy, and soon came to a conclusion. The only way to stop the mountain from erupting and covering the land in lava as the other half of the region flooded was to sacrifice themselves.

They quickly said their broken-hearted goodbyes to one another as the love of their children and their creation pushed them to make the ultimate sacrifice. The father flung himself deep into the mouth of the volcano and let out an awesome burst of energy which solidified all of the magma inside the mountain. The mother located the source of the leak in the aquifer and dove deep into the flood waters until she reached a point where she could seal them away with the energy of her life.

The children immediately sensed the major surges of power, then felt as all traces of energy melted away. They knew what had happened, and cried openly in a beautiful glade. Their tears formed into a radiant blue stone filled with love, light and a spirit of hope. It was this stone which helped them overcome the loss of their loved ones, and gave them the courage to do what they must.

They patrolled their kingdom one last time, and instructed the other Pokémon on maintaining the balance of nature and harmony in the land before taking to the sky, and flying east towards the lands many of the other Pokémon had come from.

The stone was hidden away before the pair left, and to this day no one knows where it is located. Its presence was responsible for keeping the region in balance for many centuries. The native Pokémon followed the teachings of the twins and for a time the land was a utopia once more. This balance was upset however when greedy humans discovered the lush soil of the region rich in nutrients and gems.

Working Map of Mineral Town

mineral_town_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5go9qd.png

This map is a rough draft for Mineral Town. It is a government funded community which was built to give a centralized location for new trainers to begin their journeys. Professor Aspen has her laboratory here, and has been giving out starter Pokemon for 30 years.

SilverMist City Working Map

silvermist_city_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5h00bu.png

SilverMist City is the largest city in the western half of Orencia. It was once the capital of Argentum and Queen Felicity's palace still stands here. The local Gym Leader uses Ghost-Type Pokemon, and the whole city has an antique feel to it.

I'd like to remind everyone that I am looking for feedback on my stuff :)

Working Map of Marsh City

marsh_city_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5h6s7e.png

Marsh City is physically the smallest city in the Western half of Orencia, but it has the second highest population. It is a beautiful city that was built upon the marshes. The local Gym Leader specializes in Poison-Type Pokemon, and Moonlight Marsh is a great place to catch Pokemon not native to Orencia.

Working Map of CrystalSpring City

crystalspring_city_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hcgw8.png

CrystalSpring City is the largest supplier of food in all of Orencia. The soil here is some of the richest in the region, and all the ranches and farms are supplied by the Crystal Spring. The downtown area is rather small, and it is a sleepy city overall. The local Gym Leader specializes in Normal-Type Pokemon.

Working Map of Primrose Town

primrose_town_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hhlz5.png

Primrose Town is a tourist resort, shopper's paradise, and a coordinator's haven. The Silver Festival is held here annually at the largest contest hall in the Western half of Orencia, and the residents are some of the friendliest in the region. It is also the only place where certain items can be found in stores so make sure to take a look around.

Looks like I am first to give feedback. These cities are amazing, all of them are big but still I guess theres more for a trainner to discover. The creation of Orencia is quite clever. Are you going to consider creating a villainous team eg. Team Rocket, Team Plasma, Team Galactic.
Well done, so far.

Yep Team Solaria and Team Selenium. It'll be a Magma vs. Aqua thing :)

And thank you for your kind words ^.^ I'm trying to go inbetween the game cities and anime cities. Not small and not huge

Working Map of StrongBow Town

strongbow_town_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hmzco.png

StrongBow Town was built close to 75 years ago as a military base. It was the main supplier of weapons and soldiers for Argentum until the war ended. It has recently been heavily influenced by the local gym leader who is from Johto. She specializes in Fighting-Type Pokemon. Caution is advised when taking on this gym.

Working Map of Evergreen Town

evergreen_town_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hq6j2.png

Evergreen Town is one of the smallest towns in Orencia. It is built around the forest, and was once a logging town. The residents who remained behind after the war helped replant the trees, and return Pokemon to the area.

The local gym is housed within a healing clinic and spa, and the gym leader specializes in Grass-Type Pokemon.

Working Map of NewSprout City

newsprout_city_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hwl0m.png

NewSprout City is one of the newer developments in Orencia. It was founded to take advantage of the amazing weather here, and grow food for all of Orencia once the war was over. The farmers here utilize Bug Pokemon in their feilds, and the local Gym Leader uses them as well.

Working Map of Avalanche Town

avalanche_town_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5hyheg.png

Avalanche Town is a newer town high up on the Left Twin Peak. It is contained within walkways and protective walls of 5 inch thick glass. They protect the buildings from the almost constant snow-fall but allow light in.

Very few trainers receive the Diamond Badge from the local gym which specializes in Ice-Type Pokemon due to the perilous journey up the mountain.

Working Map of Monkshood City

monkshood_city_working_map_by_silvermoon1661-d5i4xkj.png

Monkshood City is one of the oldest settlements in the Western Half of Orencia. It was once the site of a major battle in the Great War, and was converted to a mill town by the Aurians.

Today it is the meeting place of some of the most brilliant minds in the whole region, and is a patchwork of many different cultures. The local Gym Leader is a known telepath, and uses Psychic-Type Pokemon. Caution is advised when challenging him.

Well that's it for the Silver League locations! Hope everyone likes what they see, and if you have any feedback PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give it to me. I want to make the RP forum as user friendly as possible.
