Alright this is the Rule breaker gameplay thread if you wish to play then you must post a description and take a look at the storyline in my other thread titled "the rule breaker".

As of now four of the five hero spaces have been filled and none of the protagonists. PM me if you wish to be a protagonist.

I will be making the first in character post and you may make posts that get you to cross my path as a start, to get the story going. Everything after this line I'm now typing should be In-character posts.

Chad yawned as he shook his head, making his dark red hair fall everywhich way. It gave him a somewhat wild appearance that was helped by the fat that he was currently sitting up in a tree. He had spent the night in a tree last night, he was now regretting it because he realized how close he was to jubilife city.

He nudged the small blue pokemon that was sleeping on his lap, it stirred and sat up. The little poliwag smiled at his trainer as it jumped up and down eager to get the day started. Chad hugged the little pokemon tightly before calling him back to his pokeball. He then scooted himself off the branch and fell to the ground, barely keeping his balance as he landed in a crouching position.

He then walked a few feet towards the road and began jogging at a mild pace to warm himself up.

OOC: I'd expected at least a few posts before Jubilife City, but I can work with it.

As the morning light flooded in through the window of her tiny room, Grace awoke. The night had done a number on her long, white hair, which flowed down her shoulders in disarray as she threw back the covers and wearily sat upright, swinging her legs off of the bed. With a yawn, she began her routine. There were two things that she would do at the beginning of each day: Take a comb to her hair for three or four minutes and then retrieve the Poké Ball that rested on her dresser. This morning began no differently.

"Good morning, Misdreavus," she said as she tossed the ball. It soared for a moment, landed neatly on her bed, and opened to reveal nothing at all. "Oh, no..." she sighed.

This was not uncommon. By nature, Misdreavus lived up to its name. Grace expected her to leap out when she opened one of her dresser drawers or the cabinet behind the bathroom mirror or something of the sort at some point during her morning routine. However, by the time that she made her way downstairs and into the kitchen, no such thing had happened.

"Good morning," said a blonde-haired woman, standing over the stove.

"Good morning..." Grace replied uneasily. "Mom, have you seen Misdreavus?"

Grace's mother immediately froze, spatula half-extended toward the eggs in the frying pan. Cautiously, she stepped toward the refrigerator. A tense moment passed as she reached toward the handle with the spatula, used it to hurl the door open, and then instantly drew back, covering her face with her arms. Inside, there was nothing of interest. The butter looked a bit embarrassed, though. "No, I haven't."

"I should go and search for her, then..." Grace said.

"Eat your breakfast first. Wherever she's hiding, she can stay there a bit longer."

"Sorry," Grace replied as she headed to the door. "I know that she likes to play tricks, but she wouldn't worry me like this."

Chad had worked himself up a fullscale sprint as soon as the buildings of Jubilife city came into veiw. He was full of excitement at seeing the city ahead and began thinking of who the first person to help him would be, and more importantly how he would know.

Chad had never been a very social person so when Celibi had bestowed "the gift" upon him, he had never fully thought about how he would carry out the instructions he was given. In fact his only thought was to do the legendary pokemon's bidding without any hesitation lest it be angered. He was now working out the problems in his task when he suddenly ran straight into a trainer. He was at least half a foot taller and in much better physical condition.

He looked like he was about to knock Chad's head off but instead he shoved him back and said, "You just ran straight into a fight kid". He held a pokeball in front of him and said "Go Machop".

The small grey pokemon materialized a few feet away, and Chad responded by letting his Poliwag out. It blinked at the machop and sighed as it got ready to battle.

"Use leer" the trainer commanded.

"Quick hypnosis" Chad said.

Chad's pokemon beat the Machop to the attack and left him sleeping. "hit him with bubble"

"Wake up and fight you idiot" the trainer screamed as the bubbles covered his machop, inflicting distinct pain.

"Finish him with another bubble" Chad said. Poliwag charged up and let go of it's bubble attack sending it against it's sleeping foe. Yet the Machop survived, it stood up feebly and got ready to fight back.

"Bubble" Chad said

"Dodge it and use rock smash" the large trainer said.

