Hey, this is my first fic here, and, don't hate me.

The Ridean Saga​
Prologue​
A girl, who was wearing a green long sleeved jacket, white shirt, beige cargo pants, and black trainers was walking in Littleroot Town. Her name was Ridea, and she was 16 years old. She recently got a Torchic, and now it was a Combusken. Ridea had just reached Littleroot and didn't want to waste her time here. She rushed to Professor Birch's lab and wanted him to check her Pokedex. She just caught a Poochyena, and a Taillow.

Chapter 1: The arrival of Locke​
Ridea entered Prof. Birch's lab."Prof, can you please check my Pokedex?" she asked.
"Hmm........ seen 13 Pokemon and caught 4 pokemon.......... Hmm... you are doing well for a beginner." said Prof Birch.
"Okay, thanks, Prof" said Ridea.
As she walked out, a guy wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, blue trousers, and brown shoes, who was 17 years old bumped into Ridea by mistake.
"Sorry, young lady, I didn't see where I was going" the guy apologized.
"Apology accepted. I am Ridea. What's your name?" asked Ridea.
"My name is Locke, pleased to meet you, Ridea." answered Locke, as he introduced himself.
"Do you care to travel with me?" Ridea inquired.
"I was about to ask the same thing! I will. The more, the merrier!" replied Locke in agreement.
"Okay. Let's get going, Locke!" said Ridea happlily.
The two Trainers walked through Route 101. Locke started a conversation.
"So, what's your Pokemon?" Locke asked.
"A Combusken, Poochyena and a Taillow. How bout you?" said Ridea, happy and curious.
"I have a Marshtomp, Ralts and Taillow." answered Locke.

Why are they traveling together? They just met thirty seconds ago!

It would be nice to have some background--like, do they know each other before this? Why do they want to travel together so quickly?
 
Chapter 2: Familiar Faces​
Ridea said "I feel I've seen you before....."
Flashback
Ridea was walking towards Rustboro City, and saw Locke Pokemon Battling 2 trainers, two-on-two.
"hey, can I help?!" said Ridea to Locke, whome she didn't know at the time.
"Um...no need." said Locke.
"But those guys seem evil...." whispered Ridea.
After a few minutes the Trainers were beaten.
"Hey...my name is Locke. Thanks for asking to help out, but it really wasn't needed.
"Oh..my name's Ridea."
End of Flashback
Locke asked "I've seen you too before...haven't I?"
"Yeah, we met before I beat the next gym...." answered Ridea in awe. She never recalled meeting Locke until now! Then, two trainers came by.
"We challenge you to a two-on-two battle! For we are...Grant and Zip!" the two trainers shouted.
"Ohhhkay." said Locke.
"Go, Combusken!" yelled Ridea.
"Go, Marshtomp!" shouted Locke.
"Go, Treecko!" said Grant loudly.
"Go, Mightyena!" hollered Zip.
