In this game, the objective is to post a rule that affects other posted rules. Each rule has a list of rules that must follow all the rules above it, as well as itself.

As soon as a rule that has been posted before violates the rule, the chain breaks, and we start over.

So, let's say somebody posts a rule:

Poster 1 said:
1. No rule may contain any word starting with the letter after "T".

This means that none of the rules after this one can begin with the letter "U". The next person will post the first person's rule, plus his or her own:

Poster 2 said:
1. No rule may contain any word starting with the letter after "T".
2. All rules must contain the word "all".

The second rule does not contain any word starting with "u", so it's a valid rule.

Now, if a third person comes along and does this:

Poster 2 said:
1. No rule may contain any word starting with the letter after "T".
2. All rules must contain the word "all".
3. No rule may start with the word "unicorns".

: then rule 3 violates rule 1 because it contains the word "unicorns", which starts with "u". The chain breaks, and the game restarts with rule 1.

Note that the first rule does not necessarily follow the second rule. Only the rules after each rule must necessarily follow it. Note that rules must follow themselves. For example, the following would not be acceptable:

Poster 3 said:
1. No rule may contain the word "all" in any part of it.

: because the rule itself contains the word "all", in the quotes.

It is very important that the entire list of rules for the given round is posted in each post, with the add-on rule added on. Otherwise, it becomes very hard to follow what the current list of rules are.

That being said, let's have fun! I'll start:

1. All rules must contain some portion of red text.

All rules must contain some portion of red text.

NEW: All rules must reference the most popular TCG in the world

You should be posting them in a list, like this:

1. All rules must contain some portion of red text.
2. All rules must reference the most popular TCG in the world
3. All rules now have a converted mana cost of at least 2, and the list of mana used must be posted within the rule. I used 2 Mountain to write this rule.

No need for a "NEW" tag.

Also, if a rule is unclear or ambiguous, you cannot call a violation if the violation exploits this ambiguity. For example, rule 2 probably was trying to reference the Pokemon TCG, but I believe that the most popular game is Magic: The Gathering.

3. All rules now have a converted mana cost of at least 2, and the list of mana used must be posted within the rule. I used 2 Mountain to write this rule.
4. All rules must have a converted mana cost of OVER 9 THOUSAND!

2. All rules must reference the most popular TCG in the world
3. All rules now have a converted mana cost of at least 2, and the list of mana used must be posted within the rule. I used 2 Mountain to write this rule.
4. All rules must have a converted mana cost of OVER 9 THOUSAND!
5. It is now impossable for anything except goku's power level to be over nine thousand, even if it has anything to do with converted mana costs

You should keep the formatting of each rule. To do this, quote the post above you, and remove the quote tags before adding the new rule.

As well, rules should not be contradictory. If any rule makes it impossible to post further rules, that rule is also invalid, and breaks the chain.

Rule 4 broke rule 3, as it did not actually say what its converted mana cost was.

As well, Rule 5 both broke rule 3 and contradicted rule 4. (Rule 4 says that converted mana costs must be over nine thousand, and Rule 5 says that converted mana costs cannot be over nine thousand. Contradiction.) So the chain is broken anyway.

Let's start over!

1. No rule may start with the word "all".

Most popular TCG in the world is Yugioh :]

Ok, to the rules

1. No rule may start with the word "all".
2. Rules must be written with at least one mispelt word.

Ehh, Magic's been around for longer, I'd assume it has a bigger fanbase. :/

1. No rule may start with the word "all".
2. Rules must be written with at least one mispelt word.
3. Use the imparative form.

Nope, that is where you are wrong, but back to the rules

1. No rule may start with the word "all".
2. Rules must be written with at least one mispelt word.
3. Use the imparative form.
4. Make rules with a bule text.

2. Rules must be written with at least one mispelt word.
3. Use the imparative form.
4. Make rules with a bule text.
5. Use prime nbumers only.

So the next rule would be numbered 7, then 11, then 13, etc.

No "ignore" rules from now on, please.

19. Charisard says,

Oh, also, no trivial rules either. My rule 13 was trivial, since if a rule begins with "Charizard says", it can't begin with "Please" anyway.

That being said, I just realized that my rule 13 didn't use the imperative form, so I lose T_T

That means we have to start over...

1. No rule may contain a smiley.

2. Every rule after two not containing a smiley must contain at least two numbers from 1 to 7.

4. Besides containing two numbers from 1 to 7, each rule must also repeat at least 1 number.

I assume that by "dummy rule", you mean that no other rules will have to follow Rule 7 either.

*edit* I have 404 posts XD (Now to get 99 more and I'll have passed the error limit for Bulbagarden >:3)