Poliwag launched a cloud of bubbles, but the machop jumped up high in the air avoiding the attack and came down with a fist smashing against Poliwag. The small blue pokemon staggered and looked woozy, "Hurry use bubble" Chad pleaded, alarmed with the strength of the Machop.

Before the other trainer could even speak Poliwag launched it's attack and left the Machop sprawled on it's back. As the big trainer frowned over his fainted pokemon Chad motioned to Poliwag and they took off running down the path, and into jubilife city.

Nick took his first step out of the cab, a foreign air greeting him to a new land.
'Sinnoh Region huh?' He asked himself as he took a look at his new surroundings. The buildings were modern and dwarfed everything he was used to, however they weren't unlike the buildings of the Hoenn league, the ones he had recently departed from after crashing out spectacularly in the early stages. He took a deep breathe, the air was cold yet refreshing, a nice change to the humidity of the cab. He turned to pay the cab driver and stood wondering where to go. He was starting to regret skipping Twinleaf and Sandgem, sure there was no reason to go there but it would be easier to familiarise himself with Sinnoh, and Jubilife City was so... big, he sighed and grabbed his trusty Pokeball, he clicked the stubborn button, remembering it was in need of repair, he half heartedly threw the now inflated Pokeball, realeasing from it his brave blue companion.
'C'mon Totodile.' He sighed. 'Let's go find a Pokemon Centre.'

Chad made it to the streets of Jubilife city, he nearly collapsed on the ground as he gasped for air. His poliwag however just stood very relaxed, content to wait until his freind caught up with himself. Chad said "Ready for a recharge little buddy?" as he finally was able to talk.

The pokemon jumped up and down in agreement before following Chad past a cab and another trainer talking to a tododile. He glanced only breifly at the dou before he headed down the street looking for a pokemon center. He didn't have much of an inclination to speak to them but he did feel an unusally strong bond between the two that imprinted itself in his mind.

He looked down at Poliwag but he seemed to not notice anything as he hopped along next to Chad.

'I'm sorry but we don't have any rooms available.' informed nurse Joy as she handed Nick back his Pokeball. The young trainer sighed as his adventure to Sinnoh had surely got off on the wrong foot. 'Infact they just took the last one.' The nurse continued pointing out a trio of trainers, their was a fair skinned girl with dark blue hair a stylish pink hat with match skirt, a black vest and thick pink boots alongside a definately older darker skinned boy, his hair was dark and spikey, his green T-Shirt was cloaked under an orange and brown vest jacket, he wore khaki pants and white and blue sneakers. They were surrounding a somewhat excited boy with raven black hair hidden underneath a Pokemon league cap, he wore a white T-Shirt beneath a dark greyish blue jacket vest, he had jeans and black and red sneakers, and something else, a Pikachu, oddly enough outside of it's Pokeball. Nick smiled as he saw the fun the pokemon was having with it's master, he sensed a connection he hadn't seen between between master and Pokemon since the very end of his Hoenn endeavours... Wait, wasn't that the boy who reached the top 8 at the Ever Grande Conference. Nick took a deep look and quickly perished the thought. He thanked Nurse Joy for her help and headed swiftly for the door, as he was about to exit he walked flat-faced into a darkly red haired boy, the crash sent them both landing on their backs, and had caught the attention of all who were in the Pokemon centre...

Chad 's senses were rattled by running into the trainer while the pokemon at his side glared at the offender. Chad quickly stood up and offered a hand to the boy that had run into him. Noting that he was the one who had stepped out of the cab he smiled slightly and shook his head at his poliwag who was on the verge of attacking.

"My name is Chad," he said with a freindly tone, "Are you ok?"

Nick looked up upon the boy, seeing the Pokemon centres lights glare on his face, impairing his vision of his fellow trainer, all he could make out was a dark figure extending his hand towards him. Nick was somewhat suprised by this gesture of kindness. It took a while to let all that had happened register, and when it had Nick realised how embarrassingly long he had been sat there, He reached to the boy and clutched his hand, he felt a strong pulse echo through his body as he rose to his feet. He dusted himself off and prepared to answer Chad.
'I'm fine thanks.' Nick said. 'I'm Nick, if you're looking for a room there fully booked.' He quietly laughed as he sensed he was getting an awkward satre from the trio of trainers he had seen before. He decided to ignore them.

