Do you agree with people being allowed the Right to Bear Arms?

Do you think of it as right for a human being to have "The Right to Bear Arms"? Before we get onto this, not the warm fuzzy ones, the cold metal ones.
 
Before anyone starts saying "it's in the constitution," let me point out that it states the right to bear arms in service of this country.

Don't pretend to be able to make a judgment that has been disagreed upon for years by people whose jobs it is to study this stuff. It's an ambiguous statement.

I am personally against gun control.
 
Yeah, but why? If you have a gun to defend your own home then you are going to use it to harm/potentially kill another human being, you think it's okay to give someone the ability to take another human being's life? Even if they broke into your home etc.

Absolutely. If you call the police, then tell the perp to scram, then, if, and ONLY IF the perp refuses and pulls a weapon on you, you have every right to fire in self-defense.

And kill said person??? I don't, no human being should have the right or ability to kill another.

Honey, the UK has survived without guns and if they are under control then obviously it would be harder to get at them.

Actually, I think that's called manslaughter and it is indeed a crime.

Well, for one, if they were trying to kill you, your continued life. The point is, you have EVERY RIGHT to defend yourself if someone tries to murder you. Be it with a hammer, a gun, a baseball bat, whatever.

The UK actually experienced an increase in murder once guns were completely banned. Switzerland, on the other hand, has one of the lowest gun crime rates in the world, and every household is required to own a gun.

Yes, you CAN defend ourself, use a cricket bat or a golf club but don't go for someone with a gun, that makes you no better than the other person pointing the gun at you.

Still we have a much lower crime rate as opposed to America. (And Sweden's like that cause they're all too high to shoot.)

I'm not talking about morals but why would you have to use a gun, something that's only design is to kill, I wouldn't even touch one.