Chad nodded at the boy's response and decided to walk outside with him to avoid a large crowd staring at them, it was making him very uncomfortable.

"Well I've got a few potions so I should be okay, what do you say about a battle for the run in freind, outside?"

Chad said as he took a step away from the buidling as the poliwag jumped up and down in excitment of a potential battle, it then looked over at the tododile curiously, having never seen a creature like it before.

Chad hoped that the battle would tell him a thing or two about the trainer, and perhaps give him a clue.

'Hmm...' Nick pondered to the proposition, to him a battle had always been a formal matter, or basically for experience, a battle for what seemed to be for pure fun interested the boy, heck he had nothing better to do.
'Sure.' He said excitedly. 'You're on!'

"Nurse?" Grace called as she opened the doors of the Pokémon Center. Two trainers stood at the entrance, apparently going about their business. "Excuse me," she said, rushing past them and to the front desk. "Nurse?" she called again.

The attending Nurse Joy put up her guard at the sound of Grace's voice. She turned to face the visitor and was met with a familiar look of desperation. The girl was alone, which she somehow felt did not bode well.

"Have you seen my Misdreavus?" Grace asked.

"Didn't you try this one last week?" said Joy.

"I... Um..."

The nurse sighed. "Where is it, then? Video phone? Filing cabinet? Not to be rude, but I don't feel like having ghosts pop out at me this early in the morning. Really, Grace, you should know better."

"But..."

A nearby Chansey glared at Grace. She knew why. As much as it may have amused her, hiding a Chansey's egg from it isn't a good way to make friends.

It dawned on her that being the girl who cried ghost wasn't helping her in her present situation. "If you see her, please let me know." She bowed to show sincerity, though she was sure that it wouldn't help. With nothing more that could be done, she turned and walked toward the door, feeling slightly defeated.

Outside, the two trainers from the entrance were squared off as if about to initiate a battle. Grace stepped out of the way, but stayed close enough to watch, feeling compelled to do so.

"Alrigt then" Chad said with a strangely wild look in his eyes. He jumped several feet away from his opponent and poliwag micked his movement, taking a battle stance that couldn't have been described as anything but cute with the tough look the pokemon tried to pull off. Chad hardly noticed anyone watching as he nodded to his opponent to signal the beginning of the battle.

"Poliwag use Hypnosis" he said, and the little blue fighter obeyed extending it's hypnotic gaze forth.

(You can tell your pokemon to dodge based on how fast the attack is and junk, kind of like the cartoon)

As the two young boys battled a cloaked hooded figure watched the scene unfold before him, he smiled and rubbed his pulsing Pokeball in his pocket, "Easy now, my young one, you will get your chance..."

The following is an out-of-character post brought to you in part by viewers like you!

These are the RPG rules. You may want to pay special attention to this one:

This is the sign-up topic. Now, please don't antagonize us.

Addressing Ganondorf, I feel that it's best to wait and see how this battle plays out before my character does anything further. There are times when the best thing to do is wait.

(I get what you're saying, and thanks for posting those links. I guess we'll just have to see if Nick gets back on or not)

Satoshi stood by Lake Shinji, close to his home town, with his Pachirisu. Once ago he had seen a strange Pokémon above the lake. He did not expect to see it again.
He thought he could hear a voice of a mysterious Pokémon echoing somewhere. A shape appeared above the lake. This was a green Pokémon, so it couldn't be the one he had seen before. It disappeared. What was it?

OOC: Sorry my internet completely copped out, kapoot
IC: 'Dodge it!' Nick manically ordered to his Totodile, the blue reptilian attempted to leap out from the path of the oncoming attack, but was just still slightly caught, saving himself from the full potential of the attack. Nick flinched, that move was both fast and strong, he didn't expect something like that from a Poliwag. He regained his composure and decidedon a battle move.
'Alright Totodile, Let's show 'em a Water Gun attack' he commanded.
